Excellent. I have an a7III and am just now getting into video. I've been using auto focus but found, as you said, it has it's limits. An advantage I find with manual focus is the leeway you have if you know the DOF. I often consult a DOF app. Today I was shooting a large garden with numerous plants and flowers. It was breezy and the moving flowers made it difficult for the AF to lock focus. Manual was better. Love your videos.
In such cases (e.g.: shooting a dancing video) I try to set a higher DOF to have everything in focus while the subjects are moving continuously. I also use A7III.
Nicely done. I've been a still photographer for decades and am now shooting video. So much to learn and AF truly has me stumped. I've watched 10 other videos and so far yours is most concise and well explained. Next question...24-120 f4 Nikkor or stick with my trusty 50mm 1.4D?
I use an old camera nikon d3200 since I cannot have any other now. So for recording myself speaking like you are on the video. I record with single focus. Focus on face. However, there are sometimes I wish to record details of my painting process like brushtrokes in macro setting.... I i guess i will try manual focus
You teach me alot but i pray to be just like you, im still struggling to get that gimbal im saving for one they are quite expensive and i cant afford it now maybe later then i would come back here t revise them free lessons.thank you
Great video! Thank you! But still can not figure out if it is possible to have evenly sharp video with one object closer and the other further… please guide me … thank you 🙏. I have cannon m50
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any help you can give me!
What if I am constantly moving around. Is there a way I can set the camera to make everything sharp? I want to point and shoot with my dslr the way I can with my iphone. I made cooking videos in my kitchen.
Loved❤️ the end technique where u are running with the subject and the result of the same is so smooth like u weren't running at all and loved the zoom in and zoom out while talking by the way I loved the whole video but I would love more if it was in 1080p
Suppose santa comes to saurav and asks " dear, this Christmas I'm gonna gift u a successful career. What do u wish to be?" what would saurav wish to be??? a) photographer b) engineer c)youtube content creator d)filmmaker
saurav brother it will be a amazing job if you start a series of mobile photography & videography, bcz your every subscriber doesn't have a professional camera or a normal dslr, many people have smartphone, and believe me today's smartphones cameras are damn amazing, so can you do this please 🥺
Believe me just sell your expensive phone andd buy a cheap phone and a buy a DSLR because whatever camera you have on your phone it will not be good like a DSLR you always will face limitations
Thanks for sharing all this valuable information. Shooting video on an older DSLR is a challenge when it comes to focus. I have a T3i & T6i and I struggle with focus on both when shooting moving objects. I ended up getting a GoPro but it's not as fun to shoot with. I should experiment with my DSLR's a bit more and use the information you provided. Great job on this video. 👍👍
Sir I don't know if you will be able to do that but I really want you to give us a glimpse of the features of sony xperia 1 ii. As I have watched it's review I think it's a wonderful camera phone. please sir
This video is very helpful. I know some of uses but in acting scenes and moving subjects, i faced some focusing issues in shooting but now my concept is clear and understand how to use focusing system in these situations. Thanks Bro 😊✨📸
Well done .... the only thing I would suggest you to improve is - Sound quality and when you show your task outside of studio .... only show what is important and get the music beats synchronise with video.
The way U explain a shoot really shows ur passion Bro.
