+thebigsee Thank you so much!
@@FilmLab now on 8:37 its showing 01h 19m 55s that means we can record video for 1hour 19minutes . But on 9:05 its showing 20m . That means we can record video only for 20 minutes. Can u please explain whats happening.
@@amitdirector6122 at least with these settings (I'm not sure with other cameras/settings) you can only film for 20 minutes at a time. The 1h 20min means that there is room on the SD-Card for about that much time.

resolution and frame rate - 0:44
Focus - 3:16
shutter, apperature ISO - 3:49

I have been exhausting all my resources for live dance performance shooting using any DSLR I can get my hands on. It doesn't help when I get my hands on an amazing camera for photography and know nothing about it but you have cleared most of my technical questions when it came to cinematography for Nikon. Thank You. I'm using my borrowed Nikon D7000 as my C-Roll camera for an on-stage camera angle.
Sounds exciting good luck!

One thing to keep in mind is to change the audio from auto to manual (or somewhere between 15-18), so that you don't pick up too much hissing.
I always use 15 personally, because AUTO is just meh
FINALLY someone talking about trying a Nikon for filming. Just about everyone uses Canon, as well.as Panasonic and Sony for filming.
Seriously! Great video. Straight to the point.

hi you helped me a lot ! thankyou so much bro
Thanks for this video! Soooo helpful!
Thanks; this video was very helpful as I start using my d7200 for filming.
Fantastic tutorial ,very helpful indeed thanks
Nice video. A couple of points though. If you want to do your own color grading after the fact, you should be shooting in Flat not Neutral. That will give you the most latitude. Neutral has too much Sharpening added, to look natural (the film look your going for). You would have to go in and create a custom setting for this, but it only takes a couple minutes and you only have to do it once. It is also much easier and better for most, to set up their color style in camera and skip color grading altogether, as it is pretty difficult and most people don't enjoy doing this in the first place. A good white balance also goes a long way to make things look right. A lot of people skip that step and since your not filming in Raw, this is very difficult to correct.
Secondly, your shutter speed should be set to 50 (not 40) on a DSLR. That most closely resembles the proper setting of 48 (2 times the frame rate 24). Most high end pro video cameras have a 48fps setting. When you go lower, you introduce even more blur, especially if you are shooting moving subjects. If you planned to do slow motion, 100 would be at better setting still. Hope that helps!
Excelente vídeo, explicou muito bem. Obrigada
this was excellent please do more your really clear with your explanations unlike others
Super bro it’s very nice to understand your words and they are very useful.
