I had a 780 Polaris a few years ago that had 130hp
So this kind of power in a snowmobile has been around for years.
Some folks this banshee are the only bad ass 2 strokes but when you go from dirty to snow game changer an I meant big game changer a Ski-do an Polaris both make some killer sleds I love my renegade X-rs 900 ace 😎😎😎 it’s a four stroke but this lil baby get down in the snow an its some of the best riding you can do in snow in my opinion I want a turbo or twin turbo 1200-1300cc sled

If you're anywhere near the dunes, this would make an awesome dune quad. I can't imagine this ever being a good general off road quad, in part due to the suspension but mainly due to the massive pipes going to each side that will not be kind to you if you take a turn too quick or crash. Also, you can step on the brakes and let the CVT clutch slip and launch it really hard, did it all the time on my KFX700. Awesome machine!
You should get the newest GoPro, it tells you your mph, 0-60 mph all on screen
Maybe it will before it gets hot and shuts off to never come on again..
She's a ripper for sure bud but in order for you to ever need that wheelie bar you're going to have to stage it and then preload the clutch by holding the brakes on hard as you can and then slowly rev it till you feel the clutch grabbing and then ya nail it and release brake at same time... Yes I've raced snowmobiles lol and if this baby doesn't have a Comet Racing clutch on it then you should try and find you one or just have that clutch rebuilt and I bet ya with a fresh clutch and a pre-stage that baby will sit up on the wheelie bar for sure!

just saying if you "brake boost" it will slip the belt in turn cooking the thing you have to put a stiffer spring in the primary clutch you should know this if you raced lol all that has to be done is raise the engagement so it's in its power more
@@Yz4Life I definitely did mention him finding a comet clutch did I not??? So yes you do want stiffer springs and a better clutch but you do also want to launch with it already engaged I didn't say to slip the damn thing lol maybe go read my comment again
If you shorten the swing arm and put the rear shock back on it's going to be a seriously dangerous machine. Watch out joe and be careful

Don’t think the short swing arm and shock will handle the torque if it hooks up good.

She’s definitely quick off the line ,I kind of thought there’d be a higher mile an hour , but that’s just in the gearing! My mostly stock can am renegade 850 topped out at 81 miles an hour but it will not get to that speed as quickly as yours does😵💫 But I can’t wait to see what you do to this thing it has a ton of potential🤩 Great video as always though and keep up the great work👍🏼🤩

I'm guessing that quad was dirt drag . That would make sense with that big sprock6and v-tread tires it had on it.
i would throw some slicks on it and sell it as drag quad... this thing is not savable to be offroad... its a dragster now

I like this machine I can't wait to see what you decide to do to it. I would put a different sprocket on just to do different test with it. Put a newer clutch in it. Take to the drag strip and maybe sand racing. Keep up the good work man

Regarding the exhaust "silencers" maybe weld some little hoops and install some springs, hopefully that should keep them from escaping, also see if you can pack them out with some wadding to try and quiet them down a tad.

just drill a small hole threw that silencer and threw the pipe and bolt it on. Note i would use a thin bolt as not to restrict flow on that exhaust.
Joe try manual swap it seen someone online done the cvt transmission to a manual would make some great watching

Hate to tell you but thats no where near 110 hp and honestly a stock banshee will run just as fast nearly, the extra weight on that thing makes it handle like 💩. I had a worked up special edition 2006 banshee with cool dome heads, porting, polished, vforce reeds, air pods, and so on... Guarenteed my banshee would have smoke this thing
Possibly but this banshee only cost $1800. What did the fully built banshee cost? Probably 6k+

@@2vintage the build shee would destroy this heap and the built shee can be ridden anywhere. This heap looks like trash and built @ss backwards the way the pipes and left foot are set up and is only good in a straight line. Built shee is better and you scan do a 4mm build yourself for less than 3k all day no prob

I'm about to pick up a blaster 200 in a few days I'm very interested in building it up. I don't think it will be as fast as my suzuki lt250r but we will see

you should try cutting the exhaust pipes shorter/closer to the engine and mount the mufflers. you could make them angled down and would be much less dangerous if it were to be wrecked.
It’s a 2 stroke and those are expansion pipes. They’re tuned for that exact shape, kinda need a different pipe instead.
Make sure when you put it on the marketplace that it shows up in michigan searches too cuz that thing was meant to run silver lake drags n someone over here will grab it in a second

What about the tires and the bearings. Are they hi speed bearings. Carefully going that fast on wheel bearings made for much lower speeds cool 4 wheeler

A set of extended header section pipes would be cool. That way you could run it under or over the drive case and expansion from there back.

Voltmeter was set to AC not dc. And normally best to put the ground probe to the chassis or battery. Then use the positive probe to check boltages. Use continuity testing for switches and relays and non coloured wires etc
I tried both ac and dc
Most stators out out AC...the regulator/rectifier switches it to DC

i just found gas nozzles that you can 3d print that don't have the new safety button ,no leaks so far , not as strong as original but not weak
I'd like to see you get some safety gear for riding and bring it to the drags and hold it tight and see if ya can get the 100 plus mark out of it but great lil vid godbless and stay safe

You should try some Klotz super techniplate or benol for the banshee, great oil for high revs
Terrible oil actually, so bad in fact it literally tells you on the directions to use a good 2 cycle oil with it or the engine will rust during storage. Clearly the oil is shit and I know this because I've used it, never again
@@chickenknucklez2604 ran it in my banshee for years. Works great, top ends always looked good on disassembly, I don’t understand why a two stroke oil would tell you to run another two stroke oil, never seen that on any bottle I’ve ever run in 15 years… but I’ll definitely look now
Funny u say disassembly because this is definitely something I have done with it on 3 different engines with no variation. My findings were hard brown caked on shit covering the piston, not only covering the piston but made the rings stuck on 2 engines and well on the 3rd not so lucky.... Busted the ring. So you can tell me whatever you want but I proven that oil is straight garbage, u wanna run good oil sometime then run Amsoil there's nothing better and the engine stays spotless.
@@chickenknucklez2604 sounds like a carb issue, or too much pre mix, like I said 15 years running banshees 3 of them I still own in the dunes at glamis always ran Klotz super techniplate or benol with race fuel and my cyls looked good and pistons crowns were always clean, try a different premix amount. Also could be cheap fuel. But with race fuel (c16) and good compression it’s great oil
@@ni_wink84 all 3 we're good stock engines, it if you're happy with the oil so be it. I used an entire gallon for bar and chain oil
