The bears that he did know were all in hibernation by then, but this straggler came in the area late and still needed food for hibernation. Timothy NEVER stayed this long, little past the beginning of hibernation. Him and his girlfriend stayed too late. Both Timothy and his girlfriend were mauled and consumed by the SAME bear. I believe it is extremely important that we NEVER stop talking about Otto (I apologize if I am spelling his name incorrectly) and seek reparations from North Korea no matter what the cost. I think that North Korea wasn't going to allow him to come back with the ability to tell his story but they needed him alive to use a bargaining chip and thats why he was treated to the abuse he suffered.

Those bears only tolerated him. Contrary to what Timothy thought, there was NO relationship between them. Plus he went there at the worst time. Right before hibernation when these bears were instinctively overeating so to survive the winter. With all his studies on bears idk why that never crossed his mind. His gf was just extra food to the grizzlies. Nothing personal lol 😆

The second story about the bears isn’t quite accurate. He was advised not to fly in so late as most bears were already hibernating. Those who weren’t hibernating hadn’t eaten enough to survive over the winter hibernation theory. When he took his girlfriend there he did know the bears that were around. The ones he was familiar with were in their dens for the winter.

It wasn't a group of grizzlies that ate Timothy Treadwell. It was a single bear that he called either Mr. Grumpy or Grumpy bear and it was his own fault for being there in October when they're fattening up for winter. He knew he shouldn't have been there, especially without bear spray or a rifle. The second bear joined in the eating afterward. I listened to the 6 minute recording of him being eaten and it was horrendous.
