I studied Kenpo for years and the difference in open hand fighting styles is that Jujitsu uses the opponents body against themselves. The momentum and speed is unexpected. You think of punches as most effective means. But pulling down on ones collar happens in seconds. And the resulting forward face first fall is devastating. Not only will you have road rash but if done right your feet will come over your head and the same moment your nose makes contact with the ground. Your own body weight does the damage. Tapping out is the least amount of damage. That's just pressure point manipulation.
