- In this part I'm fixing in the chassis brackets I made last time, and begin on the base structure for each mount. This is so that I can build up the structure from these up to the mount bushings with the engine back in the bay. I also look at a hydraulic clutch master cylinder, and try to install some shiny new parts from Forge Motorsport.

Great video as always! The way the clutch cylinder just bolted straight on was satisfying
Need an easy win like that sometimes
Excellent video mate keep
Up the good work
brotha your welder is either not set hot enough or you're moving too fast, keep in mind that when the material gets hot it will melt faster and quicker. If you take the engine out for what ever reason grind and re weld them welds like that can crack over time. you can find your welders recommended settings chart for the thickness of metal your welding, this would be the thickness of the bracket material.
Looking good 👍
Tough day. Working on a 20+ year old engine has challenges. That plastic pipe was bound to break. Not looking forward to doing mine when I put in a catch can.
Im not sure but maybe when welding the engine mounts in you need to clean up the metal more or your welds won’t be good no matter how good you are at welding 😊
I think you're correct. After spending a bit of time cleaning the mill scale from other parts I've made, the quality of the welds have definitely improved. Moving to a thicker MIG wire has helped a lot too.
real back yard engineering
I hate it when people just throwing money at builds buying pre made engine mounts
Yeah bolt on stuff is great sometimes, but for what I'm doing I'd have to modify anything I buy off the shelf anyway, so might as well make it from scratch.
