Hey everyone. I hope you’re ok. Just a little update: Not sure what’s going on with Money Rocks, some of you seem to find them in different rocks for separate profiles. Mine may be a coincidence, but I will keep testing. So far, it’s always the same. But maybe it’s something to do with save/quitting so quickly to test.
Also, regarding Star Fragments, according to guides as well as what I found when testing, you can only get more than 20 Fragments if your visitors also wish upon stars, otherwise it’s capped at 20 per profile, per shower. I hope this helps. Please keep sharing your experiences. This is how we find new stuff out 🥰

I’ve gotten 36 star fragments on a meteor shower on my island, but yes I wasn’t alone! I had quite a few players come to my island to experience it with me, which must have made me get more than 20 star fragments as you stated above. ✨🌙
FYI 2 furniture items can be found in trees on your home island every day, not just 1
For me, it is usually the same rock if I save and end and switch profiles before going back into the game. But the rocks are different if I call a resident and hit the rocks that way.
Mayor Mori As someone with three different villagers, the money rocks aren’t always the same with all three of them, but in case the money rock is not the same, an other villager can harvest materials out of spent money rock after the other one collects their money. In my case, I can potentially have three extra rocks for materials everyday.
If you stand by your fountain when the hour strikes it does a little water show.

I was renovating near my "rest area" that I built in front of my town plaza the other day which has a fountain and I saw this. My 8 year old daughter was watching and she was completely amazed and now asks me to go to the fountain every time its about to hit the top of the hour so she can see it.
I have a tip! When running with a shovel that is near breaking, you can hear it rattling as if it's falling apart! :)

This isn’t really a secret detail or anything but you can move your t-rex skull in front of a fruit tree and if you line it up correctly, it will look like the t-rex is eating the fruit.

When u enter the fossils section of the museum there’s a timeline of all the species and if u stand in the very last spot it lights up as your human and complete the timeline
and if you stand in the blue circles in the main fossil part it zooms out so you can see all of them

A tip relating to tool durability: there are certain times when tools will never break. For example, between your first hit to a "fresh" rock and the last moment that it can still drop an item the shovel used to hit it will never break. Also, during the fish tournament if you finish reeling the fish in before the time is up the rod will never break.
One way to use this is to keep a shovel, any kind (even a flimsy one), placed besides your rocks; when you go hit them for the day, just pick and hold that shovel and, as long as you never miss a hit (i.e., you get all 8 drops consistently), it will basically last forever. My current flimsy shovel was used to hit over 40 rocks without breaking down and is still there. This allows your "regular" shovel to last a lot more, since you aren't hitting rocks with it.

I never use a shovel tip hit rocks because if you miss it digs up dirt. Only ever an axe
chalawhina if you dig two hole in the ground on one of the corners around the rock, it will push you into the corner and you’ll stay put when hitting the rocks

If you invite others to your island during a meteor shower, if they wish 100 times all together, you can get 20 additional stars. They wash up throughout the day.

IMPORTANT TIP: On your island, 5 wasps are located in non fruit bearing trees along with 2 furniture. There can also be multiple sets of 100 bells in some trees. On mystery islands however there is no money and only 1 wasp and 1 furniture.
Edit: I recently found out that you can help Gulliver multiple times if you have other players. That means on your first account you can help him but on your second account you can get the parts but not help him, so tomorrow you’ll have 6 rusted parts! (5 from player 2 and 1 from the recycling bin) this is good because once you help him 30 times you can make a golden shovel, so you learn how to make it on your first account while also getting rusted parts.
Sometimes... if you get to a mystery island that only has fruit trees then it won't have any furniture or wasps

I don't know how many had the opportunity to celebrate their birthday in the island, but mine was last Saturday and kk slider only sings K.K. Birthday and instead of showing the final credits, it shows 4 cute messages from Islanders and in the end the message happy birthday. It's the cutest thing ever!!!

Fun and useful tip! If you talk to Sable everyday for a week straight she’ll give you fabric designs you can use for customizing majority of your crafted items! She’s shy and won’t talk much at first but if you’re patient she’ll give you 1 panel with 20 fabric designs everyday until you get 10 panels and 200 designs in total! The 10 panels(types) of designs are polka dot print, striped, checkered 1, checkered 2, traditional 1, traditional 2, retro, natural, toys and cool. So definitely check it out!

Cara it won’t appear on your design ID! It will only show up when you customize an item like a bed or stall for example and have its own separate slot called “pattern” next to “design ID”

Snapping Turtles, when placed they don't have a cage. You can then interact with them and they give a little growl. I have several pet snapping turtles in my dog run outside my house 😆

Small correction: while you can only max 20 stars on your morning star collection, if you come back around midday or evening you can sometimes have another set wash up on shore depending on how many you initially wished on.

- You can get both flys and ants from rotten turnips, not just ants.
- You dont get just 1 furniture from the trees on your island. You can get 2. Also, there are 5 wasps, and... 15 bell coins if I remember correctly.
- From the money rock, if you get all 8 things out of the rock, you get 16.1k
anyone know why some rocks only ever give 7 things? can I fix it?
@@cuddlepuddle7183 Got to hit the rock faster. Make sure your character never moves once they start hitting. Easy way is to stand at a diagonal and dig holes behind you.

best tip i found out completely by accident: press "L" to speed through any type of dialogue.
You could just hit the cancel button (either A or B I can't remember it's just reflexive for me) and it automatically speeds the entire next dialogue box that would pop up.

everyone who’s saying they encounter wasps while chopping wood and that’s why they get stung: i always shake every single one of my trees as one of the first tasks i do so i can get all the bells and furniture and catch/get rid of the wasps. that way if i have to shake trees for more tree branches or chop them for wood i don’t have to worry about the wasps! and when youre shaking the trees, stand in front of the tree while holding a net and THEN shake the tree and if a wasp nest falls out just spam A until you catch it
emma rae I tell my siblings this all the time!! Always have your net in hand when shaking down trees! 🌲
I just hit every tree with an axe either top right or left corner and have my net right next to it in the inventory so when a nest falls down I just switch to the net and since equipping a tool turns you forward I just have to press A after switching and always catch the wasps 👀

Br careful when spamming (A) though. Once I accidentally shook the tree instead of catching the wasps.
if you run up the screen, stop and select net, it auto faces you towards the wasps, swing the net and catch them most times.
Crafting Tip: if you rapid-press the A-button while crafting, you’ll finish your item twice as fast.
You just have to double tap it, you don’t have to do it until it’s done :)

I’ve never had a meteor shower on my island either. I’ve seen some shooting stars but no announced meteor shower. My daughter has had 2.
Debbie MacKenzie if she has a meteor shower, it should also be there on your account. When one person on our island gets a meteor shower, we all do.
There will be some shooting stars on any cloudless night. I stared at the sky for 30mins last night before seeing a meteor, and they always come in groups of 4-7. So if you see or here one (twinkling sound), put down your tools, look up at the sky, and wait for the next one. They can come really quickly, but they often take 10 seconds or more between stars. Press A to make a wish.
I literally play all night cause i work majority of the day and not once even on clearless nights have i had a single star

Oh, I got one:
Always shake trees with your net and right in front of the tree, if a wasps nest falls out, your character will automatically turn towards it and all you have to do is press a and then you will catch one, you can sell it for 1,200 I’m pretty sure. I don’t know if everybody knows this or not.
Another tip: You will know if a villager is home if there curtains are open, if the curtains are closed then they are not home.
Last tip: If you catch a villager crafting inside their house, they have to give you a DIY card.
I heard that wasp catching tip a couple of weeks ago and it's a really great method! (I've only got stung once with that tip, while it was rare for me to be able to catch them before)
It's actually 2,500 bells per wasp but it still is a lot :)
Even better, you can store wasps/bugs and fish in your storage at home. Wasps are 2,500 each, but if you catch them and keep storing till Flick visits, he will buy with an extra 20% added. Its a great way to make money. I had 4x inventory worth of wasps and easily made over 100,000 bells. You can do the same with your more expensive fish (football fish, koi, sturgeon, oar fish) CJ adds 20% on too.
If you're having trouble catching wasps, have your net equipped while shaking trees. When wasps drop it always leaves you facing the wasps, and then you can just hit A and catch them.

I do it differently. I have my net unequipped. Then when the wasp nest falls, I quick-equip it with the D-pad and then press A. The wasps fly right into your swinging net.

Hey people might know this but, if you don't have an umbrella when its raining, a villager might give you an umbrella. I only just figured this out, so just wanted to share this info! Sorry if you already knew this!
Edit: I just learned from Molly that if they like your outfit, they can give you a headpiece to go with it!

Actually, they’ll give you ANY piece of clothing that goes with your outfit!
It’s the same with the medicine diy if you get stung by wasps though sometimes they just give you medicine itself
Also theres a very low chance that villagers can send you pieces of genuine art in the mail. I got a painting from Stitches in the mail and it was, in fact, genuine and donated to the museum. I haven't gotten another one since, but it's still a cool fact.
For that last one, the vid shows you backing out of the achievement menu into the overall and pressing down, but once you’ve claimed it, you can just press right on the joy stick to go to the next one, you don’t have to back out!

I’ll mention a little “attention to detail” note on AC:NH. If you have a gong and hit it with a shovel/axe, it will make a light gong sound. They didn’t have to do that, but they did and I think it’s a cool detail. Lol
You can also walk up to it with no tools and hit A

I’ve never had a meteor shower and I’ve played every day since March 31st 😭
Listen for a light chime sound, put your tool away and wait a bit.
sometimes they show up randomly. its not a lot but when you have clear skies look up every now and then. good luck!
also make sure you pay attention to isabella's announcements (if you have her unlocked) she will notify the player if there's going to be a meteor shower that night
Good tip: Always be alert when you see celeste in your island it always some shooting stars during the night not meteor showers but random Shooting stars and they always comes in a group of 5 stars. So when you hear the shooting stars sound look up and if you miss keep looking remember it always 5 shooting stars every round.
@@Drzestrella19 It's not always 5 at a time, and they don't always come when Celeste is there. It's random. It's likely for you to have Celeste on the same night because they both happen on clear nights, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will happen on the exact same night. As for the stars coming in groups, they usually come in groups of 2-5, but I've also had singles. Again, it's random.
While customizing tools makes it so the tools can “last forever”, it really isn’t the best option for some tools my opinion. Each kit costs 600 bells. If you analyze the bells you get from selling the materials to make each of the customizable tools (stones = 75, clay = 100, iron = 375, all wood = 60, tree branches = 5), only the Shovel and watering can are worth using customization kits on as their materials sell for 675 bells. Whereas the fishing rod and net materials sell for 400 bells (their materials are really easy to get too) and the slingshot building materials are worth 300 bells.
One of the big benefits to using the customization kits though is convenience. You don’t have to gather materials to remake tools or keep as many different building materials in your inventory. So it really comes down to preference.
If you find a Lost Item, then be sure to check it out, every Item will have a unique description that will identify the personality type of the villager it belongs to which can really narrow it down if you want that bonus friendship score.
I hadn't noticed that, thanks for the tip! The first animal I ask will usually tell me who it belongs to, if it isn't theirs.
If you open it, the owner might tell your a nosy person, just asks who is it from
Is there a list somewhere with which villager types they belong to? I saw someone say that before and looked at it, but it still didn’t really help with figuring out who it was for.
@@cadjr2003 Not that I know of, I've been able to reason it out most of the time, but it would be handy if someone managed to compile that.
I did know this but took me sooo long to figure it out and it's really helpful to friendship mechanics! apparently if you talk to the person first and they tell you it's missing and then you pick it up, that's full points. pick it up and give it to the right person first try, that's partial points. ask someone who it belongs to, that's minimal points!

When searching for star fragments and you’ve wished on many the night before, I recommend going in and out of buildings after collecting all of the fragments when you first hop on! I’ve found more along the beaches when I come back out of my house and even when I’ve stopped the game and come back on a bit later. Hopefully this helps!
I had a rotten turnip sitting outside for several weeks and no ants showed up. Turns out it was because I had it tucked away in a corner so it didn't get in the way of anything. I had no idea I needed several tiles of space until I looked it up lol
Also it cannot be placed on a custom design tile, learned that the hard way!

The only slight nuance to the 'all mystery islands have a furniture item on them' is that rare/sister fruit island doesn't... as it only has fruit bearing trees on it, it can't give you a furniture item. Took me a little while to figure that one out!!
Bamboo island also, since there’s no hardwood trees.
Yeah fruit bearing trees only give up fruit, branches, and wood. (And obviously bamboo just gives you bamboo. )
You can also open your gates and you won’t have to worry about the wasps coming after you when shaking trees

It took me a while, and I was so surprised when I learned this; but you can pickup/move/place furniture and items INSIDE of your house when visitors are over! Your guests just have to be standing OUTSIDE of the house, and not be in there with you at the same time.
Tbh, I really, really wish that Nintendo would just go ahead and apply this to outdoor furniture as well. Not being able to decorate/move/place items when visitors are over is a serious pain!!

Gun Palmqvist you get 2 “wandering” characters per week out of Redd, Gulliver, CJ, Saharah, and Flicks. Whichever 2 you get this week, you won’t get next week. But since there’s 5, there’s a chance that you wouldn’t get a character for many weeks. I haven’t had Gulliver for 4 weeks (and being on an island with multiple people, we don’t each have a rusty part yet).
Celeste comes once a week on a clear night, Wisp can come multiple times a week, Sable and Kicks come once a week, and KK comes on Saturdays. You’ll never get more than 2 visitors per day.
Angie Dunn there’s also a maximum amount of villagers that visit per week and it’s semi random for which ones you’ll get. So you can go weeks without seeing a character.
The islands featuring only fruit trees will not have furniture items in their trees - money and fruit islands, for instance.

From what I’ve heard, you can bring a plain cedar or hardwood tree with you in your pocket, and then plant it on the island, and it should then spawn an item!
i read somewhere that each day you get 2 furniture items from trees, 5 wasps and a bunch of bells so if you have an specific amount of regular trees (trees without fruits) you can easily find them just by shaking them (that way you don't have to shake every single tree because you already know where they are)! i have 17 regular trees and every day i get the two furniture items and 5 wasps + and the rest are all bells, 10/10 would recommend

Don't be sour. And if you don't have a net at the moment then you can't. And if you're chopping wood from the trees and wasps come after you it's more helpful to use a party popper. The creator of this video was just trying to help you don't need to be rude about it

I dont know if this is common knowledge at this point but when you’re hitting your rocks your shovel will take damage when you hit it but it will never break unless you hit a rock and nothing comes out
When you first hit a rock it starts a 10 sec timer where you shovel is indestructible. So says the companion guide.

Dig two holes behind you before hitting rocks. Keeps you from bouncing too far back

I always dig diaganol holes like you did in the end so if you float off you get pushed in the corner rather than miss the rock :)

Check for Celeste after 7 PM, she's supposed to appear at least once a week. While she's on your island, *some* meteors are guaranteed at some point before 4 AM... but waiting for them can be a real pain. Alternately, you can wait for Isabelle to announce a meteor shower, I've heard those are more continuous meteor showers, but I've been playing since Easter and never gotten one from Isabelle announcing it so I can't confirm that.

I happened to know about the fossils! You can see which ones you have that can move by watching their rotation animation in the Nook Shopping app in the Fossils category. T. Rex, Triceratops, Spinosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus are the ones that move, off the top of my head (Pachy moves its head up and down from headbutting position). I think that's all of them, but I feel like there's one I'm forgetting.

can you explain why I literally collected about 50 star fragments with only my character? I refreshed a bunch of time and more and more kept spawning on the beach. Just like shells
There’s definitely a cap on how many you can get but I think it’s more than 20 like the video said. One time my friend had a meteor shower on his island and I wished on 200+ stars in one night and the next morning I wanna say I found around 30ish fragments, and they kept respawning on my beach for a bit like you said
Did you have visitors? You can have 20 per visitor up to a cap of 100
I was just going to same the same thing! I’ve definitely had more. It seems to correlate with when other people come over to visit. I’m sure I’ve collected over 30 in one morning, as you say, they keep respawning throughout the day.
were your friends here wishing upon the stars with you? You get bonus from them as well
If you wish on your own island the cap is 40 and if you wish on someone else's the cap is 20

I wouldn’t recommend it tbh. You’re wasting a lot of bells. It’s a lot easier/less time consuming to simply shake the front of your tree while holding your net and spamming the A button if bees appear. It worked in New Leaf, and it works in this game, too

I learned the other day that cardboard boxes can be stacked on each other, and you can put items on the zen cushion.
Learned from the comments that I can see a friend's special items catalogue on the Nook Shopping app; pretty cool!
From another video (the creator of which found out by accident), I learned that once you water a black rose with the golden watering can, it retains whatever little set of coding/info from using the can until it produced a golden rose (only at that point does it need to be watered again with the golden can).
Here is something I learned recently.
Normal tools you can only customize the colors of the handle & only make very few changes to them. But if you buy the colorful/patterned/outdoorsy tools from the shop, you can customize them & change their colors/patterns as well.

I knew some of these but this was still useful.
One museum detail I noticed is that in the fossil room with the animal silhouettes at the top, each line below the silhouettes seems to lead to a fossil of that species of animal. And if you stand in the empty spot at the end, it leads to the spot for the australopith fossil, which fits the pattern since australopiths are thought to be prehistoric humans! (The famous fossil "Lucy" is an australopith, for example).
Also sometimes other villagers will water the flowers on your island. I saw my cow villager Norma doing it.
Though the theory of evolution has been disproven decades ago, I really like the fossil area! The New Horizons museum is great!

I found this out just recently and I still can't believe it- amongst the free items you get from trees, one of the things you can get are Model Fish. Like today I got a Mounted Marlin! It's like skipping the first 2 steps and going directly to the result lol. Now I don't know if this only works with fish you've caught before or not, but it's a thing.
I usually watch your content, but the only thing I found out by myself was when gyroid Fragments started showing on our beaches. Thanks for the content most I did not know.
There are actually TWO furniture items per day on your island. Excluding fruit, money, and bamboo trees, shake all trees.

@@bombardment92 lmao I FEEL you. My island's name is Endor so I only felt it was appropriate to make it as forest-y as possible so you really can't run more than a few steps without seeing a tree. At the VERY least, there are only ever five wasps on your island per day, so if you get five before you get your two furnitures, you don't have to worry about getting stung after that! Good luck!

I knew about all of these except the first, and I was playing the game while it was being explained, only a few feet away from a t-rex model I had put outside the Museum. It's been there for months and pressing A over it while it was being explained and seeing it move was kinda surreal
I’ve found that my island has two items hidden in my trees everyday and a total of 5 wasps
It’s too bad that only the first person to shake the trees gets an item/wasps. We first assumed that the same was true for money rocks and everyone would take turns hitting rocks each day, but we figured out that each person gets a chance for rocks and bottles. I wish the same was true for shaking trees. Right now it’s whoever grabs the switch first.
I wish I would have known there was a cap on the stars before I wished on 100 T^T at least I got nook miles for it..

The meteor shower trick using multiple profiles only seems to work if the shower is on your island. If you wished on someone else's island, only the profile that went to the other island gets fragments. But if the shower is on your island, I don't think you even need to wish with every profile to get fragments (ie I wish on my main account, but not my alt, yet I got some fragments when logging in as my alt)
