Game: Alien Isolation
····················································································
In this video you can experience the digital recreation of the USCSS Nostromo from the game Alien Isolation. The main story of Alien Isolation is about Amanda Ripley who is searching for her missing mother Ellen. It takes place 15 years after the first Alien movie and the disappearance of the Nostromo. In the main story you don’t really come in contact with the ship but the DLC “Expandable Crew” lets you play an iconic scene from the first movie which takes place on the Nostromo. This video showcases the interior of that ship including space ship ambience sounds. So try to relax on a ship that might have a Xenomorph on board :) In case you also want to get an impression of Alien Isolation: • Video

As suggested, I tried to relax and sleep to this...I ended up nuking my house from orbit....it's the only way to be sure.
Pure gold!
What are we gonna do now man?
Game over man... GAME OVER...
- Hudson
LOL :)
Brilliant 👍🏼
Aw, that's it, man! We're toast! We're history, man! Game over!
“I won’t lie to you about your chances of relaxation, but... you have my sympathies.”
Haha, best comment ever :)
roflol, you win the comment trophy for the day!
Everytime i see this video, i wonder what the creator was thinking 😲
Hah Hah !!!! You are a witty one !
Most underrated comment! XD
I'm not quite sure how pretending to be on the Nostromo could be classed as "relaxing" lol.
So not the place to drop this acid
Try Dead space, even better!
THANK YOU
It is if you are the big black boi...
Nostromo pre-alien maybe???
This is perfect for me and my xenomorph family to relax, study and sleep. Thank you human.
MEDITATE????? im sleeping with one eye open, with a pulse rifle under my pillow
Then this is for you ua-cam.com/video/I5sMVOPLePg/v-deo.html
Hudson's final entry in his diary.
It's game over, man! GAME OVER!
I'd rather have a shot gun - for close encounters...
You're sleeping??
The sound design for AI was just beautifully done. One of the most atmospheric and convincing sound designs I've ever heard in a video game. No wonder Creative Assembly won awards for it.
Easily the most immersive and thrilling game I've ever played
Wait, Creative Assembly made this game? The Total War people?
@@RuneKatashima Absolutely ! and they nailed it 💪
CRIMINALLY underrated game. Absolutely robbed of a sequel, it's ridiculous there has been nothing to follow it up
**Desire to use motion tracker intensifies**
fucking YES
hahah yes!!
I would love the sound of micro changes in air density.

If my spaceship made these noises, I'd seriously have it looked at.
Yeah, sounds like a crankshaft problem. I'd want to check that out ASAP.
Jose Carreras LOL. Yeah, the rear transaxle is playing up, has no power to the wheels...although, as a mining ship, if it’s processing en route, then there might be noise from hoppers dumping, ore moving, grinders kicking in, and so on. In a hibernation pod, who cares?
Sir, we have given your ship a thorough inspection and determined that literally everything is fucked. Also 3 of our inspectors disappeared during the inspection and another two have had to be hospitalized in a mental institution claiming they encountered some kind of nonsensical creature with two mouths in the lower decks. Our quote for all the work that needs doing is 43 trillion dollars. Cash or card?
@@Aethelhald omg...LOL!!! Surely the insurance should cover it no matter how many mouths it has.
@@swifty1969 I'm afraid his insurance doesn't cover homicidal aliens.

hey dalewon my mom she showed me this new game, ewerquest 2.
The Nostromo makes these sounds mostly at night, mostly.......

🙌🤣
game over man game over
@ nite....geez if Id only see the sunrise & sundown in space......wtf??!!!
They come out when it's dark...
The sounds really give the ship a sense of massive scale.
Reminder that the Nostromo is in no way damaged throughout the entirety of Alien, and yet it still makes the most eerie groaning noises imaginable that is capable of being heard throughout the entire ship
It's a really nice touch just to the 70's vibe of old machinery. Granted all of the equipment is dead-nuts reliable just because their simplicity and crudeness, and when they've been running for 100 years straight it makes all sorts of creaks and groans. It fits so well because you can never tell if it's something that's crawling around and gnawing at the inside of the vents or just some worn out machinery behind the wall.
well it was damaged at the landing
It was damaged when they landed on LV-426.
Yep, totes chill starship of doom.
Next week : yoga and feng shui from the Event Horizon
yamabushi170 🤣
Haha
Brilliant
Loool
Gold🤣
In all honesty, it’s realistic. The groaning from the stress is there, the Alien bumping into twenty different things inside the vents is there.
I tried to sleep with this on and all I could think was "game over man.... Game over!!!"
Classic man classic
RIP, Bill Paxton...
Brilliant 🤣
Saw Alien in the theatre back in 79 and at that age felt it was the most suspenseful movie ever.
Wow, I can imagine :)
damn, I was still dead back in '79, but when I saw it in the 90s it was scary as fcuk.. though the game (Alien Isolation) was even scarier than the movie...
Damn, u were alivei n 79? I was still living my previous life before I incarnated into current one.
It still is along with Jaws!!
It still is.
The sound design in that game is something else. Mind-blowing.
I took off my headphones the sounds and noises didn’t stop... they seem to be coming from the basement...
hold on, I’m going to the basement to check what’s making these noises... be right back...
He encountered a violent lifeform, got distracted before he blew up his house to kill it, and drove away. It was in the trunk.
He is ded
The whole place is a basement.
Good luck🤣
Guys, it's gandalf... we all know how this is going to turn out.
This movie really made me feel as if I was hundreds of light years away from earth, drifting through deep space...
I agree with some commenters that this is hardly relaxing. I watched Alien back in '79 as a 16 year old. It literally gave me nightmares about being chased by an alien for years. This brings it all back. Good stuff!
According to math I was 14.
Normally, the interior of the Nostromo is relatively quiet, as shown in the original movie. This game is not a relaxing ambience; you've got tension-building ambient music, inflated creaking of the ship, and the constant clanking and banging of a Xenomorph running around in the ducting. It's like trying to relax with the echoing noise of a metal safe falling down an endless staircase, with cats fighting in a refrigerator in the next room...
Haha, good one. I guess different people can relax to different things.
Ah yes, we've all been there.
those pesky cats fighting in a fridge
Good god, do people actually say xenomorph?
@@theblueacorn imagine using the proper terminology, _weird_
This _would_ be calming, if my head didn't already couple these sounds with anxiety. Still, great work!
I know, it's hard to relax on a ship with an Alien ob board right?
@Petrazenka Use your own words for Pete sake!
Jimmy Melendez Bots gotta bot
I got so relaxed I pissed myself.
All of these Nostromo sets were designed by the great and incredibly creative Ronn Cobb who died just a few days ago. His film credits are long and distinguished and he has contributed so much to the public imagination. Rest in Peace you innocuous genius.
You don't know what the word innocuous means lol
@@shroudedgrove4679 I do. My autocorrect feature and fat fingers however do not.
@@markwalsh2340 Maybe. Maybe you asked Google what it meant when you read my reply. We'll never know. I'm pretty sure you'd also have to blame your "poor sight" too, considering you have to use your eyes when typing, and would normally catch such an error.
I guess you were just having a clumsy day eh? 😉
One of the best ambient set of the game... really immersive ! I'm gonna test it during my next nap, thanks :)
Awesome, glad you like it :)
sleep tight, dont let the xenomorphs bite!!! lol

relaxing?... inside the Nostromo?....
relaxing??.......
1979: In space no one can hear you scream.
2019: Relaxing waterphone and metal bending sounds 👐 from the Nostromo 👐.
these are some special "people"
😂😂😂
:D
LOL 😆
If you enjoy the sounds of being stalked by a Xenormorph while you're in a cryobed then you're tougher than Ripley.
Everything was perfect untill I woke up holding my chest 😂
You can't imagine how I was in love with this game and it's sound effects after I read the Alien 3 book, with all these sounds of chains rocking and wind blowing fully depicted in the story. It just legitly brought me to that kind of atmospheric horror and I am glad how much they dedicated their work to sound effects in this game. It was incredible.
In space no one can hear you snooze....
Reading “Dead Orbit” by James Stokoe, needed a soundtrack
...perfect
Things like these make me want a surround sound setup with my bed right in the middle.
If it wasn't for an extraterrestrial super-predator lurking around the ship, the Nostromo genuinely seems like an awesome and relaxing environment
The small passageways were the biggest nightmare in this game, because they had no place to hide and took ages to navigate at times. Walking these and hearing the alien up above, capable of dropping any moment, leaving yourself exposed is heart attack material.
As a person who suffers from anxiety, this kept me up all night.
Nothing helps me relax like the sound of aliens crawling around unseen
Need a sequel to this game
Alien: Infestation?
Nice, it's even more relaxing than discussing Sevastopol safety protocols with Seegson synthetics.
I only played this game evening/night for full emotion and I got anxiety every time it was time to play.
Want good horror game? This is the one.
Great, now there’s not just the fear of the monster under the bed, but also the monster on the ceiling.
Sometimes It sounds like the alien is getting out of the ventilation any moment 🤣VERY RELAXING!!
Me: "I sleep."
My Brain: "GAME OVER, MAN! GAME OVER!"
It's freacking 5:00 am, why I'm listening to this???
i see you are man of nocturnal as well
i actually think this is a bit relaxing, but more like a "eyes wide open" situation.... love alien universe and this is great.
and yes i am studying mat with this
This is not unsettling to me in the slightest because I loved the game, and loved the atmosphere of the game. If anything, this video makes me feel nostalgic like I could play the game again, for the 6th time. What would be peaceful for studying and relaxing though, would be the song played in the start menu :)
It's not "relaxing" if I'm constantly trying to bring up the motion sensor while looking for closets.
I know rite. Talk about anxiety.
Alien Isolation PTSD kicks in...
*nightmare difficulty flashbacks intensitifes*
More relaxing Alien music & ambience videos ua-cam.com/video/s7ZMEZSVeMQ/v-deo.html
It's noisy in a bad way. That metallic whining and screeching isn't relaxing. It signals "danger at every corner." Too many startling sounds, meant to keep you on edge. Such a video should be made with repetitive, monotone sounds, with the dull pounding of engines, and the soft lulling whir of terminals.
Frankly, as a relaxing video, it sucks.
1,2 the Alien's hunting for you...3,4 barricade the door.....5,6 better wake up Hicks...7,8 ain't that great...9,10 you're on the run again!
Sevastapol was so scary they should make a movie really
True, ans this is the trailer :) ua-cam.com/video/I5sMVOPLePg/v-deo.html
Having to constantly hide in a locker room or cabinet because you can't fight isn't scary, it's boring and repetitive. Amazing lighting and environment design but disappointing level design and just not good game design in general. Not scary.
Fuzzy Dunlop no wrong you can fight the alien, you obviously havnt played this properly
@@FuzzyDlop Actually, it sounds like you were too scared of the alien *to* fight it (which you can). Looks like somebody was a victim of how great the game actually really is :)
@rayamoroso126 what with "Harsh language"?
I need this but like randomly add a xenomorph scream here and there
oh hell no
Please no
U MAD!? X'D
Nothing is more relaxing than to expect an Alien to appear behind you at any time lol
How could you possibly sleep with these eerie sounds let alone close your eyes?
I'd stay awake like 24/7 seriously.
These sounds are really stressful and the "blip" really gets me.
This puts me to sleep every night, thank you 😴
if you have seen the movies or played this game, BELIEVE YOU ARE NOT GOING TO RELAX AT ALL. Thanks for the video
Love it.
Edit: as someone who almost died playing Alien Isolation I oddly really love this lol
almost?
I don't know how Alien and relaxing can fit in the same sentence, the Alien footsteps gave me PTSD.
*snores deeply with plasma cutter under my pillow
I think it would have been hilarious at the very end to flash a hissing Alien, mouth wide-open front and center for the greatest jump-scare ever.
I notice you didn't go down to the lower decks :)
For good reasons :)
"Ever noticed they never come down here, man?"
Camera's don't work down on some lower decks. Remember.
@@KRAFTWERK2K6 Right.
They Mostly come out at night...mostly ;-) 😂
Only 20 seconds in and I'm already thinking to myself, "this supposed to be relaxing!? Who the hell enjoys purposely going to sleep with all these noises!?" 😅
I kinda like these spooky things myself going to sleep. But maybe if i lived on my own in some cottage in the middle of nowhere, i may think a little differently.
Cpl. Hicks.
Very relaxing to me.
I believe submarine crews sleep to even scarier noises than this in their cabins.
I agree 100%
This is really relaxing because ... I am the Alien!
in space craft and space stations, the hull and superstructure makes groans, moans, and popping sounds because there is a ~200 *C temperature difference between sunlight and shadow, and the heating and cooling of the exterior of the ship as it slowly rotates causes it to expand/contract, making these sounds.
The sounds aren't as loud and pronounced as in this video, but it's more or less on-point.
Spacecraft hull is usually made from a titanium-ceramic alloy that is robust and highly resistant to warping from rapid temperature changes.
0/10 tried to study but kept looking around for facehuggers every few minutes.
Alien: Don't mind me, I'm just passing through, my wife is angry at me for letting our kid lose in your ship, we meant to ask your captain an question was "Where we can find one of the Jupiter Moons?" Then he scream like a little alien school girl, funny how you still........Where that person go?
I think it should be played in the bathroom, it helps speeding up the process
>"Ambience"
>"Relaxing"
Pick one.
Give this one a try instead, mate.
ua-cam.com/video/bGgKdDCJx5o/v-deo.html
I don't understand how this is good for studying, relaxing, or sleeping...
This would give me nightmares. Actually had a Xenomorph nightmare about a week ago.
I'll just hold my breath, and study under my desk
Sweet jesus where is that alien at now
Well, unfortunately this is incorrect. I spent many years working on the Nostromo when I was a technical engineer and kept her running. The sounds were nothing like this as if they were, they would be reported to me. All we ever heard were rumbles of the ion-drive engines. That was it. Even ‘Mother’ kept herself to herself most of the time.
So there you go.
I was tense the whole video waiting for an alien to break in haha !! the noises make you alert!
Perfectly relaxing when hiding under a table. Standing up....not so much.
Not sure how to focus when there's a 7 feet tall flesh eating space lizard lurking in the dark
You've never met my parents
Thank you, I can sleep comfortably knowing that my insides will blow up in the middle of the night.
Omfg why did it take me 2 years to discover this
Oh the flash backs playing the game in the Crouch position all the way though just so the alien can’t hear you walk 😳😳😳
Best game ever :) ua-cam.com/video/I5sMVOPLePg/v-deo.html
Z3nPunk it’s the only I e played that scared the shit out of me but great game
there is something on the ship, its hunting us, all my crew is dead, BETTER FINISH MY HOMEWORK NOW RIGHT GUYS ?
Studying/relaxing/sleeping? You kidding? It´s like the Alien is just about to show up :O
Why does this put me at ease better than any nature scene? I'm messed up.
In space no one can hear you scream
Cause the ship is screaming for you
The most stress inducing sound design ever, being used to relax. ok.
For those that haven't seen the first Alien movie or any of the Sequels or played the game from 2014. The Nostromo was a place of pure Joy. Sooo many many many happy things happened on this Space Craft. A charming and wonderful Crew of pleasant Individuals. No bad Language, no fights, no backstabbing. And the movie is actually a very rational Example for how realiable and trusting AI's are. There is no doubt; That's what our Generation needs :-)
Best summary ever
This is the first time in my life I didn't think I needed this.🐐💨
When I first played the game I hid under a lab bench for an hour, I thought 'I am making a break for it' I got creamed by the alien as soon as I stepped out the door into a passage way, lol!
Werid
You know, I played this game through 3 times and it just now occurred to me: how is that drinking bird working without its glass of water??
Headphones definitely a must, because some sounds you can't hear clearly. I love this track very well done.
Id like one with the hum of the Enterprise from STTNG. This is too disconcerting, but the Enterprise hum is so relaxing and safe.
Fun fact: Kane had a laser pistol while approaching the egg on the derelict ship on LV-426. After the facehugger attached itself to his face, the pistol was dropped and was luckily never recovered. Just imagine seeing someone shoot a laser pistol in the original Alien.
Is it actually visible in the scene? I've watched the movie a ton of times and never noticed. Or is it mentioned in some other media/bit of lore?
@@goodatsolitaire Kane has it drawn when he approaches the egg. The scene doesnt really draw attention to it, but it is visible.
@@mitchelltheawesome1 No kidding, I'll have to give it a rewatch. Can't believe I never caught that after years of repeated views.
@@goodatsolitaire I'd watched it at least 10 times and never noticed it. Wasn't until I saw a production photo of Kane with a holstered gun when I finally noticed it. Went back and watched the film, and sure enough, he had it out in the egg chamber. Isn't that nutty?
Who the heck would would listen to this to fall asleep too!.. its terrifying!!
Idk why I find this calming.
Maybe I'll try listening to it again when it's dark outside since the sun is shining bright atm
Went to bed last night listening to this. Woke up this morning feeling like I'd just been let out of prison.
Since this game, every single time I hear something which sounds like a movement detector the Stress increases...
Huh, F*cking game man.. the trauma is real 😂😂
Whoever made this and think it's relaxing...you've got issues.
yes, we're a special breed...move along

Right. Now take your normal ass out of here and leave me to my meditations. Please and thank you.

Worked offshore on many different vessels.
These ambient noise would put me to sleep.
I swear I can hear Ripley breathing in desperation as she tries to hide from the Alien.
Whatever you do, if you're into videogames, and if you really love this aesthetic and ambience around the ALIEN franchise, please give Alien: Isolation a try, it's perfect.
