- Toyota REVEALS A $10,000 Pickup Truck!
The Toyota Tacoma truck is made in the United States for Americans and Canadians to avoid the "chicken tax," whereas the Toyota Hilux pickup is sold in 181 other nations. It has a simpler, more similar appearance to our Tacoma. It's recognizable from footage of humanitarian help or conflict zones on international news. It seems that it had become quite extravagant, and at $15,200 starting price, it was pricing itself out of some of those markets.
With a planned starting price of $10,000, the Toyota IMV 0 aims to occupy the affordable space beneath the Hilux. It debuted in style as part of the Land Cruiser 70 Series at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.

Where did you get the text for your video?
This thing would dominate the US side-by-side market.
Has to be safer then the popular k-trucks like the Honda Acty that everyone is importing into the US
If they come available in the United States I will buy one of these vehicles
After the dealers get it, it will be $25000 to us.
Moron.
It isn’t the dealers.
It’s the government levies, fees, taxes, permits, etc. etc.
Western countries control the car markets.
And they are in lockstep with the unions as well.
Plus accessories!
That’s why you make it available online only with brick and mortar front for test drives avoid dealers like Tesla
@@bluesentinel avoid dealers like tesla....what the fk are you talkin about you stup democratic f00I
More like $35,000
i would absolutely buy this! its simple plain, love the different MODS you could do to this vehicle. would love this!
Be nice for 10' 000 dollars, but it will never happen for us.
This is the option businesses have been needing for decades. They should also offer this option in even smaller pickups, like the for the size of the 1980 Tacoma and offer at least three levels of power, along with hybrids. Farmers and ranchers would love this option truck, as would the average Joe.
Would be nice to see a truck for people who can't afford scary loans.
Like myself!!
And me😂@@tripacer8259
Toyota has been doing this for a long time in markets outside the USA. It’s called the LiteAce Pickup which could also be ordered with a box (among other things) instead of the bed
It’s sad that they don’t go back in time and build a truck from the 70s and 80s that made a great job truck with a long life
EPA was the demise of the great trucks we had.
Would love to see them both brought to America especially the diesel model if they can be reliable in cold weather and not clog the diesel exhaust filter!
EPA has basically ruined diesels in the USA
USA super strict regulations are the reason why Toyota won't bother bring diesels to the states.
I dont think youve been around new diesels. You could eat off of the tail pipe after 100k miles @jdrhea6712
Need 10 k truck in USA
Too many retards buy trucks because they want to look like someone who works for a living, while living like a clown.
So they destroy the market for real people.
You’ll never see it in Canada and USA. Mexico YES!!
Yes but there arw better trucks for the same price here, there is not chicken tax so allmost all the brands sell basic body on frame pick up trucks, Nissan NP300, Chevrolet s10 or Mitsubishi L20 are cheap and nice
It reminds me of my 1993 Toyota pickup . Five speed trans. Four cylinder, bare bones, it was 8ooo and lasted 13 years and 250000 miles.
No air bags? Means US won’t get this till 2028 for 20k
You can have airbags installed for extra. Also, as used for a farm or side bi, you wouldn't need the airbags.
You can have airbag, ABS, lane departure, etc. installed. The reason it won’t be in the United States is because of tariffs
The micro car market is another area auto manufacturers need to take advantage of. Using magneto drive technology, being the same tech used to power trains and then back this up with a bank of capacitors to give the driver the acceleration they desire when needed, such as for getting on the highway or for passing a vehicle. These micro cars could be very spunky and fun to drive and get up to 100 mpg and go up to 500 miles on one 6 gallon tank of gasoline or diesel. This is what people need for in and around town and for rural driving. These could be offered with a starting price below 10k.
My friend just bought a 2024 chevy 4 door 2500 series truck. Sideswiped a telephone pole at 5 mph. 2k miles on it. He paid 55k. Two weeks ago. Repairs are 11k. Good grief.
Can it be bought without the dealer straight from Toyota
Yes. There are 2 import dealers in the US that I know of. It's the cost of the vehicle + import and handling fees.
You think theres any chance these will ever come to the US?
This would be awesome for my business..
Buy a fleet of them !
90 percent of this video has nothing to do with the new truck...
The EPA doesn't want vehicles like this here. It would make too much sense..It would hurt the big automobile, oil, and machanic repair companies. If people live and work in a low range area, like small towns or cities. People that only drive locally. The cost and efficiency would truly be amazing. They make trucks, cars, vans and campers. Normal everyday people would be able to afford these vehicles. Me, being 12min from work in a rural area in a facility that employees 150ish people, mostly local, I'd drive it. It would also boost the economy, seeing that the fuel costs would free up money to purchase other needed or wanted items.
The reason it is not sold in the United States is because of tariffs/socialist protectionism. The tariffs are there to benefit domestic manufacturers and union which fund politicians election campaigns.
I'll have one, for years I've wanted a cheap and cheerful Ute...
Trying to envision a LEGO extend-a-cab configuration that performs most for the extra $12k
Seems a lot like the kind of truck I really want, sadly it will never be sold here in Denmark/EU I think.
But gives me a bit nostalgia for when I had a Nissan D21 extended/king cap, pretty simply thing but I would get one again right now if I could find one!
Guessing it won't be for sale in the usa
Great size as a farm mechanics service truck. All a work vehicle has to be is just a carburettor engine with a gearbox with differentials jammed between a chassis.
It's a needed vehicle for today's family to have a mode of transportation that can haul a light load .
Yes, true! We just hope it will be released soon,
They're trying to make something like the TUV (Africar Jockey/Landio/Toyota Condor/Kijang/Qualis/Revo/Stallion/Tamaraw/Unser/Venture/Zace (1976-2007)). TUV stands for Toyota Utility Vehicle.
A down to basic vehicle that brings the price down is a welcomed sight over high tech toys add ons
We will never be able to get these trucks in the US market
If they are $10k I'll buy 5
Same
We wont get it in the us for 5 more years and itl be bloated af when it comes
It is long past time that the US gets rid of pick up tariffs. Tariffs should not be allowed without a sunset clause.
I like the way it sounds already I’ll get the flat bed manual 4 gas or diesel I like the basic look and all the possible build up after
good luck finding one in the US, ever. if they do come in, dealers will throw every possible option/package on it to make them all $90K just like the big3. it will never be less than $20K in the US.
but if it is.... i'll be very interested in one as a daily driver if it's gas or diesel, but I doubt that will happen for US consumers ever again.
We’re getting wrecked on price here in CAD/USA
You know what would have been a lot cooler than NOT showing the interior of the reveal truck? Yeah.
I disagree about the gap in the American market slightly. Those of us that need work trucks don’t really buy a lot of new trucks. It would be hard for a new no frills work truck to compete with the used market in my opinion since used low trim work trucks are readily available. On the farm we have an 02 base 4x4 Toyota Tacoma and an 05 gm diesel. I would never have considered buying a new truck as I was starting my business, and I’m probably not going to buy another truck for over a decade.
Just to make it legal in the U.S. they won’t be able to sell it for $10,000. Ad on any options especially the bed options and the prices will go up even more. It’s got a market for other countries but maybe not for the U.S.. especially not at this price.
This is basically THE WALTONS TRUCK from 1932 Model A Ford.
Except this is reliability and camper ready with a 1 TON payload I wanted.
I'm all in in Canada and a Toyota customer that is treated like family with honesty, dignity and respect at the dealer.
I'm a script writer in retirement so here it goes ??
" AT TOYOTA .........IT'S NOT JUST A CAR.........IT'S A CALLING !! "
Bring it to the USA!
At Bangkok auto show. Advertising at $15k US
I like it will it be sold in the United States
I love it and I want one but I'm on SSDI so I can't afford it. The FJ cruiser the Highlander and a few more are the best autos I have ever had so yes I can't wait to see it in person thank you Toyota
This track minimum 28,000 thousand dollars
I would love one here in Canada because it is just basic without all this other fancy crap on it. It would get the job done
Great. So when is it going to be available here?
Like the price just would like to know when we can buy one
We will never see it in the USA To bad !
Love my 2011 Tacoma single cab 4x4. Simple, no bells and whistles.
This flat bed truck perhaps a return to Toyota motorhomes? Be nice, however U.S. won’t get it.
🙋🏼
I love this vehicle at this point it's absolutely perfect for today with fuel and it's simplicity is all we ever really needed is would love this please Toyota Iwe need this
Will it be offered in 4wd?
I will buy one right now hear in the U.S. when will this be available? Game changer status right here.
You'll never see it the big auto companies will never allow it in without airbags and never be allowed in. Will the EPA they'll keep it out to you. The big auto won't be able to sell their $90,000 trucks. And like that one guy said the put everything in them and they'll sell them for $60,000 or more. You know if people would use their heads, and quit buying these vehicles what do you think would happen. They would have to change things the way they do it they won't be able to make the top two models out of each string you ever try to look for the cheaper line like on trucks or cars they don't make them all the car lots is filled up with the high-end stuff, If you go out buy top end pickup like ford, chevy or dodge there all over 100,000.00 dollar's
So where can I get one?
Are they sold in the US yet
Not yet. Thanks for watching.
If there were 10 k trucks I would buy one or two.
I’m liking it a lot I hope the make it it will be my first brand new car
i watched one of this car in PDI today.
Question is when? In US.
My '88 Toyota pickup is "outdated"..yet I am approached several times monthly by those wanting to buy it.
GREAT machine. LOVE the engineering. My gift to Toyota is: the fold down rear tailgate blocks the lights when in the down position. This is actually an unnecessary danger for drivers parked at the side of the road doing delivery as it blocks the hazards. Simple solution: CUT OUT rectangles in the tailgate that show the lights when folded down. Less steel in the stamping = savings as a bonus. You are welcome.
THAT'S IF it Stays at 10,000 dollar's to the consumer 🤔
WHEN? WHERE IS THE TRUCK. IT'S XMAS AND WE WANT A 10K PICKUP FROM TOYOTA, KOJI SATO.....WHERE IS IT?
yes the American public needs a afford vehicle for the general population
Return to BASIC TRUCK.. wow.. this will be big!
I hope it makes it to the states
I like the 10,000 dollar pickups
I am flying over to Thailand and putting 1 in a container for ireland
i want/need one!
Bring the small truck and the Hilux to the U.S.
I want it and at that price we should be able to buy without a delership.. it would be easier..
Is this the rumored Toyota stout?
Yo hey now I need one
Sigh me up I'll take one . Definitely like it.
The truck will never be offered in the US for $10000!
Wait a few years prior drop 😂
we need this in he UK
I so badly want a solid truck that has none of the frills. I just want it to run
Don’t need AC. Don’t need ABS. Don’t need electric windows, back up cam, on star, Bluetooth, airbags or even a radio. Just want a tuff truck that doesn’t cost half of what I paid for the house
i hopefully this price is true
Would buy as a basic truck if 15k
Won’t be offered in the USA
I want one
Love it.
This coming in4x4
I’m sold
I want one ☝🏾 but I’m in the US
Hilux in Guatemala is one of the best pickups, it's deturrant is the price, awfully expensive overpriced.
Look like a inlarge JDM k,van
So probably its not for sale here because at that price nobody would buy anything else so automobile companies lobbyists pay the politicians the politicians get rid of the toyota and the next thing you know Bobs you uncle.
I’ll take one
Toyota should sell straight to costumers, cut out the dealers
Revealing is not the same as it being available.
It's half truck at half price.
Instead of all you automotive companies talking do it.
yeah, fck it!!
- it will only be available in south east asia
Enjoy looking at it. You will never be allowed to buy one.
This truck will never be available in the US
NO TURBOS V6 WITH.AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PRICE
Not in USA you won’t get it
IF IT GOES TO THE USA IT WILL BE $20,000 TO $25,000.. ....IT WOULD NOT MATER IF IT COST $1.00 IN CHINA TO MAKE... YOU WILL STILL PAY $20,000 TO $25,000 FOR IT!!!
