    Gidday from Melbourne, Down Under...
    have a look at this video I filmed in 2002, East coast Australia - a real life Siphonophore I found while diving the shallows at the local Wharf dive site.
    The night before had seen a huge lightning storm which whipped up large seas
    and I'm guessing, brought in some other deep sea creatures into the shallow waters. My film was shot with the older 4:3 format Mini DV, which is unfortunately lower resolution than what we can now get from an HD camera, or even a GoPro.

    25....this is a vertibrae but that looks a lot like a backbone. Is it some sort of adaptation. I know it is a colony of many different animals so could that be part of the internal organisms?
