I have gone through sooo many tutorials looking for someone to get down to the meat and potatoes of how to do this! Watching your video was a breath of fresh air. Most tutorials go at the pace of Sonic and Yak on about stuff I don't understand. Thank you for a simple, easy to follow, explanation.
Adobe Photoshop can be unneccesary confusing sometimes IMO. When I watch some other tutorials, they sometimes do something as a shortcut key action what they deem as 'basic' and kinda don't explain what they just did. I really appreciate how your explanation is very clear, for example with the levels function. Thank you!
I just used this, and it came out great! But when I went to save it, everything I tried kind of dimmed out some of the stars. Still looks fantastic, better than anything I could have ever done myself before watching this, but I still kinda liked how it looked before saving as jpg or png, or flattening the image. =)
Very clear and informative tutorial, which is especially useful for beginners who want to produce high quality images. Subscribed. Keep up the good work!
Absolutely brilliant tutorial and You've helped me create a background for a website. I have one question , they want it as a vector image or saved as SVG. How can I achieve this without having a strange blur?
THANK YOU for not skipping any steps in this entire process. It is incredibly frustrating when a tutorial uses shortcut keys without mentioning them in the video. Even something as simple as switching layers that you are on can cause massive confusion if its skipped in the tutorial. You show everything!!!! I have watched hours of tutorials and you are one of the few who do tutorials in PS right! Sub well earned! Thank you again for this incredible video.
HOLY BALLS YOU ARE AMAZING! As someone who is new to digital art, your tutorial is amazing!!! You are a beautiful human being for sharing this magnificence!!
@@GeekTutorials1 ok, but the next thing is with making a new layer, whenever I try to do that, is went all the way back to the noise thingy, I don't know why
Thanks so much for the tutorial! This was the only one I could find that was actually helpful! Other videos used too many keyboard shortcuts that didn't work for my version so I appreciate this soooo mucchhhh! THANK YOU THANK YOU!
You made me an artist WOW! now i can make galaxy! yaayy. Why always the good ones don"t get famous scrolled all the videos they are soooooo gooooood! This man deserves more !
Thank you very much for creating this video. I enjoyed it and as many other people have mentioned thank you for taking simple steps and explaining everything clearly.
Yeah, the effect is not visible. A possible workaround: Create a solid color layer (white) and use the layer with the bigger stars as a mask. Now you can use the outer glow effect as intended .
very strange, all i did differently was diff dimension for canvas, didn't work with presenting background to black, just did paint bucket...wait, I think without gauss step it doesn't work
@@GeekTutorials1 it will work if you select objects that you gonna to apply that blending mode (in other tutorials about starfield, people use channels to get selection for stars). In that tutor it will not work - blending mode applying to whole layer (Black rectangle with stars inside), so only you rectangle will glow out
best tutorial I have ever listened to - no joke. THANK YOU
This tutorial is amazing!! Thank you so much :)
Nice! Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!

when you merge the layers doesn't that just completely remove the glow blend you added that wasnt yet affecting the image?
The clearest and easiest to follow tutorial i've ever seen. Thank you so much!
Where can I get the clouds pattern??? hmmm... so bad I don't have.
Im in 8bit RGB mode. I can not select cloud filter. Im trying to make a banner. Is the size an issue?

FOR SOME REASON I CAN USE THE PAINT BUCKET TOOL??? AND I SEE A CIRCLE WITH A LINE GOING THROUGH IT
My stars are multi-color. Did this happen to anyone else?
I'm so glad I found this! Finally someone who takes the time to explain every small step. Thank you ❤️

really nice. i love u
Love you 😍
Very clear & easy to understand. Thank you so much.
Hey, there! Can somebody tell me if this gonna work even if I have to print the art? Thanks!!!
When you set up a new document, make sure you use 300dpi for the resolution. It gets it ready for print.
Thank God, someone actually talked in their tutorial.
Thank you for this video!. I just put together my first ever universe background with the help of this tutorial and it looks amazing!
Thank you for this video
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I have been demonstrating as to create realistic details for movies & such.

I reckon! Should have over 3 million, right?!
Thanks now I can finally create my universe, I have alot of plans for my universe.
What plans do you have for your universe? Can I visit this place?
so all this is, is minpulating how the noise filter shows and adding some color and all
You have one of the best UA-cam usernames I've seen. Love it!
Absolutely brilliant tutorial and You've helped me create a background for a website. I have one question , they want it as a vector image or saved as SVG. How can I achieve this without having a strange blur?
You'll want to be using a program like Adobe Illustrator that is made to deal with vector images. Photoshop isn't really used for that
@@GeekTutorials1 Perfection, thanks so much!
Thank-you so much. Subbed immediately

Absolute legend. Liked and subscribed (I don't do that). Good pace, mate.

Resolution: 72 pixel/inch or 300 pixel/inch , wich is the best ???
72ppi if your image will be used on screens only. 300ppi if you plan on printing the image.
amazing and really simple to do , thanks for this wonderful tutorial :)

omg my savior ;-; i have been trying to study space but its so randomized its hard to understand but this helps so much!!!
I like this video and I was wondering how you can do long streaks of yellow sunlight? Can you also use gaussian blur for this as well?
Thank you so much!!!
Every time I need a galaxy texture I come back to this video. Thank you!
So like I dont have the clouds render filter :(
or the brushes that you have :((((
i got a problem in levels adjustment, whenever i click on ctrl L, nothing happens
To to Window menu and get your adjustments panel up. Then play with your levels from there
@@GeekTutorials1 ok, but the next thing is with making a new layer, whenever I try to do that, is went all the way back to the noise thingy, I don't know why
@@linedoltrainerchannelgammi2247 in your layers panel, you can drag the different layers around to adjust what's on top and what's underneath

thanks a lot!!!
I am very appreciate Thanksssss ^^
Fantastic tutorial mate very clear and simple to follow.
Glad it helped
most of these steps are transferrable to clip studio paint as well! When finding the layer order, go edit>tonal correction> layer.

This was awesome, is there a way to do this on clip studio paint?
I haven't heard of that app before, sorry.
@@GeekTutorials1 oh that's okay thank you though
Thank you for this! ❤

Amazing
This is the first video I have seen in which the tools are so much explained
Thank you very much for creating this video. I enjoyed it and as many other people have mentioned thank you for taking simple steps and explaining everything clearly.
You're very welcome!
An excellent tutorial that gets right to the point. I am so pleased with the outcome.
thx dude, really nice tutorial and final result. you helped me a lot
if the canvas size is huge (13k px) how can I make the noise more .. spread out , it works but only zoomed in
I've heard people are having issues at a bigger size - I'll investigate to try and work it out.
Thank you, this was very useful and easy to follow, cheers
the "color dodge" doesn't make the clouds disappear it just highlights some of the stars
thank you! this is very ,helpful!
This is such a solid tutorial. You are amazing! Thank you so much for your hard work. This is helping me a lot with my school projects!
Glad to be of assistance
This was brilliant thank you so much!
very nice, i liked it :3
u saved me UwU
How did you add the stare glow? Mine does not work
May God bless you for this aboslutely amazing video.
Hello!! Is there anyway you can create a tutorial for pastel galaxy!? I have tried changing the settings but not having any luck!
What's a pastel galaxy? Can you show me a photo of what you mean?
how does it come that in my filter page at render I only have 3 things I don't have cloud.... how can I fix this?
Interesting. What version of PS are you using?
Very well done. This is a game changer.
this is one of the best tutorial I've ever seen thank u so much for this 💕
Nice tutorial but the outer glow has really no effect. It will glow the whole layer. You can see that if you try the inner glow and increase the size.
Yeah, the effect is not visible. A possible workaround: Create a solid color layer (white) and use the layer with the bigger stars as a mask. Now you can use the outer glow effect as intended

Great tutorial.
thankou for the expert simple tutorial. i love to watch it
Thanks for this tutorial. Very helpful and straight forward.
i get your effect in levels at 2:35 in preview but hit ok then it doesn't apply
very strange, all i did differently was diff dimension for canvas, didn't work with presenting background to black, just did paint bucket...wait, I think without gauss step it doesn't work
Came out perfect, thank you. 😊
Amazing
Really easy to follow
Thank you so much!!!! You’re awesome!!!
nice tuto bro
I know i'm late but, why did you put a "outer glow" at 4:03 ? I can see the outer glow on your example at the beginning, but not on your result...
I don't think it'd matter too much if you included it or not. Try it out and just see what works best for you.
@@GeekTutorials1 it will work if you select objects that you gonna to apply that blending mode (in other tutorials about starfield, people use channels to get selection for stars).
