UDOH night vision only works when you have sufficient light I.E moon light.
chris becks not true. I have a night vision monocular myself that I can see in pitch dark I use for predator hunting. I can see perfectly with absolutely no light. They have infrared lights on them that you turn on when it gets really dark. Otherwise yes if you have ambient light you might not need the infrared light but they are built to be able to see in pitch darkness

Ross you are by far the best journalist I've ever seen. Always in on the action risking your life just as much as the men and women in uniform (not forgetting about your crew either). You let the words and actions of the men and women in ISAF do all the talking. There are only facts (Who, what, where, when, and why). Simply the best.
I agree
I do agree but on some other things he does dramatise a few thing but he is by far the best journalist in my eyes in these kinda situation
Watch on Netflix "only the dead"
Wouldn’t say he’s risking his life anywhere near as much as the soldiers (not saying he’s not risking his life) he doesn’t have to clear rooms, lead the patrol where your at the greatest risk of IED Strikes and when they do get in a contact he just has to keep his head down he doesn’t have expose himself to shoot back also he probably went for a month or two, not 6-12 month deployment
@@Key_highway You say this as if he is immune the the bullets. When shooting starts they shoot at him too.

2:15, cute doggo. I want to cuddle him.
kasper is such a nice dog
Hes probably dead today hate to say it but most the time when a dog is taken back from they're tour of duty un like soldiers they are put to death if they have even bit one person they are deemed a risk even though they're so highly trained you can tell that dog would never bite unless told too..
@@ScoobyShotU well thanks mr positive 😂
Myth 122 innit fuckin hell 🤣

That dog is dead even if he didn't die in combat they put them down after they serve usually no matter what because if they bite one person on there tour terrorist or not they are considered to dangerous I get that's a bomb smelling dog not a combat dog but you saw how he played with that soldier hes trained to bite two..

“Bravo six going dark”
Stay safe. Thank you for keeping everyone safe.
I served in the British Army for 7 years (1989 - 1996) and had the pleasure of serving in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a 6 month operational tour during the troubles, nice to get a little shout out that what we did there laid the foundations to how terrorism is dealt with all these years later. I have and always will have the greatest respect for our boys and girls that serve in our armed forces and our allies.
You murdered innocent men women and children and colluded with loyalist terrorists

Brits so much more professional and skillful than US
100%
Agreed
one of the pet peeves with the US army is someone lets a shoot of, they let loose with everything at their disposal wasting thousands and thousands of dollars and ammo
@@dawnbentham7167 people think they are the best military in the world but realistically anyone can join the us army and respect by all means any veteran but to beat the course to get in is not that much. They shoot anything that moves
Talking about the us army ^
I love those graphics. The 4k looks great but I think the gameplay is a bit slow sometimes and the Maps are way to big.

Ross you legend. I actually turned up to Randwick barracks in Australia to join the army in 2004, but I decided to not go ahead with it . Seeing this and all your other programs in this vein, I realise I would not have had the mental strength to do it. I hope you have chilled out these days Ross and found less dangerous reporting !. Hands down the most extreme & on the line reporting in the world I would say
Casper’s such a cute and good little doggo
Respect to Ross
Everybody ready to fight… casper just happy to be there
Ross looks like spetz-natz with that bandana on his head
seeing men put their lives on the line to allow us to live safely really makes me want to serve in the military at one point in my life
You piss your pants if u join, like the rest of your cowards friends
Its always a good thing to do, you can join the reserves if you don't have time to serve as a full time job. You will only be deployed once fully trained and when you have time to take off work/school and most employers will be fine with you taking time away if its for the military.
*Men, women and dogs!
I think what alerted the dogs was the high pitch noises the infa red creates, I remember my old history teacher talking about how guard dogs alerted their position on patrol in northern ireland due to them using infa red
I wonder if the teacher ever sees his students up town

I feel nervous when they let the dog search for something... i just dont want him to get shot
But a soldier doesn't get you nervous that at any stage one could be shot dead
I live in a part of the Philippines where people get shot, police get shot, civilians get shot, what makes you think it doesnt make me nervous when a person drop dead in the streets? Me giving empathy to the dog doesnt mean I dont care about human life. Keep your ignorant thoughts to yourself.

Also, something aboutbritish army and the way they employ their tactics is very interesting
Yeah, the L22 is issued to dog handlers
@@archerymidnight3422 good to know
It's not a carbine. He's just holding the weapon with his supporting hand near the front of the hand guard which makes it look shorter. Dog handlers are issued the same weapon as the rest of us.
That’s not a carbine, it’s the same as the other weapons systems.

Remember this is years old.
That dog is such a good boy, he should get a stick after every mission
a hard meatstick
My dog would end up peeing on the IED's
I really admire reporters who do this instead of siting in a office complaining about how we should be in the middle east
Sucks the dogs job is to detect i.e.d but i guess its better than a guy doing it 😕
They don’t blow up the dog, they use it to detect explosives and if it finds any it would normally let its trainer know by sitting down
They use dogs since they can smell and detect the IEDs before anyone (including the dog) steps on it.
