Thrust Vector Control Attempt 3 | Hopper V2

This is my 3rd flight test of thrust vector control! I am getting pretty close to success. Here are some key events in flight.
Bad:
- Rocket pitches over on the Y axis due to over correction of the Y axis
- Parachute did not deploy on time. ( the parachute does not even have enough altitude to unfold anyway)
Good:
- The flight data looks way better than last time!
- Rocket starts to re orient itself at the end of the burn
- Parachute actually deploys

Nice project, seems like the rocket either needs a diet or a bigger motor. What are you using?

I am using as Estes D12-0 for the low altitude test launches so it is meant to only go 20 feet or so. Maybe the rocket should go on a diet for the future flights that go higher lol.

This is awesome. I´m starting on software for my own TVC and i´m wondering if you know any good resources for learning? Specifically about how to code the IMU (integration, filters, quats etc) Thanks in advance.

Thanks!, I would love to help but I am not that educated in the software side of things in order for me to provide guidance. Someone online has been helping me with this project so I haven't used many online resources and I am still learning. I would recommend starting simple and not over complicating it. I am using just a Proportional Controller so it is not a full PID. As for resources my best guess for where you can get help is the r/rocketry Discord and Reddit pages. You might be able to get help successfully there. If you need any help with the hardware side of things like the TVC mount, components for the avionics, etc I would be happy to help!.

Motor underperformed otherwise everything was perfect ❤
