Saying that, compared to the rest of Italy, Calabria is almost unknown is hilarious. It may be true for British and American tourists, to whom Italy's knowledge is limited to Venice and Tuscany only, but believe me, the beauty of Calabria is very well known. Calabria a secret??? Ahahah, It was the heart of the ancient Magna Graecia! And, just imagine, the cheese maker was paying the milkman in Lire, which means that the video is previous to the introduction of Euro, i.e. the year 2000!
If you go to 28.50 you will see the roman numerals MCMXCIV, which means the film was made in 1994. Back then I'm guessing it would have been relatively unknown to overseas tourists. A few years ago I took the train from Catania up to Salerno which was quite an experience. If I ever go back I'll try and get a train during daylight hours
@@davidbutcher5295 If you'll ever get the chance to go back, don't miss the National Archealogical Museum in Reggio Calabria, where the Riace's bronzes are, together with other magnificent treasures.
Please, keep it a secret. We don't need tourists bombarding the region. Oh, this was an old cooking show. Didn't know. Forget what I said. Buon appetito.
Also thank you so much for posting these videos. They're freaken Wonderful.

I wouldn't care about your fingers being in it, I would eat that meal, if I had a chance. LOL.

Ooo, I just slipped into an empty and fresh comment section - like dipping my toe into a pool.
Potato?
I wonder if Calabria still looks this way today? Something tells me it looks more like Rwanda than Italy in 2023.
Why would it look like Rwanda??
The heart of darkness has arrived
@ronmexico79 LOL, maybe open your eyes and switch off the BBC then you'll awaken...
