If you have an engine "cato" it doesn't count as a failure, unless it is something you built! 😁👍👍🇺🇸

Also, you may have not even had a "cato", on a -0 engine those are designed to be used on 2 stage rockets, they burn through to ignite the second stage engine! If you use them on a single stage that doesn't have venting it will act like a "cato". You should use -P (plugged) engines. 😁👍👍🇺🇸

I plug these motors on my own and I have never had a problem with them. On the previous flight, the plug failed and shot the motor out the back but did not obliterate the inside of the rocket. Plus the motor would do that after the burn has finished. This explosion happened really early on in the burn and totaled the TVC mount. You can see the debris from the TVC mount just raining down from the rocket.

@@CSK_Control_Systems Yep, watching the video it acted like you had a crack in the fuel grain and over pressurized the engine, your plug failed. That causeed the explosion like results. You might wanna learn how to make a better plug, because plugged engines are designed to fail by blowing the nozzle out! 😁👍👍🇺🇸
It would best just to buy plugged engines, your rockets are nice enough to eliminate loss for this reason! 😁👍👍🇺🇸

@@TinyHouseHomestead Yes, a crack in the prop grain is what I suspect as well however, I still thing that the motor plug is not causing any additional problems because It has never failed on the 6 previous uses of this plug. In this case when the motor exploded the plug is expected to fail anyway because of the overpressure event in the motor. The plug is made using tightly packed "dog barf" wadding and a custom 3d printed cap that get super glued on to retain the wadding. There are probably better ways to do it but I found that this way just works fine for me.
