    I use generally use 300 ppi for print jobs and 72 ppi for UA-cam tuts to save space in my computer, however, I recently decided to use higher resolutions for future tuts for the very reason you mentioned. Thanks for the question! Marty

    I just subscribed to your channel. I have done 6 of the tutorials using CS4 and the results were pretty much exact. I did these in just a few hours. Your teaching methods are very concise and easy to understand. I found the best way to do the lesson is to go slowly pausing the tutorial after completing each step. If the image step did not come out right, I backed up and repeated the step until it did. I found the shortcuts to be very useful. It was also very helpful when you wrote the color selection numbers on the screen. Thank you for your tutorials.

    These are very well made and clear. Hoping this works in more current versions of Photoshop as well

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  4 роки тому +2

      Anything done on earlier versions can be done now, but some of the tools may look different and their locations may be placed elsewhere. I've done many space-related tutorials on later versions. Go to my channel and click the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). Type in "space".

    A very high quality tutorial demonstrating an interesting and advanced effect. You don't find both of those in the same video too often on UA-cam, except from a few sources. Thank you for your awesome tutorials.

    Something odd happens when I try to hide the planet with the rings using the mask. The more I hide, the more White shows up, I think the white is the outer glow, but not sure whats going on.

    idk why but once I get to the twirl part it won't let me twirl it's greyed out. Is there something I missed or did they change how your able to twirl now?

    Great tutorial. I was going really fine right up to 6:41 as soon as I click colorize it all turns a colour something like #edc6c6. I have made sure over and over again that the star layer is the only one selected. Help please any idea why?

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  8 років тому +5

      This was one of my earliest tutorials. I apparently skipped a step. After you ick the adjustment layer icon at 6:40, you need to clip it to the layer below it. Press Ctrl + Alt + G (Windows) or Cmd + Option + G (Mac). Sorry about that!

      Your tutorials are awesome! I ran into the same problem. I did what you said in this comment, but only the planet layer underneath is not effected. All the other layers under that one are grey. Any idea? Thank you!

    for some reason in all of your tutorials my effects come out looking drastically different than yours. for example: the twirl effect for me did not look anything like this. same with some effects in your sun tutorial. i am using cs5 extended as well.

    Will this work with different document sizes or are the ones you provided necessary?

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  6 років тому

      Whenever a document's size and/or resolution is changed, the setting amounts in the many of the filters, adjustment layers and layer styles need to be changed, as well, in order to achieve the same results.
