Many years ago, when he had is retaurant in Devon, we spent two days with Keith (we stayed at the donkey farm across the road). Unbelievalbe time, such memories!
Mine too! I'm smiling when I just hear that Stranglers -theme in the beginning.. I love all those dishes he makes but most of all I love his character. It is real a shame that he passed away.
The best chef, from my childhood.. But those dishes... Are not really main popular finnish foods at all. If you make reindeer, you most likely just fry it in pan and serve it over mashed potatoes. We are not usually very fond of the internal organs.. Except liver.
Keith Floyd - what can you say? He was a trailblazer and there is still nobody better. Wonderful entertainer and cook.

I was in my teens in the 70's when my dad got me watching Floyd on Fish. Over half a century later, still a major fan.
I sometimes come back to see these Floyd episodes. He was my inspiration for cooking.

I miss the Europe of my childhood that comes through in these videos, before the internet and mass Americanization, or homogenized haute cuisine.
