people can be sheep and i know family members who got married got a secure job bought a home and are unhappy and constantly need validation for there life choices. there always like look me and the life i made for my self but i see them sad and lonely and unhappy because they chose to live a life in a cage and they are way to judgmental about other people who are free and happy

150% One of my favourite sayings is "Observe the masses and do the opposite!" - you will get sh!t for it but it's worth it. I never went to university, started working straight out of school and now run my own business and have property (looking for property abroad as well!) follow the sheep and it's a sure way to fail!

I learned 'do the opposite' early on. When skiing I'd go in for lunch at 11:00 and there would be plenty of room & food, then I'd go back to the slopes at 12:00 and everyone else was going in. People are PROGRAMMED. Use that mindset to one's advantage.

Reverse thinking theory indicates that when 82-84% of the population is moving in one direction, you should move in the opposite direction. This 'thinking hat' can be applied to any activity, or subset of activities, from investments to getting lunch.

My poor co-workers come to work miserable everyday, barely can see their own kids, working 3-11 or 9-5 only having 8 days out of 31 days off, has of them dedicated to adult work. It's to the point that work is their life, they come to work make a big deal about little things like Maybe a pen is missing of their desk or some slight changes happened at their job. Lashing out at everyone, expecting everyone else to go above and beyond for the job because they have nothing.
I have managers pressuring me to work harder become a boss don't go part time, saying I'm being reckless. But I just want to find myself, have time for my boyfriend so I can decide if I want to marry him. I don't want to kill myself for a job, I don't want to feel trapped because "It's reality: "being miserable is apart of adult life" 😭😭 thanks for being someone to spread these messages, we don't have to be a slave to work. We can try to live!

After I left the Marines I started working a normal job again. After watching the older guys who have been working at my place for 15-20 years plus I secretly made up my mind.
    1. I cannot let the little kid in me die in at a factory job.
    2. I don’t want to waste 20 years or more of my life becoming pissed off that I wasted my young potential.
    3. I don’t want my 401k so I don’t contribute to it. I don’t want my 401k telling me when I should retire (65). Instead in invest in stocks.
    4. Coming from a Marine background I’m used to a team player work environment. In the civilian world it’s a “fxxx you, not my problem” mentality. It’s disgusting to see that.

I´ve always done what I want to do and what is best for me. Right now the best advice I have is to stop looking for a relationship. I´d always been in a relationship until 5 years ago for three decades I had a husband or a boyfriend. That´s when I realized that being single was my calling at the time. Try being single and proud of it. Not involved in any kind of sexual, romantic or live-in relationship. It´s amazing how much push back I get from society as I am a single female who people think should be attached. I am loving it and devote myself to god, to nature, to myself. It feels wonderful. I don´t know anyone who is in a relationship who is truly happy. I think the time has come for us to reach up to the energy of god.

It almost feels like I don’t know who I am or who I could be because I’ve always had company. It eats at me now more often.

This is so absolutely true! It is amazing to me how people judge a person for being different, even when the thing you are doing different has zero effect on them. I know for me it can be a mundane situation, like I don't eat much at all during breaks or lunch at work, and this triggers many questions and disapproval. It does seem if a person does not follow a norm it is upsetting. I believe if people can't get you into the heard mentality it is threatening , you are not conforming. Another, what you don't want 18 hours of mandatory overtime per week? Lol.

The second scariest thing is to realise that 80% of people were too ADHD to read the 1st thing to the end.

In High School I played running back on the football team, I had some trouble running one particular play, finally my coach came to me and said, cut it back against the grain, next time we ran the same play, I cut against the grain and came success. Fast forward 30 + years, that advice is still relevant and transitioned over into my personal life

Most people want the stability and routine of working weekdays, 9-5. It also has to do with 'running' a family. I wanna have no routine and work other hours and other days, whenever I want to for any amount of time I like to. Don't wanna be part of the herd or be active when the herd is. Hate mainstream but it never rewarded me that I wasn't following the herd either.

When I retired I had to get creative...had to get weird and unusual which is fine cuz I'm weird and unusual..found my happines out on the road working on big trucks and driving buses, despite having quite a bit of collegiate education when I left the military. I drive entertainer motorcoaches now and everyone wonders, " how did YOU get that job!?"😂

For most of my life I played by the rules and I didn't see it getting me anywhere. I went back to school and got another degree in a field that I knew and enjoyed. I video chatted with some folks from my classes and I came to find out that a lot of them didn't seem happy in the positions they are in. Their expressions made me realize that I was better off working towards doing what I brings we joy then going along with the program. Grant you I still work at the same job I had while attending school but it allows me some ounces of freedom to work on other things and not be weight down by work. Going against the grain is not easy but necessary if you want to create the life you want.

Amen to that. I certainly work 40 plus hours a week sometimes more, but I'm still a deadbeat according to my dad because my sister works less but is very successful. More me success just meant working harder for me and it was killing me. I still work for a living, but I'm done with this consumer driven society. Now I volunteer and invest in serving my church and helping others because when I help them, they also help me and that means so much more to me then money.

That title is what I have been doing since before the time I have real memories of. The people telling me to follow their instructions were miserable, had to work all day, had no agency in their own decision making, and lived for work and paying bills. So yeah, I always knew that going against them was the way uphill while society is spiraling downwards. Now I live "in poverty" in a forest cabin, and will use my old camper to move to my new place literally up the mountains in a sunnier climate. More space, more quiet, and a view from my terrace that is nothing but mountains and forest and the ocean just beyond that. Sure, getting groceries will take some time and effort with a big backpack and a BMX, but I plan on growing a fruit forest to live of myself, and a vegetable garden to cook for my pack of rescue dogs. Space a plenty :D

This is my favorite video of yours so far. I was just thinking about how everyone is trying to be an entrepreneur now, and feel a sense of dread about this. I think we know in our gut when things are not "right" yet the push to follow is hard to resist. Even with some of my closest friends who do give me valuable advice, I sometimes have to remember to ignore their advice and turn inside and follow the beat of my own drummer. I've had some very difficult struggles due to my own wiring of my brain and sometimes don't trust myself. Yet it is so true what you say. We have to learn to listen harder to our own inner voice. We all have wisdom whether we know it or not. Thanks so much for that reminder.

"The system isn't designed for you to succeed". Sad, crazy, upsetting...but completely true. It was at one point, I believe I was the last of the generations to actually "live" in that system. I'm 60, and I've done alright. But I don't know how the younger generations are going to make it. I really don't. Something has to give, but darn if I can tell what it's going to be. The Republicans and Democrats are in a fight, sucking the entire nation into it, and the only loser in the battle will be working americans.

I feel that anyone can be an entrepreneur but I don’t think it’s for everyone. I could see a time in the future when it’s touted as the ‘only way’ to make a living. Much like college and a corporate job is the norm now.

The Sub mind doesn’t speak English, but it speaks to us and we understand it 😮😮in our own language

(Unless it is actually a bad idea) If someone tells you that something is "stupid" or "doesn't work," that idea may take you the distance you wanted to travel in life (money, fulfillment, satisfaction, peace of mind, etc.). Besides, following the crowd generally leads to more depressive states compared to following your own rainbow, dreams, and desires.
Thank you, Timothy. I'm learning how to move around, be more flexible, and be nomadic in my mind, body, and spirit. Your content is so simple, yet somehow hits so hard. This is what I love to describe as "having a free spirit!"

"because they can't speak english". Wow, that is something I also think for a long time. I always wondered why my dreams are full of metaphors and allegories. Then I thought: "Maybe because the subconscious does not speak a language like we do but a language with images and associations..."

I stay fighting the herd to stay in my own Universe. Now that I know I am not the only one out here with this mentality I am completely breaking free from the hold of society.

Hello Mr . Timothy and everyone. Wow great Topic. I thought I was the only one doing the opposite of everyone else. Doing this for years …it’s rewarding!❤❤. Mr. Timothy the whole area you’re walking through is amazing. I know the whole area…..my Mom’s friend lives right off the Beach near that parking lot in a Gray & White House…..He’s a really cool Guy. I wish you could show us more around others at the Beach sure looks refreshing 👍🏿

In my life right now I’m just trying to figure out where God wants me 🤷‍♀️ and right now I just want to be close to him and work on my sobriety it’s what is more important mental health and my body and what I put into it. God wants me to focus on healing my body right now. So that’s that. Just kind of waiting on the next steps but also just taking action.

I wouldn't focus so much on what God wants, I'm not atheist but alot of people will try to use religion to controll people. If God gave me life, I assume he/she/they wants us to live it, enjoy it. Until he himself comes down and tells me himself I won't just believe anyone. God is good, so believe he wants you to be happy!

"Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed." - Terence McKenna
