I quit my job today. Boss lectured me three times during the day then told me my work wasn’t good enough at clock out time. I just walked .
How are things now?
Men need to seek marriage.
@dionajamison9878 marriage will only bring more problems.
Good for you Robert. Sounds like that place, and boss definitely wasn't for you.
@@atrain132hpe you find a better job
I "wanted" to start a business. But it was only for the money. What I truly want is to be a homemaker and have a simple life with my life partner, I am resetting my life as of today.
Success and business means nothing, living my life, enjoying the time God gave me is more important.
I am not going to waste that time doing what society says success means.
Thanks Tim for telling this to all the folks. I wish some had told me this 60 years ago. Paychecks are nothing but shackles to the common man, and woman.
It's true. They're never enough.
@@shiptj01 The new satanic age is coming.....
What would you have done differently if you could go back 60 years
@@realfreedom8932 well number 1. Never ever, ever get married. It's a trap. Second never believe that working somewhere for 20 years is security. 3 rd don t have kids. That's just my decision. I have seen way to many people's lives destroyed. As a results.. everyone has to make their own decisions

You know bro, I don't even want any of my old life back at all! I'm at the point of no return and just plan to completely burn all the bridges to my old life and just move forward regardless any uncertainties.
Same old one-side friendship , old beahviours , family problems society pressures ! I just want to regain my health and work towards the simple cabin Life a partner good if not Will prépare my quiet death Alone
I’m 27. From CA, currently been driving for UPS 5 years in Virginia Beach. I always loved hip hop and the producing side of it, just never tried to do it. Now I’m realizing the 9-5 life isn’t for me. Having to work 25 more years here to retire.
Three months ago I downloaded fl studio and learned how to make beats. It wasn’t EASY at all! It’s like going back to school, but I felt great doing it like I finally found my “purpose!”
I quit my $40 an hour job, moved to Las Vegas and started making money off my beats. Not making more than I did working UPS but I know that money is coming. It’s not even about the money, it’s about doing what I want and makes me happy. Hopefully this motivates someone, you should have a plan tho and execute.
Thank you for sharing your story Nomad! And good luck with the beats!
This is definitely inspiring. Your comment has encouraged me to purchase software so I can get my scripts in agents hands this upcoming year. Good luck with everything.
I love hip hop and have always wanted to produce. I was always interested in producer credits on my favorite albums. Much success to you.
My life changed for the better once I realized that I was constantly trying to compete in a rat-race.
Birth, K-12, College, work for 45 years, retire and be happy? Except retirement seldom ends with happiness. Most of the time it ends you up with a broken body, a lost relationship with your kids and spouse, prescription meds, and crisis of meaning.
I left the trucking industry in June 2020, right in the middle of the Covid pandemic. They took away my 13 unpaid vacation days and gave me 8. So naturally, I left! Life has never been better doing random jobs and things. I have plenty of time to be a good dad, good spouse, and live an amazing life.
The first part of changing your modern life, is finally realizing that you're living in a ZOO.
I changed my career at 38 with three kids. Now I’m a muralist, something I’ve wanted to do full-time since I was 17 but didn’t think it was possible for so long. It sounds silly but when I stopped doing other work and only said yes to painting, I finally became a full-time painter😅
That’s very inspirational mate. How did you do that?
Excellent video. I’m 65 now and for the first time feel completely free. No more ego, consumerism, chasing bad relationships, chasing money , seeking promotions , etc.
Wish I had felt this way at 18, but societies expectations drives most of us
Better late than never. Some people never figure it out. Enjoy the rest of your years feeling free. That's how God intended things to be.
Right on! It takes as long as it takes to get to where you're at now. Congrats!
growing up we're trained to value how it looks from the outside in and I think we only become true adults when (and if) we finally arrive at the conclusion that actually how our lives feel from the inside out is the true barometer of contentment and personal success.
Tell it!
I have restarted twice. Once at 26, and once at 38.both times i was in a lot of pain, but in the end it worked out so that my life was better than it was in my past life. Like you Tim i want to spread my wisdom. I've learned a lot through my setbacks, and it made me a lot stronger and i want to inspire those who have felt like they have no hope. I've been in the bottom of a bottomless pit, with absolutely no hope, and i was still able to get out of it and build a great life for myself. there is always a chance for a new beginning no matter how bad you have it.
Thanks for your inspiration. I'm restarting at 45. I've been trying my best to be positive but it is a challenge. There is a lot of bitterness and disappointment that I'm working through. Coincidentally I use to live at commerce & bittersweet.🤭
Great video Tim! I have struggled with jobs since I entered my 50's. Last year I quit a terrible job and loved my freedom. I got a job in July and ended up in San Jose for training. I was miserable though. The baloney dealing with a harsh manager and trainer became too much. Well I quit that job too. Right now, I'm not working and again, I love my freedom. I went to photography school in the 1980's and started taking photographs. I'm trying to figure out how to make a little income on it. Maybe at 57 I can finally do it.
You can do it!
Best of luck. Probably this can be done due to social media being so prevalent.
@Ama's World Thank you! I wish the very best for you too!!
@@mamanomusa-storyteller764 Thank you for your reply! I'm going to keep trying. I wish you the best! Life is good.

Thank you so much.. I was in a deep depression 3 weeks ago, and then I found your videos, started taking morning walks and decided to start changing my life. I now have a part time job that doesn't destroy my body and I'm having more fun in general
Glad my videos could help Jackie!
I recently packed up and moved from St. Louis to Denver. Long story short I’m now living in my car and am about to embark on one of the best adventures in my life. I felt bad at first with everyone telling me to come home. Then I cheered myself up and felt really good about it. Then I find your channel and this video and now I feel 1000x better about this life and exploration. Thank you
Good luck on your adventure!
I'm in St. Louis now, don come back, I plan on moving my family abroad. So stuck to it, remember our saying faces😁 up. If u can make it in the lou, then hunny,u can make it anywhere 💯. 😊
How is it going?
I’ve traveled many places… but I ❤ living in California. It’s something about this water that keeps me mentally strong. I’m sitting right now at the beach recharging my mentals 😊..Sometimes you have to choose your battles…. I rather pay more for the water/sun than a hospital or depression. Great video… Great views!
I'm glad you wrote this, as my childhood dream was oceanfront living. You're absolutely correct about the mental benefits of those waves. I've visited California several times, but eventually settled in Florida along the Atlantic coast. Nothing compares to living your dreams.
Same I am never leaving California! I live in SF and love it every day
I live in Florida and if I don’t see the water and green grass regularly I get depressed.
I finally decided to visit San Francisco 4 years ago. One thing I did was to walk on the Golden Gate Bridge. Then I visited Alcatraz, and then went shopping. I just took the leap of faith. I went alone and I really enjoyed it. I stayed for 5 days.
Watching this channel made me quit my well paid job after a relatively short period of working there. And honestly it felt good knowing that people didn't understand that decision. It reaffirmed my suspicion that i'm just not made to do what they do.
Now i work part time in a less demanding field, earning way less money, and i'm feeling so much better. Next step is to spend more time on the things i REALLY want to do.
Reading this was refreshing and inspiring. Good for you…we have the right to choose how we want to live our lives.
there's no $ amount for stress but I'm curious how people like you survive these days on part-time work? Most everyone I know working FT are barely scraping by
@@TM-173 First of all, i don't have children, no car and no other monumental expenses and am generally frugal.
Also i live in germany. You can get by working part time here. It's no way to prepare for old age financially, but it works well enough.
@@Gnarrkhaz ok that makes sense, I'm glad you can make it work for you and are feeling better since. I do believe societal/work expectations today can cause health issues and we all need to slow down where we can
@@Gnarrkhaz I envy Germany and other European countries for their work ethic and balance. I worked at ARRI for a little bit, but based in California. So being an American employee, none of the perks you'd get in Germany with 4-5 weeks vacation, yet still great people and treated well by the company. Maybe more U.S. companies are heading in a better direction with a min of 3 weeks off instead of freaking 2. I can only hope. And how about how some German companies forbid work emails and calls after work hours! Can we get that here in the U.S.? The Germans would always tell me that Americans are not working smarter, only harder and longer which is stupid because we are burned out.
This video came at perfect timing. I'm about to go on a reset in my current life now. I have not been living the life I have wanted to live for almost three years now. Sure I'm comfortable and paying the bills but I'm not thriving at all. I'm just surviving and I'm not growing as a person at all. I'm moving to a new state in a few weeks and planning on starting fresh. It is scary going into the unknown but I don't have much to lose. I'm 30 years old so it almost seems "late" for me to reestablish myself, but it never is too late.
Expect to live a long time and the 30 seems young!
30 is young lol
Oh man, yeah resetting at 30 is a great time. We severely underestimate the amount of life we have ahead of us... You've got 50+ years yet to experience this amazing life and see the parts of the world you want to see.
I have a work from home job that is super stressful. Every day I fantasize about quitting, but I'm not in a position financially to quit. My solution for right now is to schedule a car camping trip in the middle of the desert every month. I feel so at peace and one with everything when I'm out camping. One day, I hope to be able to work part time and go camping much more often.
Shout out to us remote workers for not only ending up with longer hours and less able to disconnect from work, but also calling in sick way less!
Been thinking more and more that I got to drastically change my life to see changes that I want
Starting my life over at 42.
I do reset every 2 years ....change and movement is good...great video for waking up those are still thinking about it...
My dude.. so much wisdom and such a great message. I've had to reset my life a few times and feeling another reset on the horizon. It can for sure be scary, the uncertainty of it, but what I've learned in my short 40 years on this planet is that everything works out best when you are honest with yourself on what you truly want, not what you THINK you want based on the lives of the people around you.
For the younger people reading this: What you want and need out of life right now will change so much as you grow, so don't beat yourself up over what you should be doing with your life. Do what feels right for you now, and know that when you start feeling the need for change that that is completely normal, and you CAN change. Listen to that tugging at your soul that there is more for you.
Tim, keep doing what you're doing. You're clearly on the right path for you in this moment. Great stuff.
Went through the darkest pit from a toxic relationship, threw all my stuff out and donated some. Hit rock bottom blown radiator everything late living in car. But knew I didn't want to live my old life driving a truck and slaving away hating life. Started new work, been working 3 Months everything working out and in a new direction. Hope all the best for everyone, just go for it, even if you have debt let it go, emotional well being over money!
Thanks for sharing you story Robert and those words of encouragement
You inspired me. I'm starting my life over to. Time for a change.
Such a wise man. You are helping me figure out my own life. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Thank you Tim for doing what you're doing, reminding us that trying to live life according to someone else's ideas is not living. I left my corporate job about 4 months ago because of the abusive environment, and although I am still trying to find a way to make money to live, I don't regret leaving, and I don't ever want to go back into a "traditional" 9-5 job again, my dream is to live free and make my living without being enslaved to a system and workplace that mistreats me. Keep up the videos and great work!
Thank you! I needed this message so badly!! I’m 38 and I’ve been teaching for 16 years. I’ve been so unhappy and more than burned out for 3 years. I’m frozen in fear because I’m so scared I’ll ruin my life by leaving teaching. Yet, I feel like the depression and anxiety I feel from teaching will kill me soon if I don’t quit. It’s just way too much! I love the kids more than anything, but I can’t handle the disrespect, hoops, micromanaging, and I feel like the whole system has changed. I really want to be an esthetician and reiki healer, and start my own business. I will have to cash out my PERA (teacher retirement) in order to do this. I’d really love any advice. 🙏🏻
U sound like me. I am burned out but still sticking around
Starla, I have shared my fear above, but wanted to encourage you in your desire to be a healer. I just have a sense that you will be good at that.
I too have been in a job that I feel is killing me daily; so much stress. Micromanaging and red tape, disrespect, etc. Similar to your situation. I will say, that a few years ago I left the job and moved to another state. While, it did not work out ultimately, there were lots of people who were put in my path on that venture, that served to help me tremendously. I have that experience to fall back on. God takes care of us in ways we can never imagine . . . . . . . .
This is an interesting recommendation. I have a boss, who doesn't like me (I'm a hard worker, but I'm not "friendly"), and he may have done something to have a reason to fire me. This happened, while I was off (has to do with attendance). I won't know, for sure, until I go in tonight. But we have a work app and I saw what he did. I don't like the job, but I work my ass off. Not to please him. It's for myself. It makes the time go by VERY fast. He's complimented me, many times, for my work ethic. I would always take them, in a nonchalant manner. Never really liked his energy and I don't want to be fake. Also, he can be very corporate. That helped me not take the compliments to heart. The situation I'm in now, is the perfect example as to why. Too much fake BS.
I’m in the same boat
I'm 49 and about to embark on a journey around the world. I have £80 to my name and am terrified of heights and open spaces. But I can no longer let money or my phobias get in the way of what of want to do, my time is running out but at least I still have some 😁 thanks bro ❤
Great message, Tim.
Unbeknownst to you, you helped me through the pandemic - thank you brother!
Watching this as I am preparing for Turkey Day knowing I have to work tomorrow no holidays off at my current job. Sick from exhaustion but not sure where to start. Beautiful background. Love your vids!!

Tim, listening to you is like going to church.... Damn, I learn so much from you!!!!
Sincerely, Thank You!!
Makes so much sense. Not sure why we complicate things and allow others to dictate what's best for us. Thanks again for keeping it real and keeping it simple.
You can't make society happy, so just do your own thing. It's something that's hard to start but I can't imagine how great it must feel... I can't imagine it yet anyways. It's important to push yourself into uncomfortable situations because if you're always comfortable, it means you're not really going anywhere.
I'm glad I found your video 😂 I lived on the streets for years. I found recovery. I'm a old hobo now. Living in a van. Life is like a road map. All roads take you some where , some paved , some dirt . It's spiritual. Where we been and what you've done is what made you who you are today. Hopefully for the good 😊 I agree. Peace ✌️☮️🇺🇲
Wild im just now discovering you. Been watching all kinds of nomad style videos recently bc I too had the same revelation just a few months ago. I'm 34, I quit my job, bought a topper for my truck bed and plan to doordash around America living out of my truck. So sick of the same old same old. Going back and forth between two boxes (home & work), one makes the money and the other takes the money..... what madness have they tricked me into?!? Jan 1st is my set sail date, leaving my lake rental I've had the last 8 years🥲. Plenty more lakes out there 🛻🏞🏕🌁

I’m restarting my life now, again, at 28 and am terrified. I’ve tried many times before, do well for a while, and then fall into a pit of despair and addiction again. And right now I’m so worried that it’s too late, that my best years and opportunities have passed me by. Terrified about the economy and the WEF taking over the country…all kinds of fear runs through my mind making me worry that time is simply out. If you have words of encouragement please help!
Hang in there and take baby steps. 🙏 For you.
You got this Matthew! I’m in the same boat, I’m 29 years old, and I’m resetting my life.

all these videos are great, for healthy ones. i'd love to see one from someone who is disabled and traveling the world solo. i'm legally blind and at the mercy of the idiocy that surrounds me. wish it were that simple.
I hear you. But just want to add that it is in fact a minority of people that have hobbies and an even smaller minority that have passions. Most people really don't have much going on other than family, work, and down time (most often wasted in front of the tv). The first often is or eventually becomes a reality one resigns oneself to; the second is often ungratifying, again if not initially then eventually; and the third just affords a chance to recuperate from the first two. For many, that's life.

Hustling right now to set the things in motion. Tough at the moment, but I've made some big strides this year.
Your words have resonated with me across many of your videos that I have been watching this year. I'm in almost the same situation as you once were: a "good" job, an apartment, even enough money that I can live fairly comfortably. But something is off. It feels like I've been successful at the life everyone else wanted and expected, but every day feels like more suffering than enjoyment.
I am almost the same age as you, and it feels like time is running out to go and do the things I really want to do. I have now taken the first steps towards a life reset. I gave notice at work, and over the next few months I'll be getting rid of a lot of my possessions and moving. Hoping to build my own home in the woods and get back to nature to heal. Thank you so much for the inspiration to finally stop worrying and just do it!
I’m so glad to hear that my videos could give you some inspiration, and that you’ve already started on your journey! Good luck my friend. That house in the woods sounds so peaceful. And thank you again for the support!

But I feel strongly I need to change the course of my life drastically. I was lost in those thoughts when the notification for your video popped up. I know what I want from my life, and I’m going to write it down now for clarity. And then I’ll manifest it. Your videos are a joy! Thank you. 💖

Excellent pep talk, Mr. Ward.
I have an adult son that should watch this. If I say it, it's meaningless.
The more I learn about the standard format for life, the more I realize it is not for me, and never has been. The one lesson my dad taught me while growing up was that living the normal 9 to 5 was a miserable life, he did this by example. I watched as he moved from one job to another, hating every last one of them. He was always miserable and complaining about work and how much he hated it, while at the same time trying to get me to follow suite and do the same thing he was doing. He retired at the age of 63, shortly after that he was diagnosed with cancer and passed a year later. On his death bed he told me he never got to realize his dreams. Years later, after certain responsibilities were no longer an issue and I am now only responsible for myself, I looked at where I was and asked. "Do I want to do this for the next 20 years and never really live a life of my own?" I really enjoyed what I was doing, but life is not a job, so I quit and have been working towards doing what I want to do. Purchased a vehicle I'd wanted since childhood and been fixing it up to travel in and see the world for the last year. Hopefully soon I will be on the road and seeing everything I've driven past, but never took the time to stop and see the sights and smell the roses.
I am actually in the process of a reset, myself.
Hey Tim! Thanks for this video. I've been watching your stuff for over a decade now(ever since your North Dakota oil field days) and it's been truly inspiring to watch you practice what you preach and strike out on your own to live life on your own terms. Well, now here it is 8 years later and you've got over 110 thousand subscribers on your UA-cam channel. I think that's incredible. You Keep On with Your Keeping On, Tim!
