I have a 2006 and a 2019 Lincoln Navigator. My 06 has well over 200k miles and is a beast still. Finally got a newer one, and honestly I’m just as happy with my older one as I am With my newer one. I’ve had a lot of luxury vehicles in my life, (in SUVS bc we live in an area where you need four wheel or all wheel drive) and nothing beats the luxury of a Lincoln. Not only are they comfortable, buit they drive better. They are easier to handle. They are built stronger than other competitive SUVS in their class, which does make a huge difference. My 06 is quieter than my friends suburban, when we watch movies in mine compared to hers, my surround sound is better, and more importantly, when you step outside the vehicle, you cannot hear any sound coming from inside the car (whereas her suburban you could hear the base, etc). I will say I do hate how the Lincoln has a smaller trunk space than others. Overall, we just drove my newborn baby, and my 8 year old over 14 hours to the beach, and we took our 06 (because it has a drop down TV and my son was able to play Xbox) and it was very pleasant. My newborn and I, had the third row (I was able lay down and I’m 5’10 pretty comfortably) and my other son had the second row to himself. Another feature I will say I enjoy about the navigator is the 3rd row (second row captain seats recline) bc most SUVS with 3rd row can barely fit an 8 year old (mostly bc the spare tire is underneath the 3rd row in other vehicles, which causes tree floor to be elevated and in turn, when one sits, their knees nearly will hit. Their chin). I also enjoy the heated and COOLED leather seats! Most vehicles do not have the cooled feature. Lincoln always beats everyone when it comes to comfort. In essence, I would still prefer my 06 navy over a brand new SUV any day. I do enjoy my newer navigator, but i don’t enjoy the payments
“They didn’t ask me”…..classic but your taking my line……. I agree with you on the center stack looking like the added all the technology then realized they didn’t have a display unit. A extra shrapnel hazard during accident. Beside looking dangerous it looks tacky and unprofessional. They built the tablet around the instrument panel instead of the panel around the tablet.
As always, another awesome review. Keep it up. And yes, not everyone with kids drives an SUV or minivan so crossing over to sedans and trucks should definitely be on your to do list.
I’ve got the Navigator with the trunk extended. Not sure if I have a lemon, but it has constantly had electrical and engine issues. Also the cup holder space and front pockets for driver are not spacious enough. The purse pocket isn’t deep enough everything slides out of that pocket into the leg space of the passenger and driver. Also the cup holders in the second row are weak and are totally in the way of the person sitting in the middle seat of the bench. But everything else you stated is totally true.
You nailed this review! I have the bucket seats in the middle and the center console has better cup holders. My biggest complaint is the screen. It feels dated and doesn’t have a way to save favorite phone numbers when using Bluetooth. My other car is a Wrangler and I like the Jeep screen and set up better even though it’s much smaller. It’s truly the most comfortable and nice to drive vehicle.
Glad to know they updated the car seat set up. My parents have a 2017 and we put our 2 car seats in last week. Only 1 tether in the 3rd row which was the middle seat and impossible to install for forward facing. Thankfully I could get a good install for my read facing seat and put our FF kid in the second row. Captions chairs in middle so less options I'm sure because of that too.
I love my Navigator. We got the Captains Chairs in the 2nd row since my kid’s don’t need a car seat or booster anymore and they enjoy the space between them. It’s an amazing car and goes quickly with its 450 Horsepowers. Was looking at the Cadillac first but definitely liked this one better.
I felt like for the amount of Money, the Cadillac was a bit underwhelming on the inside. We were looking at the 2020. The new 2021 has a complete different interior now. But I still prefer the Lincoln.
Marvelous video. You kick butt. Anyways. V6 engine made this gas pump friendly. These types of trucks and EV vehicles are the future for us and our kids.
GLE, Porsche Cayenne, and Range Rover would be awesome. It would also be nice for a roundup review where you choose your favorite SUV or do head to heads.
I've got a Navigator. Front row console: I give it a knock and you actually demonstrated why. The opening is smallish and the tray a little large. Combined with its orientation you have to remove it to gain reasonable access. The Navigator isn't an F150, but you don't do this is in an F150. It's not a reason to not buy a Navigator, but this should be redesigned.
Good summary of the vehicle. I own a black 2021 Lincoln Navigator Reserve, with captain chairs in the middle row. The middle row console is huge, and contains two additional cupholders, which are at elbow height, so no need to reach down low. The rear gate also can be opened by waving your foot to either the left or right of the trailer hitch (i.e., in addition to the small buttons underneath the light bar). I test drove and examined the detailed reviews of the Navigator, BMW X7, and Mercedes GLS 580. IMHO (and the opinion of several motor magazines), the Navigator is the best luxury full-size SUV. It has more horsepower and torque, a faster 0 -60, much more storage, and more height. Yes, the BMW looks really nice inside, and the MBZ has a VR navigation system, but the Navigator has so much more.
I completely agree about the rear end, I don’t like it either and it makes it look older than it is, but I guess that is what they were going for. They were going for that retro Lincoln look from their older cars. The front end tho is beautiful.
I love your reviews!!! I am looking for a family hauler! Would love to see a Chevy Tahoe and/or Suburban, especially in comparison to their GMC counterparts! The Jeep Wagoneer has also been catching my eye lately!
You’re correct about that giant light bar across the back, wholly unnecessary afterthought. That area of the vehicle should be as elegant as the rest of it.
Yikes, $93k is more than I paid for my 2004 and 2012 Suburbans combined! Yes, it IS time for me to get another new one, but haven’t pulled the trigger because the ones I like are between 75 and 85. Both my old ones are still on the road and doing well with each well over 200,000 miles with the families that now own them.
I have a 2020 Mercedes GLS 450 I love love love my car! However my third row has no A:C vents. Currently pregnant with my fourth and my car would still be perfect to fit my new baby but no A/C makes it hard for my oldest son.
Porsche Cayenne next!!! PLEASE! I had a 2020 Macan but traded because my two in car seats were just too cramped. No trunk space. I really REALLY wanna see the Cayenne. And Kelly, I love love love your reviews! I literally watch one every single day so I need more 😂👏🏼
Love all your videos! Thanks for your real life parent perspective. Can you review the NEW 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L that is coming out this month? It is the new 3rd row Jeep.
Any chance you could review older navigators and Escalades 2015-2019. Used cars are hot right now so trying to see what would be the best fit. Also, love that you are going to tap in to more cars. Maybe do some “dad” cars lol 😁 Also, really hoping these car designers will start calling you for advice. You’re thinking exactly what all of us moms are thinking. Where are the sun shades in these big cars? 🙄
Fun fact… the person in the passenger seat or any other seat besides the driver cannot see the heads up display… even the ones peeking through the drivers door… you have to be the one sitting in the drivers seat
I actually just got one so far I am at 15.8mpg in the city stop go. Drove from Vegas to Salt Lake with 40mpg to go. You can program the back door to be opened with foot. Under the I opens the glass. For moms when you turn off the car it dings and reminds you to check rear occupants. Phone as a key is fabulous.
YAY! This was so helpful as we’re deciding between the Escalade & The Navigator. We’re expecting baby #3 and I’ve had in my head that we NEED captain seats! Can you explain why you love the bench so much? How can the big kid in the back get in & out quickly without having to remove the car seats in second row?!
She explains in other videos that when you place things in the trunk with a bench row you have something as a barrier to keep things from ur kids in case of an accident (e.g. stroller). Most are 60/40 split and so they pull forward in a similar fashion as the options with captain chairs (slide forward, car seat tilt).
I’m assuming you will have a infant with base and then a car seat? Is the middle child forward or rear facing? As for bench vs captain. 💯 bench!! thecarseatlady.com/bench-vs-captains-chairs/
We liked bench seats while our 3 kids had child seats - up to 8 yrs / 80 lbs at the time in NJ. When the kids moved to boosters with normal seat belts, they moved to the third row on the outsides while the youngest stayed in the middle of the middle row. We generally left the single middle row seat folded forward for them to get in and out of the 3rd row. Also, bench seat meant the grandparents would ride on the outside of the middle row if going out to dinner, etc. While the captains chairs look cool, the practicality of the bench in almost 18 years of Suburbans we owned always won the day as we were a family of 5 and always had 1 to 3 more people to regularly transport.
Whoop whoop! Oh yeah! I've been wanting to see your review on this one. Even thoughhhhh...$90K is no where in the budget for my growing family 🤭🤷🏾♀️, loved seeing this. And looking forward to some truck reviews. Thank you! And great job as always 👍🏾!
Ford/Lincoln needs to hire this woman. She is the worlds best Navigator/Expedition sales person.

“but they didn’t ask me” 😂😂😂 Love this tour abd car, Kelly! Really excellent review. Thank you!!
Lol that was such a mommy thing for her to say.
“They didn’t ask me”…..classic but your taking my line…….

We recently bought a navigator and it is heavenly! We have never loved a vehicle more. It’s a dream!

I love the mom energy 😂 . This is so relieving .

I've been watching some many cars reviews and I can't believe I just found your channel....amazing amazing reviews

What was the problem with the Cadillac ?

I got the Lincoln Corsiar and Love it!!

Absolutely can’t wait to see this car

Same thing with having to remove the console tray to access it in the 2021 expedition max. It’s really irritating. Love the car so much tho😍

Did you look at the Yukon Denali before deciding? If so, what was the deal breaker?
I completely agree about the rear end, I don’t like it either and it makes it look older than it is, but I guess that is what they were going for. They were going for that retro Lincoln look from their older cars. The front end tho is beautiful.
I love her freaking energy 😂

Great review, as usual! I would love to see a Ford Explorer review please.
Man that is absolutely gorgeous. Sadly it's well outside of our budget, but a low-mileage 3-year old unit coming off lease may be possible soon.
Hi Kelly, dad of 5 here and I would like to see a review on Chevy/GMC Conversion Van by Explorer (7 or 9 passenger)
You’re correct about that giant light bar across the back, wholly unnecessary afterthought. That area of the vehicle should be as elegant as the rest of it.

I am still debating if I should go with bench or captain for the 2nd row. Any suggestions?

I'm a mom of 2! Can you please do the Mercedes GLE 53 Coupe?! I'm also 5'11 and I would love to see your opinion on it. Thank you!!!!
Would love to see a comparison video between the navigator and expedition.
2021 Suburban!
The navigator was actually redesigned for the 2018 model year, not 2019!
Any chance you could review older navigators and Escalades 2015-2019. Used cars are hot right now so trying to see what would be the best fit. Also, love that you are going to tap in to more cars. Own one and the 2nd row console solves most of the 2nd row complaints stated.
You should tie the new Hyundai Tucson. Interior space beats out rav4 and crv. Hybrid would be best to test
Great review, Mom!
could you do a gle coupe/x6? I'm in love with them but I've heard they're awful for kids
Do you have a video on the GLS?
I actually just got one so far I am at 15.8mpg in the city stop go. Drove from Vegas to Salt Lake with 40mpg to go.

Any chance for a Tahoe, Suburban or Traverse review soon??? 🤞🏻
Please review 2021 Chevy suburban Z71 or RST

I'm in the same boat. #3 on the way. Wondering if I could fit all 3 carseats in the bench row. Two rear facing, one forward.
@@davidc8735 could you move the second row end seat with a convertible carseat and still get to the 3rd row?
I would like to see a review of the Tesla model X or Tesla model Y, both are 7 seat passengers and in a great price👍😉
She has it on her Instagram
Built in sunshades?
Maybe it's the lighting but the cargo space looks smaller than Yukon XL or Suburban
It is. I’ve tested all 3 of those 🤦🏼♀️
Is it smooth running over pot holes?
Whoop whoop! Oh yeah! I've been wanting to see your review on this one. Even thoughhhhh...$90K is no where in the budget for my growing family 🤭🤷🏾♀️, loved seeing this. And looking forward to some truck reviews. Thank you! And great job as always 👍🏾!

Literally brought the only cup I carry with me everywhere lol
