We appreciate your sacrifice. Ordinary Sausage sometimes does stuff like this, but he's usually just boiling meat in various unconventional sauces/liquids.
Here’s the conclusion I have drawn: if I ever throw a swamp themed party, then this is how I should boil the eggs because it is more aesthetic than anything.

Just as a practical manner, I feel like if the objective is to have Jalapeno-Mountain Dew flavored eggs it would be better to hard-boil them the normal way, peel them, then let them marinate overnight in a mason jar with a Mountain-Dew Jalapeno brine.
Not saying it would be good or anything, but I feel like this would achieve the original objective better

usually when you do marinated egg recipes, the technique is to chill the boiled eggs in the broth over night for the flavour to sink in. There are many recipes for this ( for example you can do it with soy sauce and chilli,it’s quite good.) I have a feeling that this recipe requires the same technique. However, the ingredients are definitely terrifying.
What a beautiful cat. He's a good boy and was trying to save you from a mistake. Ozzy had concerns. The music really makes this sound like a horror movie. I was full of dread. I kept expecting a demon to crawl out of the eggs or something. It's so unnatural to see cooking water that color.

There was another cooking channel- I believe it's Mumkey Jones's new channel where he and a friend tried this but used incredibly hot sauce and added it before the initial boil- which did pretty much exactly what you're saying and they nearly had to vacate the premises!
I think a secondary experiment would be to poach eggs in the same concoction, but with less water and more Mountain Dew. Why? For science.

With his pan being fuller with eggs he will have had a stronger mountain dew solution because it would have taken less water to cover the eggs at the start. His eggs were more cracked too making it easier for the solution to penetrate. Don't take this as a downer though, I'm really enjoying your channel and looking forward to seeing what you're gonna try next 👍

Cobes is notorious for just leaving something out overnight and recording himself eating it the next day, so that probably explains the, umm, the stuff on his final result.
Also, I like to hard boil eggs in soy sauce. What I normally do is boil them, then peel them, then boil them peeled in the soy sauce. It creates a greater infusion of flavor. Perhaps you should try that with the Mountain Dew.

You're a brave soul and I love your content. It takes about 4 weeks to pickle an egg to a satisfactory "pickle." I'm not surprised they don't taste very different than a normal boiled egg.

I would remove the shell after boiling, and then let them simmer in the sauce for like hours, also add a bunch of salt

it looks like when he's "pushing the eggs with a fork" he's actually cracking the shell and left it to simmer so the mt dew absorbs into the egg. that's probably why your eggs tasted like regular hard boiled eggs lol. still brave nonetheless!
I did get them cracked open before the medium simmer, but yeah- he had his cracked open more I think.

When I was living in Casper Wyoming, I met KingCobra outside a grocery store, smoking. He was buying some beer and liquor. He spends a lot of his time drunk, poor bloke. i think the problem is that you used too much water. since you only used two eggs and used enough water to cover them, you used way more water than he did because his pot was crowded with eggs. so he used more mountain dew and a lot less water.

"Normal egg" is perhaps the worst result, given that you have to waste soda and hot sauce making it
You can boil an egg in anything and it will still just taste like an egg. The shell is only semipermeable.

his eggs sticking up in the water could have been due to the freshness of the eggs as well. if you've heard the thing about good eggs sink bad eggs float, i'm pretty sure it's mostly true, but fresher eggs have less air in them so they don't float, less fresh ones will stick up, bad ones will float. just a theory as to why his stuck up and yours didn't.
Yeah, in my experience that holds true. That thought did come to me later. It makes sense when you see the state of the bananas in his fridge. Maybe all his eggs were going bad, so he decided to mutate them all this way.
@@HonestTries i'm curious about the texture of the eggs after boiling for that long. overboiled hard boiled eggs have had an almost chalky yolk in my experience. honestly i can think of worse uses for eggs about to go bad than boiling them in something weird and seeing what happens.
