This was such a fun dress to make! It took about 4 hours, and then I dis assembled and used it for my gift wrapping haha! My friends and family are used to getting crinkled packages at this point!

I am hoping to make a teapot cosy out of some old polar fleece & quilter's cotton; upcycle, adapt,reuse, pragmatic comfort adding object)

I think if you had applied a lightweight fusible interfacing on the back of the wrapping papers, it would’ve prevented it from tearing and may have allowed you to mold it to a shape. Try it & let us know if that method works…. Your Motor City Fan…

Honestly I did love the black tissue paper skirt. But that one was safe. The gold is gorgeous. 🤩
This is why your were my favorite on Project Runway. You are so very clever and creative! I would have made fringe I think and they made like layers and layers of fringe for the skirt. But it would not have looked as good as this. No way.
When I was little (1965ish) my neighbor gave me three paper dresses to play in. I wish I'd been able to resist playing in them, they were really special!

Crushing the paper really did give it a more natural shape! Such a fun project and the end result is beautiful!
When I made a doll Christmas dress I attacked the beading and gemstone section, brought multiple ribbons in red gold and silver,ran over to the Christmas section brought multiple Christmas themed ribbon and got the same pattern in red and gold.
I had rinestones and hot glue already and the week after raiding the store I went back to get more gemstones and ribbon and any other decorative things I could add on to the dress
