This is what nearly 20 years of wars does to a country. Most of the national army of Afghanistan looked 20-30 years old. They probably never even went to school cause during war nobody goes to school of other things that we do.
@@kzap70 Actually, Afghanistan has an illiteracy rate of 80-90% because of its extreme poverty, which is largely due to foreign relations with Pakistan (Pak and Taliban keep AFG poor so AFG has no choice but to rely on marijuana and opium as its major productions, of which the Taliban and Paki government reap all the reward).... The nomadic nature of much of its people also complicates things, and the radical islam mixed with a constant warring atmosphere since 1979 hinders overall education as well. Afghanistan was actually doing quite well for itself, culturally and economically speaking, up until the mid-1970's, when radical Islam and the Soviet Union both thought they should have Afghanistan... Ultimately, the US saw the Soviet-Afghan thing as a good way to totally fuck the USSR, and made a bad choice to side with radical Islam to "aid them in their struggle against Communism".... Admittedly, the radicals back then weren't as radical as they are now (or when we respectively took them out, etc), but it was still a not-great idea... Anyway, Afghanistan due to these factors has devolved to the state seen in this video, and it's kind of disgusting... In fact, according to locals, it's absolutely no different than under Taliban rule, once the Americans aren't watching... Life under the ANA/ANP/etc. is just like under the Taliban, except they're called the "Afghan National Police" and etc. now... Oh also, when that PB just walks off a day or two later and is never seen again? Yeah, that's stupid common with the native forces... They'll come in, they won't like someone or something, and they'll just fuck off out to nowhere, usually with their gear.... And you see how they took the barricade down and sold the motherfucker? Yeah, they do that shit all the time, too; absolutely no foresight. Either that, or they know they won't put up any sort of resistance, and instead just want the money for hash, opium, and pot seeds.....
This video shows exactly the reason why we left Afghanistan after twenty year's being there , you can not change a people's culture ,or the mentality of a people that don't want to change it themselves , We were shooting ourselves in the foot ,, Great video !

WelfareChrist yeah but if we leave them, the thing they are fighting against will win and lose a huge threat to every major country in the world having power and committing even more devastating terrorist acts
Part of my point was that the reason they are committing these acts of terror is because we are there in the first place, but looking back at the comment I guess I didn’t make that clear, suppose because I figured it was obvious which it is not.
That's not completely true. Osama bin laden literally said that 911 was a response to the presence of our bases in Israel and the middle east. Also wouldn't u want revenge on a country that dropped bombs s which inadvertently killed your family? It's not the whole reason but the idea that they just kill whoever's doesn't believe is bull, they tell u their reasons all the time we just don't listen.
We have a responsibility to take in refugees from those places which were destabilized by our reckless and short sighted foreign policy. Not a single act of terrorism in this country has ever been committed by a middle eastern refugee that we’ve taken in. We already vet them exhaustively.
This is so frustrating to watch.. Imagine undergoint bootcamp, years of training, watching friends die, missing your family.. Then getting the task to guide this bunch.. Lots of camels were swallowed I'm sure, no pun intended..
There is a saying in our country, it goes something like "(In most cases) the people's suffering is deserved based on their belief." You just can't help someone that is not willing to get help. And in most conflicts u have to realise the ones fighting the evil might just be as evil as the opponent, it's just that they happen to land on different sides, that's all, it's not always about a better future or human rights.
This has a terrible and special significance today, perhaps moreso than any other day. We should've learned these lessons by 2006. At least by 2011. You can't bring liberal, secular democracy to people who don't want it and can't function under it.

This is what nearly 20 years of wars does to a country. Most of the national army of Afghanistan looked 20-30 years old. They probably never even went to school cause during war nobody goes to school of other things that we do.
no doubt...inbread fucktards

@@ismail_2967 I don’t think you fully understood my reply. I was reinforcing the message. I was a US Soldier who came to realize these things years ago.
@@militustoica ah well I apologise for misunderstanding, and in that sense I do agree that a lawless land where people are used to death and corruption cannot just adopt democracy and freedom of speech etc the very next day. Besides I don’t think we as the west should’ve even gotten involved in Afghanistan. Billions of dollars went into the war (20 years) just for it to be undone in a week. Shameful 😔
@@ismail_2967 it was never about democracy it was about military contracts lol
You can hardly expect them to want it when your air force indiscriminately murders civilians with no repurcussions
The fact that we are literally having to teach them basic hygiene is absolutely ridiculous. The inhabitants of Afghanistan are not willing to fight for their own country so why should we?
We shouldn’t, but someone somewhere is getting paid, so here we are. I don’t like it either
They doesn't care bc it's not their fight, they didn't care about Taliban before America invaded them
Afghans wouldn't really care if Taliban fully takes over, as Taliban number has grown much more now than ever. It was never America's war, but you know, *PROFIT*
I think Trump should just make it part of the USA and get rid of all these idiots
Wrong... They're not willing to fight "against" their country
This aged extremely well.
All those people look like they won't survive hand to hand combat.
I agree, they look just like gamers and american atheists.
fonkymaster never heard that before
@@Milkbutter the fuck?
This is old.
thats why that whole area of the planet only really sees bombs and guerrilla warfare. theyre not soldier types, more like armed farmers.
"He's still a warrior ya know, and he deserves to be treated like one even in death."
The pain in that mans voice, I swear I can feel the pain in his voice when he spoke about that child.
Watching them waste our tax dollars on ammo and weapons is beyond irritating
Martin Rodriquez It's capitalism, someone is cashing in.
Blackworld, yep, that's why they're there. To use, waste, whatever.
Most have heard the saying, "All Wars Are Bankers' Wars"
@@A-rk3dn War in America is part of its capitalism. Wars aren't neccessary started on moral ground. War equals arm sales. Those who sell arms lobby politicians who are willing to start endless wars. It's capitalism, and every country practices a form of it. How many countries are occupied by Russia?
They are more importantly wasting SOILDERS!! To hell with the $ .....what about these MEN!?
+Dominic Challenger I agree
