Walt Disney World History: Fantasmic!

Fantasmic! opened over in Walt Disney World in 1998 after Disneyland's version proved to be incredibly popular in 1992. It helped expand Florida's Disney MGM Studios (now Hollywood Studios) and give people more reason to stay in that park. Let’s look at the Walt Disney World history that has led to today.

What do you think of Walt Disney World's Fantasmic? What changes would you like to see made?

I would love to everything, including the stage change because the hollow back of the mountain wouldn't make make look like an actual mountain. Perhaps they should import the music from the opening and ending, and some of the storyline (including the updated princess scene) and fountain geysers from the Disneyland version, and use a Sorcerer Hat TV (similar to the Tokyo version) replacing the mountain. I'd also like to see DuckTales (joining Aladdin), TaleSpin (joining the The Lion King with the Tokyo Disney Sea neon-lit monkeys), Lilo and Stitch, Moana, Frozen II (in place of Pocahontas) playing major parts and, Captain Hook and Facilier replacing Frollo (since he's underrated) during the villain takeover. Oh yeah, they should develop a new boat too!

Hi! I have an idea. I would love if you could make an evolution video series about the Disney movies and Characters (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars or characters as Anakin Skywalker, Buzz lightyear or Tony Stark) . Like really in detail. I would really love that!! I think more will do! You video's are amazing dude! When you get 100k i will be there! Keep up the good work!!

I thought it would be cool if instead of the night on bald mountain scene just appearing on the water screens, what if somehow the mountain on the stage opened up and transformed into a giant animatronic demon, also they could project ghosts onto the rest of the stage. This could even replace the dragon scene just to change things up!

Ooooh, that's sounds really cool! And can you imagine what they could do with some good 3d projection mapping for getting the all of the flying ghosts and ghouls and such coming down the mountain?

I think Fantastic should be updated for the 50th anniversary and include more villains like Hans, Gothel, Faciler, and Lady Tremaine. I agree with you that we need to change the Pochantis section to a Moana section. We also need to have both a Jafar snake and Maleficent dragon animatronics. Also, use the projector on the island to bring the bubbles and Magic Mirror in it

Now That Tokyo Disney Sea Fantasmic Is Now Close, Do You Think Disney World Might Get Some Of The Things They Have Use At Tokyo Disney Sea For There Fantasmic For WDW Fantasmic And Just In Time For WDW 50th Anniversary.

Certainly could see that as a possibility. We've seen it before with some of the parades and shows, so certainly possible. Here's hoping!

actually the fantasmic dragon did get get an update in wdw they added new lights to the wings

I would love to see an updated version. Add some more villains (Ursula float, Scar puppet, Hades in person, Faciler and Gothel). Remove Pochantis segment for a Milan segment.
