As some people pointed out, both it's payload capacity and the option to remove the bed means it's competing against trucks like the f250 and f350, trucks 3x as expensive as the most expensive Hilux champ model. It will sell to the people it's made for, not for soccer moms and aholes who want a big truck because big truck. -This truck has been tested before it comes out.
- This only intended in asian market not in USE or in any western countries
- This is intended for business purposes
- Toyota knows best what we need in asia and the possibility will be no Toyota champ in wester countries
I can’t unsee the “mechanic” with the ratchet on the front of the caliper
Deal breaker 2 is a non-event for me.
I don't need gadgets. I need reliability.
Sadly, it will never come to USA. It would only sell a 100k a year.
I'm not saying it will come to the US (Toyota already said if it were sold in the US, it would cost $26-27k), but 100k units a year would be considered a very successful model.
@@NoToBigBro a 26k work truck that can tug 5k or carry 2k in the bed? every service company in the usa would buy them and chuck a ladder rack on them and a tool box.
@@MrSGL21 Every service company in the US buys Ford because they sell them at cost.
Wow... I would like to get one! But not available in Canada! Too bad! 😂
We need this in California
The far left democrats will never allow this. Blame them for all the cars being so expensive
10000$ это суперпредложение.Ждем коллаборацию тойота и зсу23-2 в Африке и на Ближнем Востоке😅
I ran a garage door business for more than forty years with seven foot , four cylinder ,Rangers. I've been struggling these last years with a 6ft. Ranger only because of truck regs. 4' and 6' beds are bullshit . Buy a full size truck for $50,000 right.
It also has no rear parking assist. That's pretty annoying given how long the bed is.
Too funny they tell you it doesn't meet market demands as far as luxury is concerned, but they'll never let the USA & Canada have this truck because the market would tell them they've had enough of over priced trucks
Americans: I want to drive around in a pickup truck with an infotainment screen so i can drop the kiddies off at school with aggressive styling to make me look cool.
The rest of the world: Can you make a reliable pickup like you, and the Americans used to back in the day?
Toyota.... Consider it done.
As a farm worker in the UK. This is like a dream from heaven. Pickups should be pickups. Piss off with your massage seats and screens.... Can i stick half a ton of whatever i want in the back and park it in town.
Bring to Canada, i'll buy one.
Ill buy 3
13000USD here in Thailand.
Why do they keep showing us things that we can't buy in the USA
why would you buy a $27k car when suzuki can get you the same for $4500 or less, check DA16T kei (mini) trucks, there are even automatic transmission variants, these kei trucks are importable in the US and just needs a few upgrades for less than $2k to make them road worthy
The kei trucks are half the power I still want a kei truck for fun
Kei trucks have a payload of 330kg(726lbs) not 1 ton (200lbs), also they are not street legal in all states.
Lay off the booze 😂🎉😮
because most people don't think like you
Bring it to the U.S..
Quad cab?
If these were 25k id still buy one. Toyota, take the tax and bring them here. At least as a utv
me too. instead of a dirty diesel, give me a 1.8 na gas engine w/ hybrid.
We As Usonians are too spoilt with the usual pickups and trucks in the U.S market. Out Politicians did very bad with the chicken tax. Thus Our Farmers were affected and they as dont have any options. Import kei trucks now. We should think more in efficiency than Raw power.. I expect they came soon.
Perfect truck for the 3rd world. In the US it would only sell to people who actually need trucks and would accept the compromises involved in driving a cheap, spartan vehicle- and there really aren’t too many of those here.
A truck like this has been missing in the market for ages and I know even here in the EU (where vans are king) the champ would do good because of it's price point and incredibly durable construction, it's the cheap low maintainance cargo vehicle many businesses need
Dunno. Hoy you can explain your fellow import trucks from Japan (kei trucks) as an affordable option to mobilize cheply when they only carries usually half a ton? Remember . Kei cars loads a ton but a very small cc number. (660 cm3)
@@IIISpeeder I’m familiar. Kei trucks in America is a niche market that barely matters, and would be even if they were sold new and LHD.
@@the_steamtrain1642 that’s not where the money is in the US.
It is EXACTLY what so many in N. America want/need, don't change a thing.
-Never happen as the pickup truck market is major profit platinum mine, and a $12 ,000 truck will never be allowed.
-Citizens themselves are way too stupid to give it a chance anyway, they could never see beyond what it doesn't have......sorry for us all..
Too bad that Toyota will not bring this model in Europe.
The review talks about the drawbacks.Actually,not drawbacks,as it's a basic vehicle many buyers want,not air con,leather seats,electronics,and touch screens.Being
I don't need a 50-thousand-dollar truck to go to a job site while hauling my tools or offroad for camping, fishing or 4 wheeling. Please bring a 4 wheel drive version to the US....
The Toyota HiLux Tamaraw Champ😱
#1 reason we will never see it... Dealers can't get 84 month loans at 9%.
Would buy if gust need a truck for the utilities a basic
I hope despite the chicken tax they dont make it 4 door
The only weakness is it's not here for me to buy it!
I HATE THE CHICKEN TAX
x2
this would sell like hot cakes in the usa. even as a atv category
This is not a luxury truck... if you want those add ons like safety airbags, soft cushion interior and leather seats then don't expect a $12,000 price tag. This is for asian market where it will be used like a farm tractor🤪
If I want a pretty vehicle I will get one that isn't made for working. This vehicle is made for you to get stuff done and go home. The money saved in all the driving to work and back will afford you that one vehicle you always wanted to be "pretty" in. In one year of hard work you can own one of these. Even if you struggle. Most of us can own the vehicle in less than 5 years. WHO CARES about what it doesn't have or how safe it is. The point of driving is to get to point A to point B alive. Not trying to race every to a place you often dread being. Smart people look for be best way to succeed. Lower your ambitions long enough to be able to.have an Ambition.
Toyota,International should fire its SA CEO, and board. Given a massive gap in market from all aspects, as well as traditional tough reputation, this vehicle should have been on the market here, a year ago, but appears they'd rather standby watching the increasing market gains by chinese vehicles, in general. Very sad.
Let's discuss reliability in 2045. Let it prove itself first. I have a long list of case studies to prove the opposite. Calling a new vehicle "reliable" is a bit of a gamble, perhaps not very smart?
Toyota won't bring it to America or Europe at a affordable price as they know they could not meet the demand..I would have one and my wife would have one at that money tomorrow...
they can sell this in the US mono spec for $20k
so it wont capture Tacoma buyers
what Scion Truck was meant to be but was never made
so sad by the time it gets to the states it will be 30 grand with import tariffs
Lqck of 4wd is a dealbreaker
so cute.
People are broke and need a cheap reliable car. As long as it has AC and Bluetooth radio that’s all I need not even infotainment center.
This truck have it all for carry goods for most ppl!😝
Esp in Asian market…cut all unnecessary to reduce price!…👍
Its hard to start business in this day.
Its would help a lot if truck is cheap!…
Toyota did it right again!,..
But its not for US market at all, lol😅😂
I want one because it fits my needs and demands. But I live in the EU where there is no fun only rules rules and more rules. So we wont get it. 😠
Why wont this sell in EU?
@@Groza_Dallocort EUSSR regulation. Even banana import have regulation, the banana have to be certain length, bending etc. Now apply that to car. it’s not toyota’s decision. it’s the US government putting tariffs on it.
Truck has no cons. Change any of that and price goes up. We want to keep our wallet and have a truck at same time
they dont even come to some Asian country I can't see how US will get them
It will not come to the US because it is not indented for that market.
Safety, it's a truck not a motorcycle, get a clue.
This truck will never make it to the USA market it would destroy all truck brand
Lobbyists won’t allow. So how’s that red white and blue working for ya? I ain’t no senators son!😮
That the idea. Usonian Trucks ar too bulk and expensive to mantain. We must support free market in these areas.
american truck companies will throw money to the EPA so this truck never sells in the US
You cannot buy the high luxury in the United States or the Toyota Corolla. They're lying to us.We get to look at it but can't buy it.This is their ten thousand dollar truck
Steering wheel is on the wrong side.
No it's on the "Right" Side.
Asian countries use other traffic setup. as UK.
