Awesome video! I hooked my finger bad while musky fishing 10 years ago I ended up just cutting off my finger and casting it out caught my biggest musky ever! Got into the boat retrieved my finger from fish and sewed it back on with line when I got back to shore😉
I have hooked myself but never bad enough to stop fishing, they we're never very deep so just pulled it out. I have heard that if its deep to push the barb through so to cut it off and comes out easier
I did the same as you Shaun. Work it out and get back to fishing ;) Got mine in the side of the finger a couple of years back and yeah , it's painful but who wants to quit fishing ?!!!
Always enjoy your salmon videos on Lake O. They are informative and educational and sometimes dangerous. Getting a treble hook in your finger is painful and can ruin a good day of fishing. Stay safe out there.
That’s awesome. Buck up, yank it out and fish on!!!!!! Black tape is always with me on the boat, it’ll stop the bleeding. Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular is on right now. It’s some tense action. Due to covid it was cancelled last year but the year before I put a hook about that deep in my arm. Yank and go was the solution. No line in the water, no fish on the hook. Ain’t never seen anyone catch a fish in emerg!!!! 😂 Tight lines bro.
Where do I find calm Lake Ontario like this. I boat out of Brighton where I live, sometimes Wellington. The lake is more often than not quite choppy, white caps etc. My boat Is 18 foot Lund and it can handle it , I just slow down, but trolling would be out of the question.
Hey there, what’s the green line your using? High vis with Fluor?

You don't like salmon grilled, smoked or canned?? What's up with that?
Not all the fish are stocked in Lake Ontario

Some days we get lucky 😁👍 I have been a windy Summer though hasn't it.
Christian hooked me in the back of the ear once whilst being a bellend.
Ouch! 😳 and you are still friends? 😁😆
Haa haa, salmon are biting, treble in the finger. Bugger it I'll just yank and keep fishing. BTDT, salmon fever should be a recognized condition.
😆👏 you nailed it Chuck! 👍😁
