- Doing something a little different today. Instead of a strange or seemingly gross recipe, I decided to try my hand at an easy ramen recipe I came across while making a meal plan for the week.
I hope you enjoy! :)
Music used is from Bushido Blade 2.
Still looking forward to when you make a brisket, let it sit in the freezer for over a year, and then feed it to your church.
Don't forget being bitter about not winning the cook-off.
@@CorpusCacus To be fair, we still don't know which ONE is his. Which **ONE** is his.
Then blame the staff & voters on why you think you’ll lose
also make sure it's green in the inside . It needs to be half rotten piece of meat , perfectly preserved is a no go
@@saddemgargouri To achieve this level of green, you have to leave it in your freezer for about a year. #notcookingadvice
I think you making this channel with your daughter is so wholesome. Much fun cooking and all the best to you two!
Shoyu isn't a problem whatsoever. Really hard to f it up. If you want something really special, go for tonkotsu ramen. Incredible stuff, but takes quite a bit more effort to pull off. Not hard in particular, just very time intensive. Can recommend the channel "Way of Ramen" for very good explanations and being mostly in the original style
I've made ramen many times and really I can't say there is anything you did that was outright wrong. Ramen itself doesn't have any rules, just some key components, 5 to me exact. You've got your tare which is the soy sauce base you made. The aromu oil which in your case was the sesame oil you used. The broth, a fat, noodles and toppings.
I'd suggest trying chicken ramen again, but really focus on your broth. I'm talking chicken feet, backs and thighs, get it really hearty. You can take a few thighs our early and use those for your protein. Beyond that the noodles you used are perfectly fine. Hell, most must go ramen places in Japan use dried noodles. Oh, and I'd suggest actually marinating your eggs.
That looks really good!
Jack Scalfani had his third stroke at the end of January.
Have a great time in Argentina!
you can tell he can't move his left arm very well any more.
Not really something to make fun of, though.
This video was just randomly recommended to me and i thought it was seth rogen in the thumbnail
Extra points for using music from Bushido Blade. You've clearly got good taste in games!
This looks like the most edible thing you've made so far in this series.
Man, feels like just the other day you were trying party cheese salad. Now look at you, off to Argentina to work with the greatest chefs ever.
.
But seriously, good first attempt, the best way to usually cook beef in the ramen is to put the beef in first, then the hot broth. But I know you threw in the beef as an additional component, and it's fresh beef, so you're not gonna do yourself in. Hopefully, you don't catch the ire of Uncle Roger on this one since there was no MSG
You may have one of the best one handed cooking shows out there. Very cool..
hope you have a great time in argentina!
Sir this is youtube. Making normal and good food is strictly prohibited. I have called the cyberpolice. Consequences will never be the same.
Ahem
"Rapscallion"
Scallywag certainly does make me think of both priates and scallions but repscallion certainly is closer.
You should do your prep before filming, you know? Pre screw caps, measure ingredients, stuff like that.
Really well done dude. Next time just go a little lighter on the eggs. For future reference, you can get tamari at any grocery store in exchange for that “special Japanese” soy sauce and it’s the same idea. Probly better than the product you got for this application.
4:39 no way was that the right amount of soy sauce for how much broth you made. Maybe a table spoon and a half max.
nm, lol.... I made it farther in the video, I see you only used a little of that mixture. 🤷🏻♂
You did great. Ramen is hard to make. The broth should consist of aromatics and oil. You boiled the eggs too long. Soft boiled eggs are cooked, but the yolk is supposed to be runny. Kinda like a sunny side up egg. Other than that you did great
I love the earnestness of your stuff.
One thing you could try is cooling your meat before slicing. Throw the beef into the freezer for ~20 minutes and then cut
if you ever have leftover rotisserie chicken try making ramen with that, it's delicious
Pásalo bien en Argentina. Saludos desde Chile.
Did you just say that the chicken is from last YEAR...?
I love the music you always pick. Bushido Blade got me bro.
im really enjoying all these videos man, but you gotta get a tripod so you can use both hands lol. Keep up the good content dude
Looking good. Though I think the egg yolks are supposed to be still gooey (yours were closer to hard boiled) in which case you shouldn't add the eggs to the water until it is already boiling and then not take it off the heat until you think the eggs are done at which point you drop them into the ice water.
One handed cooking plus the stove that used to be yellow = great production
Dude I like your videos but you should take that pan out side and spray it with oven cleaner.
Dude the music choices always crack me up so freaking much.
How about Kay's pasta beans and cheese or her meat and Mayo special?
Leagues better than anything ever done in a Jamie Oliver kitchen.
The fucking background music lmao
Please slurp the noodles and youll enjoy it more! ^-^ Dont bite them! Also a little more broth and I think you would've gotten a better experience. Keep it up, dude.
Jack has a sequel to garbage stew called “no peek stew”
You could get something to put the camera on your head when you need it hands free
a cup of soy sauce?? jesus christ that's a lot, soy sauce is supposed to be super salty
get a phone tripod 😅 itd save you so much effort
The legend returns again.
Have fun in Argentina bruh
Well, what did your daughter think?
Hello Panda is literally all you needed. Forget the ramen
better hope uncle roger doesn't come after you 😂
My husband and I love your videos! We’re super interested to know the name of your family’s farm
Thanks, I'm glad you're here!
Ah, well it's not like a business or anything. My dad is retired, but still raises cows and sells them, but it's pretty small time. I think my mom likes calling it "red rock ranch" but it was never official or anything.
Looks delicious! Enjoy your stay in Argentina.
Epic asia music for the ramen
NO VIEWS CREW
8:50 rapscallion!
The galleon called the "Scallion" has the pellet with the poison in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.
why are you putting liquid in a mortar
@@PandaPelley Nono. Was there no muddler on hand for the vessel containing the brew?
Looks great! I kind of want to try this myself lol
If you're looking for a kind of cursed recipe to do next that isn't a Jack or Kay one, there's a VTuber named Millie Parfait who made a corned beef spaghetti. I stress "kind of" because it looks fine and appeared cooked fine and she claimed that it tasted alright, it's just the aspect of the protein for the bolognaise sauce being corned beef, spam, and hot dogs.
I keep wanting to make one-armed man jokes (from The Fugitive) but then you bust out your other arm when the phone's in your mouth so I can't.
Well played Sir.
Incredible
Great job!!
great work
"Hey they did the light up thing I do. Their stove is...nicer." 😂 I live for your stove woes
Something along the lines of a gopro cam would be great for you, I think. You could use it for a lot of the shots where you need both hands to do a task.
Love the Bushido Blade 2 music 😂
I’d instantly buy a new one or a remaster
i just found because of the duck and seeing him cook the stuff jack did but just 100 times better made me really love this channel but videos like this are also nice. And you make it look liek making is ramen easy so thats cool
What happened to the rest of the fishy soya mixture ya made? xD Can't imagine you'd need to use an entire bottle to get 2 spoons worth of liquid
mhhmmm such a nice cut of beef thinly sliced... my mouth is watering rn.
Great video, I enjoyed watching you try something you have never done. Tip for soft boiled eggs, stir the eggs as it cooks so the yolk stays in the center and don't over cook it so you get the gooey yolk
Wow, never expected to catch a video this quickly lol
Nicely done bro, practice makes perfect! :)
Ay! I love your videos, definitely want to see you grow bro!
frist!
I'm calling it right now. You're from Ohio and you went to jungle jims.
Cant be his videos often feature huvee products and I dont believe hyvee has made it's way to ohio yet
ruh roh raggy, ramen
THIRD
I'm sooooo stressed watching this ramen Video, it's like a night mare 😢 so simple to make yet so hard for him. At least he admits he has no idea of what he is doing. Small tip put all the ingredients in the bowl that isn't liquid first, noodles, then beef sliced thin then season, pour broth over beef and garnish with the green onion ect. At very end
Somebody get this man a tri pod 😂 love the videos man !
I absolutely adore your commentary!😂 And that one-handed skill you got is superb!👌🏼🤌🏻 Loving all these "honest tries"; this was a genius idea for a channel and definitely gives me that nostalgia of the old UA-cam days. You're doing great!
Love that you put the menu music from bushido blade in there lol.
