I crack the egg shell, and then use the same shell to spread out the egg whites thinner so that they cook well and the edges are crispy brown. Works well without basting. I can't baste anyways as I use very little cooking oil.
@@DavidPietersen Welcome, I do this every day now and have it down to 4 minutes and 30 seconds where the entire bottom is crispy, not just the edges. The yolk is starting to congeal and thicken, but still runny enough to be tasty. Occasionally, if the oil become pooled in one small area of the pan, I will sprinkle a few drops on the edges of the egg that is not browning and within seconds the oil will heat up and nicely brown the edges that had no oil. Once I got to know my pan, my induction stove power etc - it is a repeatable act that takes almost no thought to get right.
This was literally THE ONLY way my grandmother (who raised me) would eat eggs. And they HAD to be brown eggs or else no go. I'll never forget one time that I was making eggs over easy, and I served her. She pushed them around the plate trying to, unsuccessfully, make me think she was eating them. Finally, I asked her what the problem was and she told me about the crispy edges.
Lol this literally vietnamese eggs if you order anything with eggs from vietnam this is what you are getting no choice at all, they taste amazing though.
Foods like eggs, meats, and fish initially bond to hot pans or grills due to their proteins forming complexes with metal atoms like iron. Once the proteins are chemically altered via the Maillard Reaction (browning), they will naturally separate from the surface.
What's up with gen z and crying emogis? I mean, your life must be really hard to be crying over some part of the egg not being cooked, while there are guys who will literally drink the whole raw egg by itself.
Ty im 12 and trying to cook and these eggs were so good

Tyyy for this ! Im young and trying to cook by myself over summer break, so tyy!
I always add butter at the end, and have issues with runny whites... basting JUST the whites is a tip I desperately needed.

When it's almost done except for the whites I spill a little bit of water on it and cover it with a lid to let the steam cook the top
This is the truly perfect sunny side up, not whatever Masterchef is tryna do. Crispying the edges while still having the yolk runny is mind blowing.
Best on noodles. Thanks for the steel pan trick!

Yessss! Crispy eggs are the best! Off topic but is your brace on your wrist for arthritis? If so, do you think it helps? Thank you x
Do you heat the oil on high then lower it to medium?
I like using everything bagel seasoning in my eggs/toast as well
Yum!
The heat of mine is adjusted from 1 to 10 what is the medium heat
This is best version of egg I love , i dont like runny whites
What oil you use
THANK YOUUUUY
What I want to see next? Can you do one on how to make hard-boiled eggs?
This would be perfect for me. Because I like egg whites when they're really creepy. But have always liked it when the yolk is runny
😋😋😋
Is is vegetable oil or olive oil
yes
olive oil
❤❤
Ayo tryna find part one
Naturry release
does it matter if the egg is cold from fridge?
No way , the egg will be dry, and 5 minutes for a fried egg is way to long.
My egg dont naturally release from the pan😭
Ahh basting eggs never seen that before
Came for the crispy eggs stayed because of her beautiful face 😅
The egg white on top of egg still raw. You can baste the top and have a runny yoke.
Move the pan like your shaking a ketchup bottle so the eggs are untouched and unsticked
Thank you
Someone comment on this plz so i can cook it and find this video tomorrow
I tried this messed up burnt the eggs and the butter but still ate it

NOW KIDS CAN MAKE FOODS(my Brother do it)
They look good but I am so against any brown on my eggs. I don’t like the texture lol weird I know
Thank you me and my black ass cousin made a beautiful egg
what does “naturally release from the pan” mean?

@@peveral4246 Thank you
That’s a sunny-side up egg, not a fried egg.
What oil was that
Olive oil
Bro I burned my ass out
Crispy is BEST!
Crispy edges make me gag. Just preference
How do I make sure that clear stuff on top is cooked 😭

@@LLF1234 we use it as a laughing emoji idk why but we do
@@JGWed Well, it makes way more sense then, if it means laughing. There are better emojis though, as this one still looks overly dramatic.

Its a shame people burn their eggs and call them fried eggs
This is not burnt. Perfectly crispy in my opinion...:)
