I've been living and studying abroad for five months now but next month I'm finally going back home, italy's countryside is at it's most beautiful during the warmer seasons and I've truly been feeling nature's fingertips brushing my heart lately, i can't wait
Emma, I never comment but hearing you talk about cormorants, I think you would love birding. All you need is a good pair of binoculars (not really cheap ones) and you will see so many beautiful birds right around you. When I watch your nature montage I can hear all kinds of birds. Unless you’re already a birder and I just don’t know! Just an idea that occurred to me when you mentioned your obsession with cormorants… ❤❤❤
Oh the old aesthetic of yours! The nature, flowers, Evie, books and the fullness of it all. I love it. Just so heartwarming and relaxing. I get your excitement and not wanting to film Emma. It's the best when enjoyed fully without any worries of capturing. I missed this so much. I mean, I love to listen you talking about books, but I'm forever stuck in your older videos and the vibes of it.
It just makes me happy to see you happy, Emma; you just light up your corner of the world. I especially loved the golfing with Ben. I can't wait to see what you and your Mom got up to on your trip.
In Persuasion one of the plots is a vacation to Bath where they spend a lot of time by the sea (and it also has some characters who are sailors) so I don’t think it’s actually that far off theme haha. It’s very different from Austen’s other work but I love it :)
The first time I went whaling, I cried my eyes out and started a whale obsession 😅 I am so happy that you get to go to Newfoundland and explore. You seem so alive when you are in nature and in movement. It’s contagious ❤️ Thank you for this slice of life vlog.
I’m in south Louisiana. The cormorants are here in the winter. And the loons. And a zillion other migratory birds. I love them all so much. Our seasons are reversed - the summer is impossibly hot here and everyone stays inside. We have about 8 months of good weather here.
Love it when the weather gets warm enough that you can actually spend time doing activities outside! Also, I hate the pressure of packing books for a holiday. I always get so indecisive!
I saw cormorants for the first time in Florida two summers ago and I couldn’t believe that a bird could both fly and swim!!! When I got home after my summer in Florida I told everyone about these beautiful birds but never found out their names! I even went to Barnes and noble and perused book about birds but couldn’t find it😭 I think they are my favorite birds as well as the sula nebouxii (or blue footed booby) 🩵🩵
Love these vlogs, man. So calming and chill it’s like just chilling with the homie gush about loving life and having a good time. We need more conversations that are just about the good things, not all the venting sessions. I’m the therapist friend so I just crave good news and updates. Thanks for the positivity recharge 😌
Honestly you deserve all the happiness in the world. I also love nature and thrive being outside but lately it’s been so hot outside it feels like stepping into hell 😭 so I’m living vicariously through you. Also you have such good taste in clothes. That red coat and the bouldering pants are so cool… love functional clothing like that.
I adore cormorants too! I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and we have 5 types of cormorant: Pied Cormorant, Little Pied Cormorant, Little Black Cormorant, Great Cormorant, Black-faced Cormorant. My favourites are the Little Pied and the Black-faced (the second one is exclusive/endemic to Australia). You would love the animals here Emma! I lost it at your facial expressions over the "nearly headless nick" shirt. Nearly choked on my rice. Your disdain towards button up shirts that are too tight under the arms and fail what we call the "bicycle pose" test matches my own (the bicycle pose test being when you put arms out in front of you and the long sleeves go halfway up the forearm). I'm glad you're taking Lighthousekeeping to Newfoundland! Weathering With You is my favourite Makoto Shinkai film, but I haven't read the book. The way he does water and light in his films is so, so beautiful.
I lived in a nature filled area my whole life and since covid I have lived in an apartment. I long for the day i can afford to buy a house in the woods. We will get there, Emma💜
Beautiful nature clips! I'm so happy that you get to experience that. I've moved to a farm a couple of years ago and the gardens we have make it feel like I'm actually working in paradise every single day! There's no way back into the city for me.
My mom and I are obsessed with cormorants too! They're so amazing and I love when they sit with their wings spread to let them dry hahah. They're basically birdfish XD
I just finished Moby Dick and Herman Melville is instantly one of my favorite authors. You should read it after your whaling journey! I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did but it really did something to me.
So happy to see a new video out! 😃💕 The whole slice-of-life video is sooo sweet, the golf montage and the rest are so cute and funny 😂 Love to see you looking so happy and excited 😄🌸
in newfoundland i highly recommend visiting salmonier nature park if you haven’t heard of it already! it’s a nice long walking trail where some animals like moose and owls live! it’s super cool, and it seems like it might be right up your alley!
Emma have you read Braiding Sweetgrass? It's actually one of my favorite books of all time, maybe you'd like it if you like plants and birds and such. Never really connected with Mary Oliver and stuff like that, but Braiding Sweetgrass I love
I think your hometown is one of the most bueatiful sights I've ever seen I these videos I live in virginia and all there is is forests and grass and trees and buildings all around us it is also bueatiful but we are glad that you are home ms.emme
I haven’t swam in Lake Ontario for 20 years! 😂 We always joked that if you do, you come out with gills, since Burlington (where I live) is right across from Stelco. 😅😅 My cat had to have the expensive Hypoallergenic cat food, since he had an allergy to most proteins, so I understand the pain of that expense. 😂 I went to Newfoundland for a cousins wedding back in 2013 and it was sooo mild and lovely~ I hope you enjoy it there. 😎👍🏻
Love your vlogs, always bring joy to my day. Man, you look so happy and amazing. Something is different, maybe a change? It's nice to see you so happy 😊 Sometime in my life I want to see Puffins! We have Quail here. Idk if you have them there, but man, you'd LOVE those birds. They are my favorite! Their little quail babies follow them around and make the cutest little squeaky noise. The best!
Nearly Headless Nick! I laughed so hard I almost choked! The jeans jacket was so cute! I haven't even finished the video yet but had to comment immediately 😊 Love the NATURE ❤ Enjoy your trip 😊❤
do you have a link to the shop where you got the adorable polar bear sweater? I would love to get something that is also donating proceeds to conservation efforts!!!
Every time i watch your vlogs, i cried. Knowing you live a privileged life that most people dream about. Free country, free speech, beautiful nature. I keep on watching because i long for the idea of friendship and life i would never experience till the day i die. We are the same age but i will rot alone here because of oppression. Keep living your beautiful life
Omg you uploaded just when I was uploading my first video it's certainly an amateur one no doubt but im so happy to finally be uploading my first video
You should always be in the mood for Persuasion. My favorite Austen ❤. Wizard's Guide to Defense Baking was cute. It kind of lost steam in the third act; I wish it remained a smaller story, but it was quite charming.
You have reminded me that I haven't started walking (for fun) again this year, which is sad because it means I mostly only ever walk to and from downtown so maybe today I will take Lord of the Rings outside 🙂
Last summer you did a rec video for summer reads. If you are into that whole dystopian sci-fi stuff again, you should check out The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury :) Just read it to kick off my Texas summer and really enjoyed it
Very random but I have the same pair of yellow, black and white fuzzy socks - had to back up the video to that part to play it over and was like "I recognize that!" haha
I've been living and studying abroad for five months now but next month I'm finally going back home, italy's countryside is at it's most beautiful during the warmer seasons and I've truly been feeling nature's fingertips brushing my heart lately, i can't wait
those cozy slice of life vlogs are my favorites!! (that‘s why I started doing them myself … :D)
This brother and sister duo going golfing is the content I didn't know I needed. And as always, I'm loving the Grendel content. ❤
I love how supportive your brother is
He's a cutie

Your walk in the luxuriant grass reminds me of a paragraph from Norwegian Wood! Nature is surreal
Been missing nature so so much and seeing these beautiful clips was sooo healing ❤ Can't wait to leave the city lol
Brother-sister golfing at its bestest!! 😂❤ p.s.(This feels like such a period of change, and I love that.)
Nature is just so incredible. It feels like a minute ago we were buried in snow. ❤
It just makes me happy to see you happy, Emma; you just light up your corner of the world. I especially loved the golfing with Ben. I can't wait to see what you and your Mom got up to on your trip.

Dress tip: for the ones that are too snug up top, can't zip up, etc - add loops (easy to hand stitch ) and ties at the back or on both sides

I love seeing baby animals in the springtime too
I think you are secretly a Spring girlie. The winter thing is just positive thinking. I'm on to you. Lol
Gotta love the spring/summer nature aesthetic. I decluttered my closet twice this year lol. Think im satisfied with my result.📚🧋🧚🍄🌈🌷

You suit dark colours!! That plum vest and navy jumper really work well for you!

Girl you need to move to the west end of the city - so much more nature!
You look so happy, Emma! 💛
So happy to see a new video out! 😃💕 The whole slice-of-life video is sooo sweet, the golf montage and the rest are so cute and funny 😂 Love to see you looking so happy and excited 😄🌸

Emma have you read Braiding Sweetgrass? It's actually one of my favorite books of all time, maybe you'd like it if you like plants and birds and such. Never really connected with Mary Oliver and stuff like that, but Braiding Sweetgrass I love
I recommend going to Middle Cove out by St Johns, beautiful rocks and cliffs!
your little feet on the grass and then the camera revealing you're at your parents's house made me so emotional for some reason 😭❤

The polar bear sweater is so cute!
Use spray starch and hang your dress on the door of the bathroom when you have a hot shower to steam the wrinkles out.
That red coat is STUNNING 😍
I hope you have a lovely time in New Finland
Persuasion is my favorite Jane Austen, just read it!
