This isn’t about money. This is about human labor being obsolete due to automation. People in power want to position themselves so they are in control of the machines. What happens to people who aren’t needed for work anymore? They become liabilities. The great reset is not a conspiracy theory.
You will own nothing and you will be happy. Life by subscription. Social credit. Trusted digital identity. Control the food and you control the people. I see all of this happening around us now. Eat bugs. Talking up the next pandemic. Land grabs. Have a look around, it's happening. Too much is not enough for these people with their climate agenda and rules for us but not for them. the great reset is not about money, its about control and to eliminate and kill/grid lock out those people that wont go along with it, when its in place the next step is to implement a global government where there are not borders or freedom, but its said, "Those who have nothing, have nothing to loose"
they still need someone to maintain the automation. And underpaying them, someone will sabotage the business. so eventually they will still opt for labor, not here, but from poorer countries.

Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.
Let's face it... buying more stocks & index funds during stock market corrections and bear markets is scary. Which makes it really hard to do for most people like me. I have 260k i want to transfer into an s&s isa but its hard to bite the bullet and do it.

So true. I work for the rich and wealthy and these people really live in a bubble and they do a good job by keeping the blinders on and not see or pay attention to anyone who is not them. Then boomers will come in and defend them, the ones who were fortunate to retire early with paid off homes and keep their pensions, and blame the rest of us for not doing better and say if we want better, we should start businesses and become rich like them. Everyone isn't going to be rich and not everyone wants to be rich, many of us just want to be able to earn an affordable living without being gouged for every cent we have.

Part of it is everyone trying to live in the same areas. If a business owner was smart, they’d find a way to start up in an area where RE is less expensive as well having fewer decent jobs. Bring in more, more lucrative jobs. Then the workers would still be able to afford housing.

In general very few people can break out of their born class, wealth often takes generations to build. Why don't you go to haiti or india and just tell people if you need live better just get rich, all you have to do is get rich why are you poor. For the majority to be rich there can be no jeff bezo's, Elon musks or bill gates in the world and there would need to be more equal distribution of wealth and that would still not put a dent in places outside america. Also the government would need to stop robbing people blind and world peace would need to be acheived so money was not spent on military anymore and a ton of changes would need to be made to the world that are unlikely to ever happen anytime soon. Do you even think, how does everyone just get rich? And before an answer would that also work if everyone was doing it, because explaining how someone can get rich is not the same as explaining how everyone can get rich.

However, the 1993 movie “Demolition Man” more accurately reflects how The Great Reset would look like if the World Economic Forum gets their way. At some point more money doesn't mean anything. It's simple. They see it as their planet and they want to decide who gets to stay.
IMO recession becomes a problem if your portfolio is going badly and at the same time, you're funding your life or retirement from there. Also problematic if it harms our kids in any way. Not everything is as bad for everyone. Some are smart, some are not and yea some are just unlucky. I was left with an inheritance of over a million$. So far, I've done my best to keep the money flowing, amassing around $120k every quarter from Alternative Investments. Not to be brash as I know everyone has their own different situations but it's also worth noting that most people who panic have poor money management skills and strategies.
You're doing really great for yourself. I'm in a similar situation to yours. Got a lump sum doing next to nothing in a savings account. This rate of inflation means I'm actually losing money. Such a shame when my buying power with $250k has fallen to $230k just in a matter of months.

I managed to work my way into Josephine Guevara Laporte's popular algotrading program. She's a renowned CFA. There are other similar options out there but consistency and smart diversification skills were the clinchers for me with Josephine.

Investments trade risk for income, and the problem is that the game is RIGGED. Remember when Hillary invested $1,000 in a mutual fund & had $100,000 six months later? At that time we had a stock investment club at work, and we all bought a variety of mutual funds after much research. A few years later we compiled results: most lost money, a few made a small profit. I'm convinced these funds simply transfer money from us little guys to the Ruling Class pockets. I'm retired & fairly well off, but almost none of it is thanks to "investments."

This was my focus and worry during 2020. I was not paying attention to COVID, the protests, and the rest of the noise. I stuck to investing and learning about finances and took full advantage of it. Today inflation is rising, we are on the brink of a recession and interest rates are rising.
Everyone thought the good times would last forever and I always questioned why is it so easy for people to miss the writing on the wall? I’ll never understand. I hope everyone makes it out of this economic downturn okay, realistically most people will be fucked over but it’s life. People are still spending the same way they did before and having almost no savings. College value has dropped, and everyone wherever you go just seem different. No one is happy and everyone is just trying to get by. At least that’s what I see.

I have learned a new (more realistic) view of the great reset theory. It is very frustrating to watch my (best) efforts to save & plan over a lifetime to live reasonably & retire independently without need. I made money in the 80s crash because with 6 kids, I could not afford to play the markets, so did not lose my savings.
The cold hard truth is that individuals and especially families have to hold to their personal boundaries and not allow organizations, politics, corporations etc. to browe beat them or try to shame them in to conforming to whatever happens to be on the menu today (culturally speaking) because the alternative is something I don't believe most people can barre.

Maybe the idea of a "Great Reset" comes from the fact that Klaus Schwab, chairman of the WEF, published a book titled, "The Great Reset," like 3 months after Covid hit. You talked about there being talk of this during previous crises, but I don't recall anyone saying "you'll own nothing and be happy" in the past.
