I'm only looking for a modest 2bd apartment, but my focus is retirement. Unfortunately my cash is not in a state to buy at the moment.
I think you can still find a property in the villages around a big city. You could also try to apply for a loan to avoid even higher prices in the future. But the decision is yours, of course. If you need help, let me know.

I got some property in Cyprus back in 2008. It's definitely worth more now. Not that I'm selling as it's my permanent home. Nobody bothers me, Plenty of space and freedom.
2008 was probably one of the best times to invest into real estate. You made a good investment at the perfect time!

Absolutely. And the number of young and smart foreign people is just increasing. The country's economy is in a very good shape and the average education degree in Cyprus is very well above average in the EU.
