  • Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Trevally, Estuary Cod... This family from Gudang Country at the VERY TOP of AUSTRALIA gave me a lesson / hiding in catching fish. It was all alot of fun but also a lesson or another piece of the puzzle into Indigenous culture. An insight into what time of year different species are hunted and collected and why. The fish that you see the family catch this day went back to their local community to feed everyone including my family who Im camped out with at a local beach. Another AMAZING day in Cape York, Far Northern Australia

Most people don’t understand just how much our indigenous brothers and sisters are in tune with nature ie. the fauna and flora and how everything connects. Thanks for sharing this story Nathan 👍🏾🇦🇺

Awesome to be able to show your children where there food comes from, such a humbling Lesson that stays with you for life, and to instil so many lost skills that most of the world has lost 😞

It’s so important to us for our children to see this stuff and learn to do it themselves. My son is deep in it on the next episode!

Why so fixated on the title. He’s spent hours making these episodes for us to enjoy and learn from and yet the title is what he gets picked apart on? Locals can be locals because they’ve lived there for 1 generation, many of the people Nathan’s involved with have been there for hundreds, aboriginal, being the word that sets it apart.
