It's so ethereal and almost multi dimensional at times. Formulas fatal to the flesh album is one of the most incredible listening experiences. Put it on and let it play.
Thank you for posting this! As a fan of Morbid angel since 1993, i never grow tired of listening to this amazing band Trey is a source of endless inspiration for me. Trey, in my opinion, is the only guitarist to take the whole "chaotic" style of soloing that was pooularuzed by Slayer, to an all new ,and exciting , creative place. He is a true artist and an innovator through and through!
@@MonopteraMusic underselling him on a criminal level . I have a lot of respect for king and Hanneman , they both ,,,( especially Hanneman) played a huge part in the evolution of extreme metal .THat being said, Trey is way more technically proficient , Trey's rhythm playing alone is super intricate. He is also a lot more creative as a lead player and at least in my opinion he plays with more feeling. Trey is the most unorthodox , and weird , psychedelic death metal player of all time. I have friends who are into more commercial rock and metal and they totally don't " get" his style 😊 and I don't think they ever will
@@MonopteraMusic lol it's easy to overlook some of Trey's soloing. His picking isn't the best but I believe that his reckless abandon is a big part of what makes him special. I believe a lot of death metal guitarists may have better technique ( especially in recent years,) but they have little to say. As you can tell I really geek out on his playing .I am not that into kingdoms disdained though.
@@joshpelton8068 yes! i’ve studied production for a diploma and now for a degree and treys will to experiment with weird what the fuck sounds and recording methods inspires me massively, so many other death metallers wouldnt even bother with stuff like that and it’s just so cool dude, but yeah kingdoms is one if their weakest imo they played it way too safe even after illud
This is amazing to have here. Im a huge fan and know a lot about Trey and the band and fallow his new UA-cam channel as well after his old one was deleted. At one point i had almost all the gear he uses except the eventide and the rockman.
@mioakiyama4919 tnx man,...though trey seems to be a shy guy,...i think he needs our love (like his fans apreciation and all that shit),...but thats my humble and ignorant opinion...man i dont know what im talking about,...tnx again for this upload....this guy´s playing is amazing,..unique...i´d love to have him in a barbecue
I know possessed and death get the credit (and rightly so) for creating death metal, but the first album that is 100% pure death metal to me is altars of madness.
@@scaleitback1055 It's their best album despite the rerecordings and incredibly dry and hyper compressed production, that never feels loud enough. Never been a huge fan of Covenant and wish they kept down the path with Blessed.
I never realized what a great band they were until recently. Trey is a crazy great guitarist. Some of it is unreal.

Best death metal band in existence since Altars dropped in the 80s. Leagues ahead of everyone else.

always seen trey as like kerry king with tasteful phrasing but that's really underselling him tbh

Insanity, easily in the top 5 guitar players of all time in my book
LOVE OF LAVA
So unbelievably insane. One of my favorite metal guitarists ever.
Thank you Mio Akiyama, glorious bass queen
Cool Vid, thanx for sharing 👿
Thanks for doing this. Sounds amazing getting to hear these leads by themselves \m/
Amazing style

What's his new UA-cam channel? I've been looking for it since dark sprockett was deleted

This is sick rock on 🤘
I never realized how much delay and reverb he used. Still awesome though
Blessed vid
incredible!!!
Is this mainly the Love of Lava comp? Not many older solos here, but I love these, and listened to them going on 15 years ago, damn thats wild.

All lava, no acid? Where's the acid?
Covenant?
What a Cat in a blender sounds like 🙀
Fragmented, abstract, arbitrary, obscure, noisy and just plain weird..
