Honest Try: Jack's "Lazy Man Porkchops"

  • BUT FIRST we remove some paint from the top of the stove. I actually didn't anticipate how much work that would be, so I'll do the rest later, haha.
The music used in the stove section is an instrumental track from the upcoming album for my synthwave project "Citizen."
Also, I don't really think that doing it this way would save any kind of time for porkchops and rice. I guess maybe you'd have one less pan to wash.

The thing I love about so many of Jack's Lazy man recipes is that it actually makes things *more* complicated and less tasty than a legitimate lazy way of making the food. As you said If you had just thrown some salt, pepper, garlic and onion and fried the pork chops up, it would not be anything amazing but it would be better tasting and lazier than adding the ricearoni.
I love his lazy mans omelette video in particular because he takes one of the legitimately easiest foods to make (you throw stuff in eggs, maybe add a dash of milk or cream, toss it in a pan, let it cook and then flip it) into this super complicated and potentially dangerous affair where he is filling ziplock bags with it, labelling each bag with a sharpie, boiling them in the bags, "burping" the bags of steam, and then individually cutting all these awful omelettes out.
Also I just remembered, i'm surprised you didnt mention how in this particular video Jack calls the food network to try and pitch his show, the lady on the line gives him a pre recorded message basically saying "we don't accept show ideas unless you are an actual network", Jack goes "Wow guys look theres hope im gonna get on the food network!" then proceeds to boil an unseasoned porkchop in a box of Rice A Roni. It really shows the essence of Jack's character thinking he is this master chef when in reality he has lower than average cooking skills.

Loving the videos mate! Gotta be honest, if you do end up making some more of Jacks dishes, be careful of: Aunt Murna's Party Cheese Salad (The mix of pineapple and milk products creates it curdle and rot , so it might not be safe for consumption if it gets 'fluffy' when it sets) and his 'Monster Wings in Mushroom Gravy' (Which was stolen and uncredited on his youtube channel so if you make it, it might be good to properly link the OG creator... That and he butchered it)

Those wings look nasty, haha! I have them on my list. Aunt Myrna's cheese salad was actually the very first video in this series that I did! It should be on my channel if you go to it!

Also dont let people bog yah down about your stove or table. Those a superficial things and your personality makes these videos 💯💯💯

Masao and Cobes cooking would also be worth a try. However blended hot dogs and peaches and Doritos burgers might be too grim compared to Jack and Kay's cooking

Masao is on the list, but I want to make sure I have enough in my HSA first. ;)

"Looks like it MIGHT be cooked all the way through. Only one way to find out..." The correct answer here is an instant read thermometer. Great video. I think I will try this myself, with a few tweaks of course. ;)

Using a meat thermometer isn't an honest try since Jack doesn't use one.

You remind me of one youtuber that used to do these recipes in his mother's pizza place, he's gone now though and I miss this type of content, I'd love to see your take on some of DSP's and Amberlynn Reid's recipes!

I remember Should I Series. Last recipe he ever did was either Jack’s Lazy Man Enchiladas or KingCobra’s Circle Stew.

I love how low budget this channel looks , it's just some regular dude trying food and posting it , this simple production stuff is so rare this days . I hope you don't change the format , or ''make it a full time thing'' ( and become another internet creature )

I don't think I could ever really go full time with it. Even if I was hugely popular, YT channel life is about 2 years I think. But even then, I have way too many hobbies.
I may monetize someday though to get some extra cash in these trying times.

I got an idea! Take the ingredients from a cooking with jack recipe and make something edible with them. Only catch is you have to use all the ingredients
