Thanks for the video it helped clear some things up about using the addon! I was wondering if you could do a video to show how to use the baking feature to bake from a high poly sculpt to the low poly model, I've been trying to get it to work with the layer painter 1.21 and using Blender 2.82 but so far my normal maps just turn out black. I don't have this problem when I bake with Blender's default baker but it would be nice to know what I'm doing wrong with Layer Painter.
Hi I really found this video useful! But I do have a question. How did you put colour in to the uv map for the colour ID mask ? Sorry it might be very simple but can’t figure it out so.
Layer Painter is an add-on to blender, for use in texturing a model. It probably could be used to turn blender into a substance painter alternative, but i'd recommend just sue blender as a whole.

I assume you mean tileable textures for surfaces... it should be possible but its not the intended purpose
