How To Make HOMEMADE TOMATO SAUCE Like an Italian Nonno

  • Homemade tomato sauce is the essential ingredient in every Italian household - it’s like liquid gold. This year I was invited to Sicilian tomato master Filippo’s, to make his yearly batch using his very own home-grown Roma tomatoes. 🍅💯
This practice is about more than cooking, it is an annual tradition where the whole family gathers together to create one of the simplest but most important ingredients that will feature heavily on the plate all year round. The custom is dying out in a lot of ways with the older generation but I’m here to teach you how it’s done so you can keep it going! 🍅
Gather your family and make a batch large or small - I promise once you taste the difference you’ll be making your own batch every year too!

@@absolutelyabsolute4671 monsanto is a giant in food production that messes with gm foods, they insert their board members into government bodies all over the wold and basically influence those countries for their interests. It's worth having a little look into it, very corrupt

@@absolutelyabsolute4671 yes, they have destroyed the livelyhoods of many primary producers and many others and forced gm foods to dominate the market and therefore give Monsanto a lot of control over food production and availability. gm foods have contributed to a lot of problems and imbalance in the ecosystem.
there are a lot of concerns with long-term human health when ingesting GM foods. there are suspicions of coverups around human health effects similar to the coverups in the sugar and tobacco industry, but as yet definative proof of this is difficult.

Yes, Filippo and I are very proud of our ancient traditions. They are a precious treasure that we must protect and pass on to future generations. Traditions help us stay connected to our past and give us a sense of identity. They also teach us important values such as respect, family, and community.

Vince, I was in Sydney in 1968 on R+ R from Vietnam. I remember going to a pub on cross streat an doble bay. All they had was cider. And I thought, what no bear. O boy, that kicked my a##. Can't wait to come back. Great memories. Now I can add vincenzos plate to my Australian memories. Grazie mille ciao franco
