Watching this while taking a break from bottling my own passata. Tomatoes grown from seeds given to me by a couple of old tobacco growers; one gentleman was originally from the same area of Sicily! Memories of sitting around the tub cutting the cores out of the tomatoes, learning Italian swear words, drinking home made wine, and listening to the stories 😊

Miss doing this with mum and dad so much brings me to tears everytime, right down to growing marrows and drying them out, we used to have family competitions with my uncles on who could grow the longest marrow. Watching this while taking a break from bottling my own passata. Tomatoes grown from seeds given to me by a couple of old tobacco growers; one gentleman was originally from the same area of Sicily! Memories of sitting around the tub cutting the cores out of the tomatoes, learning Italian swear words, drinking home made wine, and listening to the stories 😊

Miss doing this with mum and dad so much brings me to tears everytime, right down to growing marrows and drying them out, we used to have family competitions with my uncles on who could grow the longest marrow.
Unfortunately I'm the only one left to carry on the old traditions but I'll keeping doing it until i can't.
