Finally someone is reviewing this phone, who also knows how to shoot great photos! I looked through several reviews before this one. The reviewers all complained about the quality of the photos when ... they were just bad photographers, who couldnt setup the camera angles and functions properly. Love to see your photos! They really are an amazing display of your talent and also what the phone is capable of - in the right hands!

As a non Sony consumer looking in, I just have to say that you Sony appreciators in this comments section are a very intelligent and interesting and technically savvy lot, not like the rabid childish ranting fanboys and fangirls of other phone manufacturers. Respect to you all.👍
I've been using Sony phones for about 15 years now and love them. Getting the Xperia 1iii a few years ago got me in to photography, and I now use a DSLR. But I feel like my new Xperia 1V has replaced my lenses with a focal length under 70mm, it just feels so good.
Point and shoot really vastly improved. For people wanting this phone but dont know how to operate like an expert, well Sony packed this phone with a beautiful camera now.
Sony certainly needed to make the point and shoot abilities of the 1 V exceed those of any other of their devices to date. They seem to have achieved this, and I hope this device really sells well for them. And that people enjoy using it.
The shutter button is a really great feature and I hope other manufacturers will also adopt it! Smartphones definitely killed the compact camera market and major parts of entry/mid-level DSLM.

Hi Pierre, Wow, Wow, what a great Smartphone, Smart it is. Great how you can have the Vertical Interface, it's good for us viewers to enjoy the experience of Vertical, instead of Horizontal. I'd love to have a sony as a daily driver again but they're just not for me yet unfortunately.
@@mohda.9420 There were many small things. I couldn't get used to the aspect-ratio, the display-brightness outside felt kinda low although the specs suggest it's quite bright, the vibration motor/haptics felt very tiny/"buzzy" but no one talks about this in reviews....the stereo speakers were not bad in terms of imaging but they completely lacked any lows and were not as loud and clear as I was used to etc. And yes, the camera auto-mode is almost useless on this phone. Also the camera preview somehow looks absolutely horrible before you take the picture. The manual mode is awesome and is very close to what I'm used to from my A7III in terms of handling. However, I really wasn't satisfied with the jpeg quality compared to my Pixel and OnePlus with gcam port.
@LinusBender yeah I agree, I love Sony, but there are a few small things that may force me to look elsewhere for my next purchase if they haven't ironed them out I personally love the aspect ratio, but I agree the brightness is not good enough. Also, the phone randomly drops back to 60hz from time to time and needs me to reset it to 120hz in settings. But most annoying for me is that my fingerprint sensor has completely stopped working T.T

Makes me want to buy one and go on a trip
I would really really love to support sony and show them how much I appreciate them for keeping features like the SD-slot and the Aux-Port...but no matter how hard I tried in the past with previous models like the 5 III and the 1 III ...after just a few days I always want to go back to my Pixel or OnePlus. I'd love to have a sony as a daily driver again but they're just not for me yet unfortunately.
Interesting. I have a 5iii right now. Was it the auto mode on the camera that put you off? Or something else?
@LinusBender yeah I agree, I love Sony, but there are a few small things that may force me to look elsewhere for my next purchase if they haven't ironed them out
I personally love the aspect ratio, but I agree the brightness is not good enough. Also, the phone randomly drops back to 60hz from time to time and needs me to reset it to 120hz in settings. But most annoying for me is that my fingerprint sensor has completely stopped working T.T
@@mohda.9420 I agree with the fingerprint and I see is an issue with the Xperia mine is the Xperia 1
Problematic
Great phone, I am thinking about buyin it
How often did you use an ND filter?
Pierre, will you tell us what smartphone do you use on the daily basis?)
Can you make a cinematic pro video? I wanna see how video does
thank you
You should have used the brust mode for the wave shots
how is the full frame so sharp even though youre using lower aperture?
nice video, you just showed the best features of 1 mark v.
we all have ONR question
what is the max screen brightness ?
howany nets ?
Sony should definitely provide more android support like other manufacturers, else it's going to be tough for Sony, I hope they will do this for their upcoming phones.
