That was epic and I wonder is this what chad discussed with Emma inside her house for an hour or more the day they were digging in the garden looking for the kids. I wonder is Emma the eldest? Strange he wrote a book on her and also it seemed Tammy couldn't even do her classes without Emma with her? Was that to keep track of his wife's every move? Tammy was doing her best to he healthy and attractive while it seems he had more than one affair. She was living in an impossible situation bread winner of the family while he was living a leisure lifestyle..she had no hope of every meeting his expectations when all along he was never good enough for her. True! The comments to others to deceive is clear. He told Emma about the mattress where he was likely sleeping separately. She said she had an account that her husband doesn't know about. I get separate accounts but I'd just keep someone else off the account unless there is clear distrust. Digging up kids while talking about lOWri and money. She doesn't love her own mom or empathy for life to display sadness?

Cross examination of this witness and his wife (Tammy’s sister) for me have been one of the strongest testimonies of this whole trial. They were very close to Chad and his family, they didn’t cower to John Priors cross examination tactics and Jason stood his ground and gave CLEAR FACTS the whole time. In addition to yesterday, his wife and Tammy’s sister delivered just as stony of a testimony. For me, Prior added nothing in the form of doubt for me, couldn’t discredit either witness and got nothing out of cross examination for the defense team.

Amen. I totally agree with every word of your comment. As well it appeared to me that after Samantha’s cross examination John Prior appeared a bit shaken. It was the first time I saw a witness (that at many times) gave an answer before he finished asking his question.
This is something Mr. Prior often did to witnesses, so much so that the Judge admonished him about it several times and even once to the Judge himself. It appeared to me to throw Prior off his game a little and that subsequently Prior appeared a bit tired, weary.
I think it is good today is Friday…Prior may need a break.

      @CodyTolman 23 дні тому

@@doreendaykin6693agreed, I think Prior has doubts about his defense strategy at this point. He’s been good about keeping Chad tied to all this but circumstantial evidence is starting to get pretty heavy. Physical may not be as strong although shotting a big raccoon and forensics never finding trace of one on the property implicates Chad to a degree by admission of shooting SOMETHING on June 9th. Then the evidence of burning, google searches for wind direction. Prosecution has done a stellar job of putting this case together and I think have a great strategy for all of this.
On another note, it must be hard for the judge in this case to be neutral having gone through and convicting Lori just last year. I feel as a whole, he has been very fair in decisions to overrule/sustain objections and glad he’s not let prior get away with much other than presenting his defense facts including admonishing Prior for his constant interruptions.

I think he completely nailed Chad by simply being honest. Interestingly..to me anyways, I think that this witness should be hailed as a hero by The LDS Church because Chad has brought incredible shame to the Church. Jason showed the opposite..180 degrees opposite…honesty, loyalty, decency, family-centered…the things I’m sure The LDS Church would much prefer to be associated with. Chad brought shame to religion in general…merely using it to further his lust for sex, money, and adulation.

One thing I find most interesting about the Daybell case is that Chad’s defense is to throw Lori under the bus as the aggressor and the manipulator however in her trial, she was so snowed that she wouldn’t allow her attorneys to speak negatively about Chad at all….just think that’s pretty telling. I do understand that these jurors aren’t allowed to be privy to that information but still it is very interesting. At the end of the day I feel that both Chad and Lori are evil individuals and what they did to their spouses and those babies is just heartbreaking. To take her kids...paints herself as the victim and says her kids are in danger from their father. The most chilling moment is when the police ask about how she got to her former in law's home and she points to a truck located down the street, in the dark and Alex is sitting quietly in the front seat. Brandon B. knew his kids were in danger. The officers told Melanie P. that she was trespassing, that they checked inside and all of her children were safe. She still wouldn't let up so finally they arrested her. Too bad others weren't arrested earlier. Especially Alex.

Mr. Gwilliam was a strong witness. He was there to give clear, correct testimony and he wasn’t going to allow anyone to smudge his credibility. I was struck by His indignation over Darkbell’s trying to impinge on his “responsibility for stewardship of my family”. Mr. Gwilliam takes his responsibility as a husband, father, relation, friend, human seriously and that is impressive.
12:57 .. Mr. Gwilliam looks over to Prior when he says “2013 to 2014” as if to thumb his nose at the objection for foundation re: timing. I gave Mr. Gwilliam a big thumbs UP for that.
Lauren Matthias of Hidden True Crime made a very good point about the Darkbell described his new wife, Lori Ryan. She commented that he sounded like he was describing livestock that he had acquired. I think Miss Lauren is correct .. that Darkbell looked at his woman as a possession.
One of my favorite parts was when Mrs. Gwilliam responded directly to Prior’s objection for foundation and said “Dec 13”. She wasn’t intimidated by him at all. I can’t imagine how hurt and angry she is. Praying God blesses her with comfort.

Instead of divorcing his wife m, he fell in lust with Lori and wanted a life with his Goddess and forget his past.
Then Samantha revealed what a loving and loyal woman Tammy was. She loved her life, family and work. She lived life to the full. She supported Chad in his hobby of a fictional writer both financially and administratively.
Instead of doing what most middle aged men who hit mid life crisis do, which is have an affair, he decides to build a cult to lead and remove anyone who stands in his way of being king of the hill.

I think Tammy's CO workers/friends, her sisters, Heather daybel, and of course, the specialists with all the phone pings data, are very important witnesses. ... Oh and also Kay, and Chad's brother in law Jason. .

Chad wasn't lying that Lori didn't have any children. He knew they were dead so she didn't have them anymore.

He's a goner! Throw away the key! He could have taken a plea & his money could have been given to his family! His ego is out of control still! Normal person would be ashamed of all this coming out!

I’ve been to La Jolla beach where he most like was talking about those rocks and unless he went at very specific times, it’s very unlikely he got slammed on those rocks enough for his back to be chewed up and that’s it. Those are big, sharp rocks, usually around sea lions, and big waves. Most areas where ppl get in the water are more sandy. You can get into Rocky stuff but bluffs kinda block the waves there. So it’s a weird story to begin with.

@@gretaworship1989 yeah I’ve snorkeled and kayaked and swam there many times. What I’m saying is if he’d have gotten slammed to where his back was tore up, he’d have gotten utterly rocked and been more jacked than a scraped up back. Especially being as tubby as he is. Overall my point was I think he’s BS’ing because out there with those rocks and “big waves” as in the testimony, you’re not just scraping your back, most likely and based off my experience. Or he slipped and got a little boo boo from a little fall somewhere up top or in the little cove on the left where the main beach part is with the ridiculously expensive lifeguard tower.

I wish they would show the picture of Chad digging a grave with Gloves on it would go far in explaining why there wasn't any DNA on the shovel. Also the Letter he received from Chad would have been great.

I’m an attorney and I completely agree w/you re this witness, and the case as a whole. Thankfully, Chad is methodically being walled in brick by brick. Both Jason and his wife Samantha were solid witnesses, and what’s interesting to me is how Chad’s kids aren’t communicating w/them. I wonder if the Daybell kids will ever wake up to the facts and logic being presented that their dad killed their mom. It’s just tragic. P.S. I don’t always agree w/you because sometimes you’re too pro-defense 😉.

It's not just that he married a new woman two weeks after burying his wife, but, that they planned this weeks before Tammy died.
All these deaths simply scream premeditation.
