Have faith! Your precious baby is in heaven and THRIVING!!! My oldest child passed away at 8 days old due to a genetic disorder. I knew without doubt she was with Jesus. However, tbe same week I was asked by someone if she was baptized and I said no. They told me , oh no she won't get into heaven. I told them THE GOD I SERVE has my child with him. Since this time God showed me my daughter as a toddler in a vision !!! She was sitting in a little classroom in the heavenly kingdom. I immediately recognized her! She was looking directly at me with a big smile as the other children looked down at the table. This vision was the greatest gift, outside salvation, God has ever given me!!! I ask God if I can be blessed to care for the little ones when I get to our heavenly home! God blessed me with 5 more children ( now all grown) but we still yearn for the one lost. The same way Jesus feels losing one of us. It hurts his heart so much. He will always yearn for that one lost sheep even if he has 99 more!!

Great video. I found the transcript of this sermon and read it. My daughter Elizabeth who died in the womb during the 3rd trimester would of been 4 years old this past saturday. She has parents who miss her and love her as well as an older brother, a younger sister, and on the way a younger brother. But she is in great care with our Lord and we will see her in heaven some day.
I have a child severely disabled. This Bible verse was brought to my attention. Psalm 116 verse 6 God protects a simple-hearted note psalm 19: 7,the childlike, those whose understanding and judgment have not yet matured😮NIV
Hello fellow Mom...I have 2 that are disabled. They are both grown now. One is on the level of an 18 month old and the other about 6 years old. They both love worship music and one can tell you all about Jesus. Are they saved...Yep...They are as children that love simply to love.
Years ago I met a girl who was my age but something was different about her. She was extremely kind, patient and friendly. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and had a sense of justice and fun. She didn't curse, drink or do drugs. She liked innocent things. I really liked her and she loved God. Fast forward ten years and my daughter is just like her. I realized my friend had autism. And God blessed me with a daughter who has autism just like her! My daughter is sweet, kind, and loves Jesus. She always tries to do the right thing and she shuns what is evil. I also have a cousin with downs. She had a wonderful life and loves Church. She has a better social life than me. I'm blessed

Hi. It is sad that so many people believe that baptism is necessary for salvation. According to them it is not just Jesus that saves, but that Jesus + baptism = salvation. Whenever I hear this argument I just point them to the thief on the cross. He was not baptized, yet Jesus assured Him of his salvation. So sorry for your tremendous loss, but you can find comfort in knowing that you will one day meet up with your child. Kind regards, Leon

Very intriguing exposition of the topic of infant death. I am 69 years old. When I was in my mother's womb, I essentially was conceived because my mother had a miscarriage about 2 months prior. So I have a brother (or sister) in Heaven who I will one day meet.
All babies born in the womb that have died go to heaven they are innocent and know not right or wrong they belong to the lord one day I will see my two babies for the first time I look forward to that day. God bless you
That's absurd! You're letting your traditions (age of accountability) cloud your feelings. That's not biblical and should be abandoned. Because Scripture is silent on it we cannot put our emotions in its place. What we do know is that we are all born with the sin of Adam. And we do know the True and Living God is rich in mercy and grace. If He so chooses to save all children, He will. We do not know the answer to this, but we do know the age of accountability is a doctrine made up to soothe parents worry. Babies, no matter the age, are sinners in need of a Savior. Salvation is of God, and He would be just to let all of humanity suffer His wrath.
Anyone who says otherwise is demonic and coincidentally there are a lot of Calvinists and virtually every Catholic if the babies weren't baptised that would say that they arent. Calvinism in Catholicism is so close when you look at it because they're both based off of Augustine heavily.
Although I am sorry for your loss I am more worried about your understanding of just who you are. You are a created being just like every other 'creature' on this planet. You were created by God for a purpose, His purpose not your own. Yet here you are saying that you can't wait to hold your baby when you get to heaven. Again, sorry for your loss BUT... What about thanking and praising Jesus for paying your sin debt? Oh, that's secondary when we are ultimately in charge and we tell God what is right and what is wrong and what is important TO US. He MUST comply to MY wishes because "I" NAMED it and now "I" CLAIM it.
“But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:16
I think to say this verse teaches that all babies go to heaven is taking the verse out of context. All babies may in fact go to heaven, but proof of that isn't found in this verse. We often want to focus on the "for such is the kingdom of heaven," part of the verse, but often ignore the "don't forbid the children to come to Me" part. I've seen a couple interpretations of this verses: 1) this verse is speaking specifically about not discouraging children who desire to be saved from coming to Christ; and 2) the verse is speaking about all who desire to come to Christ must do so with a childlike trust/fatih and humility. But the verse doesn't teach that all children just automatically go to heaven.
This is a textbook case of how "Christians" twist the Bible to mean whatever they want it to mean. Now here is why Christ said that: "Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them(Luk. 18:15)."

@@Maga2024lul "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God the Son, God in the Flesh. David, when he remarked, concerning the "dead" baby, of his "go[ing] to [the baby], but [the baby] not return[ing] to [him]" (2 Samuel 12:23), spoke in the same vague referential manner that the spirit of Samuel did to Saul, and therefore cannot be thought to have meant any other place other than "the grave", "the after-life", or "Sheol". This is because, upon thoroughly analyzing the particulars of both circumstances, God clearly became Saul's "enemy" when He took His mercy from Saul and "departed from [him]", as the Word says, and therefore we know that Saul did not end up in the exact same place in the afterlife as Samuel did, much like the different placements of the beggar Lazarus and the rich man; and yet Samuel says to him, like David said of the child: "Tomorrow you and your sons will be with me", in response to which "Saul fell full length on the ground, and was dreadfully afraid because of the words of Samuel" (1 Samuel 28:15-20). So David's "going to [the dead baby]", and Saul and his sons "going to be with the deceased Samuel" cannot be taken to imply anything beyond merely the afterlife, having nothing to say concerning the salvation of the soul. Yet, looking at 1 Peter 3:18-20--"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the SPIRIT, BY WHOM ALSO HE WENT AND PREACHED TO THE SPIRITS IN PRISON, WHO FORMERLY WERE DISOBEDIENT, WHEN ONCE THE DIVINE LONGSUFFERING WAITED IN THE DAYS OF NOAH, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water."--It begs the question: If God could and did make a provision of the Gospel to the souls that died in the flood, even thousands of years after their deaths, on account of the fact, as seems to be the case, that they were unable to hear the good news during their natural lifetimes, then what restricts Him from doing likewise with the babies who have also been unable to receive and respond to the Gospel, that they, like men living, may have the opportunity to choose or reject God's offer for themselves?
@@user-gq3qw4jy7s No second chance for salvation after physical death. One opportunity to make that decision while alive on this planet. So Christ preaching to the souls in hell was not to bring them salvation.
Isaiah 7:16 talks about the age of accountability. Before the child reaches this stage to willingly refuse the evil and choose the good, he/she is believed to go to Heaven. A Case for Faith by Lee Strobel talked about this.
Short answer, YES! Babies who die go to Heaven. Just reference King David's son, whom the Lord had told David that the baby will die for David's actions with Bathsheba and Uriah. David said, after his baby son died, "He will not come to me, but I will go to him". And we all know that David went to Heaven. God cannot condemn a baby who has no knowledge of sin or was even able to sin. Even Jesus said, when the children came to him and he blessed them, that "such is the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 19:14)". If not, then I suppose Jesus would've said something like, "Get those sinful, Hell bound evil midgets away from me". Okay, I'm paraphrasing here, but you get my meaning.

I have a Tozer excerpt called "When Fish Catch the Fishermen" that says exactly that. Here it is. When Fish Catch the Fisherman A. W. Tozer History shows clearly enough that true spirituality has never at any time been the possession of the masses. In any given period since the fall of the human race, only a few persons ever discerned the right way or walked in God's law. God's truth has never been popular. Wherever Christianity becomes popular, it is not on its way to die--it has already died. Popular Judaism slew the prophets and crucified Christ. Popular Christianity killed the Reformers, jailed the Quakers and drove John Wesley into the streets. When it comes to religion, the crowds are always wrong. At any time there are a few who see, and the rest are blinded. To stand by the truth of God against the current religious vogue is always unpopular and may be downright dangerous. The historic church, while she was a hated minority group, had a moral power that made her terrible to evil and invincible before her foes. When the Roman masses, without change of heart, were made Christian by baptism, Christianity gained popularity and lost her spiritual glow. From there she went on to adopt the ways of Rome and to follow her pagan religions. The fish caught the fisherman, and what started out to be the conversion of Rome became finally the conversion of the church. From that ignominious captivity, the church has never been fully delivered.

For all those who love the truth: When we try to understend the Bible , beside the general formula: OBSERVATION- CORELATION - INTERPRETATION - APPLICATION, is of a tremendous help to consider: THE REDEMPTION PLAN OF GOD and THE CHARACTER OF GOD. Sometimes in life, we may not know or not remember exactly a passage from the Bible or the exact context, but if we truly know God, and His redemption plan, then we can be protected from heresies and errors. I believe that many people want this question answered because they elevate people, even children, above God. We even see the same mindset about animals in our culture today where animals are elevated as equal to humans. God is a righteous judge, and a loving Father, this is true. He will decide who enters in. Some are born as objects of mercy, and some are born as objects of wrath. It is not for us to decide. If the children of the believing are sanctified through their parents, then it would stand to reason that those who have parents that are unbelieving are not sanctified through their parents. I surrender all my opinions and thoughts about whether babies or any other person goes to heaven just because God is love…to Him alone. He will decide what is just and right, even if it’s not what we agree with. And if we are in Him, we will understand why when we see Him face-to-face.
Exactly and that’s why I cannot stand by people emphatically saying that certain people will go to heaven or won’t go to heaven. God is the only judge. He is the only one righteous, and the only one who decides who comes into the kingdom and who does not. All the scriptures that were cited do not emphatically say that all infants that die will go to heaven. It is wishful thinking because we can’t imagine it not being true. And I know that many many people would depart from believing in God, if that God was not letting every single infant into the kingdom of heaven. Our idea or perception of what is right is flawed. Only God will decide these things and he will be right in doing so. It is also wrong to call infants, innocent. We are all born with a sinful nature, even infants. God knows the life that they would live even to the very last day, and whether or not, they would accept him as their Lord. Why sit and worry about what happens to infants when most people don’t even have a handle on the gospel of Jesus Christ and obedience to it?
“What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.” Romans 9:14-18 NKJV
I'm a bit confused when Todd states that the babies have not yet accrued a sin debt. I see the sin debt as being charged to each man because of the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden. Paul states in Romans that nevertheless ( Romans 5:14 ) death reigned from Adam to Moses even after those who had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgressions. Therein lies my confusion. ❤
@@susanpillion3114 Romans 5:14. Death reigned ( sin/wages of sin = death ) from Adam to Moses EVEN after those that sinned NOT after the similitude ( likeness or guilty of the exact same sin, note * seeing as though Adam was the Federal Head of the creation)
@@kwnwhodat8959 in your original comment, you claimed to believe in the “sin debt” yet now you reject it? We can be children of wrath yet not accrue any actual sin debt before an age of accountability. Do you really believe that God would punish infants and toddlers for sins which they did not understand they were committing? That doesn’t sound like a solid understanding of God’s nature.
Something that has always comforted me is that Christ has born the fullness of our weakness, including the complete helplessness of being a baby who could do nothing for himself. He loves to show His might and glory through the weakest of us. What could be weaker than a tiny baby who cannot even speak or understand? For when we are weak, then He is strong.
Thank for making it clear to me. I wasn't aware of the scriptures involved on this topic. Next time I'm asked this, I can clearly articulate why they go to Heaven.
Those are all high and "comforting" words, but... as a mother who has buried an infant child, in all the pain, I will say, Go ahead and question why God would take your child from you, BUT... if you question whether or not your child is with God, you need to examine just who your god is... Not "comforting" words, but very true...
@@louisjaugustin8673 No one who has read the Bible says GOD is "fair"... GOD is Righteous, Holy, and Just. In HIS Justice, sin must be paid for. it is HIS love for the world that moved HIM to come in the flesh and pay the debt for the sin of the world. There is no such thing as "doesn't add up" in GOD's plan. As children of GOD we understand that we are not capable of knowing and understanding all GOD does. Just like a child is not capable of understanding all a parent does. This is why we study HIS Word and trust HIM, not what we see in the world and certainly not what the world says. 10 And not only this, but there was Rebekah also, when she had conceived twins by one man, our father Isaac; 11 for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God's purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, 12 it was said to her, "THE OLDER WILL SERVE THE YOUNGER." 13 Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." (Romans 9:10-13, NASB) Are we to believe that Esau was the only baby God ever hated? Who, by the way, God hated before incurring any "debt".
In August of 1970, my mother had a miscarriage at about the 2nd or 3rd month. The minister of the church she was going to told her that the baby was in Heaven because it had no sins. She taught me and my sister that ever since we were old enough to understand. We've believed that ever since, and *no one* has ever swayed us from that belief.
Great argument but I was waiting for you to quote Luke 18:16 "But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." I thought was going to be your zinger!
Another good one is James 4:17. "If anyone , then, knows the good they ought to do it, it is sin for them." This is applicable not just to infants, but to any child who is not yet of an age to know right from wrong, they are innocent in God's eyes.
@@davidmcgrath6507 The Bible doesn't say this anywhere. It is just another false, unbiblical tradition of evangelicalism. And the truly crazy part is, they will act like you're ignorant if you don't take their word for it. Everyone's response should be the question you asked: "where did the Father say this?".
It has seemed to me that these who die so young would be damned if it weren't for one thing. The provision that God has made at Calvary is strong! As written in the 18th chapter of the Revelation vs8, "For the Lord God... is strong!" That provision, which is SO magnificent, surely covers these little ones.
Yall should look up John Macarthur's preaching about this subject. He did a great amount of study to answer this question. Its quite thorough and informative. Its all about condition, not age.
Mark 10:15. In this chapter, Jesus talks about and adores little children giving us a clear picture of how much God loves our children and welcomes them into heaven. I feel this is why the enemy tries so hard to attack our children, because of how views them as pure and innocent.

I think if the babies who are murdered. 🥺 my heart had been so weak and the night before I had like heart attack symptoms but I think it was just sever anxiety. Learning more about heaven and end times it gives me so much comfort. Oh and how much I wish to spread the gospel.
so hard when we have anxiety & nightmares. I hope you feel better! we can know Bible verses to help us & do our best to cast all our cares, but we also know thru the Word that God's beloved people suffered from these same anxieties. God grant you peace.
Infants have no capability to repent or believe or trust & obey & God is just & fair. When an infant/child/youth grows, ages, matures to the point where now accountable for choices they make, actions they commit, to believe or not believe God, to receive or reject the salvation offered, then it becomes "whoosoever believes in Him shall never perish."
I don’t think it is so much about an infant but mental capacity, whether it be an infant or mentally handicapped older person. I think this is alluded to in Romans 1. I’m not convinced it’s an automatic ticket but the Spurgeon sermon I read pointed out this is one area with which we should not probe too deep and rely on God’s grace.
I've read about age 13 and about the same age Jewish boys are bar mitzvahed. But that seems rather old to me since children that age, especially today, will have an understanding of right and wrong and sin. It's a mystery, to be sure.
On a similar note, I'd like to hear your thoughts on salvation prospects for Jews who openly reject Jesus. How many animal sacrifices have been happening lately? Where is the Levitical genealogy of the priesthood? Why didn't Jesus discuss alternate salvation paths for Jews who rejected him? If these people hate my king, why should I hold them in high esteem?
It’s clear. If they are Jews outwardly but not inwardly, they are not God’s people. If they reject our Christ, they are not of God. Those who are born of God recognize Jesus as the way, the truth and the life. We should NOT hold them in high esteem, since they are not of us. We pray for the salvation though
Thats not a similar note at all you just want to bring up a totally different topic that you're personally concerned with for whatever reason...wonder why that could be
I have been contemplating this question since I attended a funeral of a child who only lived a few days. The person speaking said without a doubt their child was in heaven. I know that all man from the seed of Adam are born in sin. If that was the case, and we also know that is the power of the Gospel that saves, which babies can’t understand. Reading through literature and watching videos I was quite discouraged to see this issue being spoken about from a very emotional minded perspective vs. here is the scripture, and even then scripture mentioned was vague. However Ezekiel 16:21 is a very compelling verse. This is God speaking to Jerusalem who had sacrificed their children like the pagans and God is calling those sacrificed “my children” also could be translated “Child of God”. This verse definitely gives me an answer to my question about the sensitive subject. I only want to believe what God has said and not what I prefer or expect from him. He is the one who determines right and wrong, good and evil, and if children did not go to heaven then our conclusion would be that he is still love and kind and compassionate and just. Thanks for this video. :)
Athenian philosopher Aristides words to the Emperor Hadrian regarding the early Christians I found of interest; "And when a child is born to them, they praise God, and if again it chances to die in its infancy, they praise God mightily, as for one who has passed through the world without sins."
John MacArthur People often wonder about the eternal destiny of the unborn, babies, and those unable to intellectually understand the gospel. That question is a difficult one. Unfortunately, the Bible offers us no explicit answer. However, based on several passages, as well as an understanding of God's character and His dealings with men, we can develop a good idea of how He works in such situations. Second Samuel 12:23 is one of the passages often quoted to imply that babies go to heaven. Though the verse doesn't explicitly say that, David clearly does expect to one day be reunited with his departed child. Since we know David is a believer whose destiny was heaven, we can infer that his hope of reunion means he expected his child to be in heaven. Thus, 2 Samuel 12:23 suggests strong evidence for a heavenly destiny of the unborn and children who die young. If this were all we had to support our position, it would be admittedly less than stalwart. However, there are other evidences that point us to the same conclusion. First, the Bible clearly teaches that God cares deeply for children. Passages like Matthew 18:1-6 and 19:13-15 affirm the Lord's love for them. Those verses don't state that children go to heaven, but they do show God's heart toward children. He created and cares for children, and beyond that, He always accomplishes His perfect will in every circumstance. The psalmist reminds us that God is "full of compassion and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth" (Ps. 86:15). He is the God who became flesh that He might carry our sins away by His death on the cross (2 Cor. 5:21). He is the God who will comfort Christians in heaven, for "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain" (Rev. 21:4). We can be assured that God will do what is right and loving because He is the standard of rightness and love. Those considerations alone seem to be evidence enough of God's particular, electing love shown to the unborn and those who die young. However, another point may be helpful in answering this question. While infants and children have neither sensed their personal sin and need for salvation nor placed their faith in Christ, Scripture teaches that condemnation is based on the clear rejection of God's revelation--whether general or specific--not simple ignorance of it (Luke 10:16; John 12:48; 1 Thess. 4:8). Can we definitely say that the unborn and young children have comprehended the truth displayed by God's general revelation that renders them "without excuse" (Rom. 1:18-20)? They will be judged according to the light they received. Scripture is clear that children and the unborn have original sin--including both the propensity to sin as well as the inherent guilt of original sin. But could it be that somehow Christ's atonement did pay for the guilt for these helpless ones throughout all time? Yes, and therefore it is a credible assumption that a child who dies at an age too young to have made a conscious, willful rejection of Jesus Christ will be taken to be with the Lord. For a tender and encouraging treatment of this sensitive subject, see John's book Safe in the Arms of God.
In the Book of Deuteronomy, when God said to the Israelites who rebelled against him, that they would not go into the promised land, including Moses. However he allowed some to go, and those that were allowed to go were Joshua and the children of the Israelites. This is what God said about the children: Deuteronomy 1:39 "And the little ones that you said would be taken captive, your children who do not yet know good from bad, they will enter the land. I will give to them and they will take posession of it." Now based on this verse we can glean that if someone is still not old enough to know right from wrong, surely God doesn't hold that against them, therefore they will be able to enter into heaven just as God allowed the children to enter the promised land. How much more so for babies! Do we think God doesn't allow them into heaven? Surely not!
There is no biblical justification for the theory that babies go to heaven when they die. Those who say there is must commit eisegesis. To be fair, there is no biblical justification that they are in hell either. In other words, the Bible is silent on this topic. Since the Bible is silent, we should not speculate on the matter just to make people feel better. All we can say that babies who die are in the Lord's hands and that God is perfectly good and perfectly just so whatever He does with babies who die will be perfectly good and perfectly just. That's the best answer we can give to a grieving parent who lost their child.
@@QuietlyContemplating *"I shall go to him, but he will not return to me."* Go where? David was going to join his son in the grave. His son was not in heaven. "Behold, I was SHAPEN IN INIQUITY; and in sin did my mother conceive me" (Psalm 51:5). Yet, looking at 1 Peter 3:18-20--"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the SPIRIT, BY WHOM ALSO HE WENT AND PREACHED TO THE SPIRITS IN PRISON, WHO FORMERLY WERE DISOBEDIENT, WHEN ONCE THE DIVINE LONGSUFFERING WAITED IN THE DAYS OF NOAH, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water." --it would appear that God, having made provision of the Gospel, during the death of Christ, for the souls that died around or in the flood, even thousands of years after they had died, and doing this on account of them having not gotten the chance to hear it in their lifetimes, as seems to be the case--it would appear conclusive, then, that just because a little child/toddler/infant dies does not mean that they automatically perish or get saved, but rather that God will have the Gospel preached even to their disembodied souls that they may choose or reject Him for themselves before the day of judgement.
A tear before I received Jesus as my Savior I got my girlfriend pregnant. She made the decision to get an abortion. I went with her to the clinic. I was so embarrassed and guilt ridden. Wait a minute; you misquoted Jonah 4:11. I also feel the same as you about this topic, but which version did you use that says 120 "children"? All the versions that I checked says humans and people or children of man; which I believe simply means mankind.
I believe what God was saying there; was that he would not destroy the person of Nineveh in their lack of knowledge. But, the 120 000 is not only kids, but a very large amount of them, if not them all, who did not know God.

This was a relief to watch! I was watching a debate with a calvinist and atheist where the calvinist said babies would go to hell based on the sins they *would have* committed. For example, if Hitler would’ve died as a baby, he would’ve gone to hell based on what he would’ve done if he lived. The atheist (who’d lost a baby) scoffed and tuned out anything else regarding the Bible. It was disheartening to watch.

I have a couple questions. According to classical reformation theology, aren’t babies personally guilty of Adam’s sin? So they don’t need to accrue their own sin debt, they are guilty regardless. Isn’t is also the classical reformation position that concupiscence is sin and therefore infants are guilty of sin? Or am I misunderstanding this as well? Thank you for your clarifications 🙏

I agree with the conclusion that babies go to heaven, but this is not consistent with the Catholic and Calvinist idea which suggests that all humans inherit the original sin of Adam, and we are all born spiritually dead. If we are born sinners, how can God accept a sinner baby into heaven? One of Todd’s main arguments is just “God wouldn’t do that.”

@@ctswag4204 so do you think Adam didn’t have a sinful nature until he sinned? He wasn’t born with a sinful nature, yet he sinned, and so all the rest of us have a different human nature than Adam? Adam and Eve had free will and so do we.
@@rh9626 I think "free will" in the way it's commonly understood isn't real. There isn't a single maverick molecule in all of God's creation. I think you have the ability to choose sin before being saved, but you can't choose righteousness before the Holy Spirit sanctifies you and enables you to live as God wants you to. Nobody chooses God. Nobody is righteous. Only God can bring abundant life to the spritually dead.
What about us being born with a sinful nature no matter what age? Aren't we are deserving of Gods wrath, don't we all fall short of the Glory of God? Im just confused because if we say well babies don't know right from wrong, they haven't sinned yet, how do we reconcile that we are all born with a sinful nature?
True, all are born in sin, Adam being the head of the fallen human race. Cute as they are, babies soon begin to show this sin nature, but they are not consciously sinning, just acting instinctively. This is why parents need to teach them right from wrong. If they become of age and understanding, but continue to manifest the sinful nature, then they are committing sins for which they are accountable to God. It is at this point that they go through the wide gate on the broad way to destruction. God will not admit sinners into heaven still capable of sinning, so a change must come about. Thankfully, because of Christ's death, sins can be forgiven, because "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" 1 Cor. 15:3. Babies have not sinned, and therefore do not need that forgiveness. The rest of us have sinned, and many of us have found that forgiveness. God has justified the repentant sinner, and he is just in doing so, because Christ has taken our place. But that still leave the problem of the sin nature, as distinct from sins plural. This nature is in babies, it's in the unbeliever, it's even still in the believer. Does that bar entry into heaven for babies (or believers, for that matter)? No! While sins can be forgiven, sin is not forgiven, but it is judged, whether in the perfect, sinless Christ as our substitute at Calvary, or in the unrepentant unbeliever who will be cast into hell. Christ did not only die for sins, he also died for sin: "Thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin" Is. 53:10; "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" John 1:29, etc. That means that believers can and will be changed, given a new body without sin (1 Cor. 15:50-53), and God is righteous and uncompromised in doing so. He will do the same for babies who die in infancy.
@bobberry655 thanks for your reply and take. I always struggled with this question because I find it hard to believe that a baby for example that dies in a miscarriage or a newborn not making it past 2 weeks would be sent to hell by God. I still at times struggle to really comprehend it since the Bible is crystal clear that we are all born into sin regardless of understanding of it and other interpretations are just ultimately opinion. However, isn't there a Bible verse that mentions David talking about his deceased son and that he will go to him in 2 Samuel? That seems to be an indication that infants go to heaven.
@@wwfera00 We know the character of God, and how inconsistent it would be with his character to send babies to hell. Yes, David took great comfort that he would be with and see his son again. Our bodies and appearance will be very different from what they are now - Philippians 3:21, but we will all know each other. I suppose that babies will be given bodies which are mature in appearance, but the Bible doesn't satisfy all our questions!

Baby baptism isnt biblical as Catholics to believe are false
Hi. It is sad that so many people believe that baptism is necessary for salvation. According to them it is not just Jesus that saves, but that Jesus + baptism = salvation. Whenever I hear this argument I just point them to the thief on the cross. He was not baptized, yet Jesus assured Him of his salvation.

“But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.”
Luke 18:16

Yes, David eventually joined that child in the grave. David was in no way saying the child was in Heaven.
@@user-gq3qw4jy7s No second chance for salvation after physical death. One opportunity to make that decision while alive on this planet. So Christ preaching to the souls in hell was not to bring them salvation.
thank you Todd for talking about this tender subject. Youre a very special man Todd Friel. Keep up the good work...
Isaiah 7:16 talks about the age of accountability. Before the child reaches this stage to willingly refuse the evil and choose the good, he/she is believed to go to Heaven. A Case for Faith by Lee Strobel talked about this.
I believe that this applies also the the aborted.

History shows clearly enough that true spirituality has never at any time been the possession of the masses.

For all those who love the truth:
When we try to understend the Bible , beside the general formula: OBSERVATION- CORELATION - INTERPRETATION - APPLICATION, is of a tremendous help to consider:
THE REDEMPTION PLAN OF GOD and THE CHARACTER OF GOD.
Sometimes in life, we may not know or not remember exactly a passage from the Bible or the exact context, but if we truly know God, and His redemption plan, then we can be protected from heresies and errors.
May all christians in the world increase in the knowledge of God!
Greetings from Romania, and thank you for your love and healthy theachings!

As Christians it doesn't matter what you think if you can't support the idea woth scripture.
For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.”

I'm a bit confused when Todd states that the babies have not yet accrued a sin debt. I see the sin debt as being charged to each man because of the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden. Paul states in Romans that nevertheless
( Romans 5:14 ) death reigned from Adam to Moses even after those who had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgressions. Therein lies my confusion. ❤

Beyond the shadow of a doubt! ❤

It doesn't.
Those are all high and "comforting" words, but... as a mother who has buried an infant child, in all the pain, I will say, Go ahead and question why God would take your child from you, BUT... if you question whether or not your child is with God, you need to examine just who your god is...
Not "comforting" words, but very true...

There is no such thing as "doesn't add up" in GOD's plan. As children of GOD we understand that we are not capable of knowing and understanding all GOD does. Just like a child is not capable of understanding all a parent does.

In August of 1970, my mother had a miscarriage at about the 2nd or 3rd month. The minister of the church she was going to told her that the baby was in Heaven because it had no sins. Related question: Once you cease to become an infant, do you suddenly lose salvation?
What about children - ages 2+? What is the age of reason, and does our info come from the Bible? I think and pray about this a lot.

Threw me for a loop when the first word of the video is "NO!" lol
Athenian philosopher Aristides words to the Emperor Hadrian regarding the early Christians I found of interest;

People often wonder about the eternal destiny of the unborn, babies, and those unable to intellectually understand the gospel.
This is what God said about the children:
Deuteronomy 1:39
"And the little ones that you said would be taken captive, your children who do not yet know good from bad, they will enter the land. I will give to them and they will take posession of it."
Now based on this verse we can glean that if someone is still not old enough to know right from wrong, surely God doesn't hold that against them, therefore they will be able to enter into heaven just as God allowed the children to enter the promised land. How much more so for babies! Do we think God doesn't allow them into heaven? Surely not!
But Jesus said, "Permit the little children, and do not forbid them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens."
Matt 19:14
There is no biblical justification for the theory that babies go to heaven when they die. Those who say there is must commit eisegesis. To be fair, there is no biblical justification that they are in hell either. In other words, the Bible is silent on this topic. Since the Bible is silent, we should not speculate on the matter just to make people feel better. All we can say that babies who die are in the Lord's hands and that God is perfectly good and perfectly just so whatever He does with babies who die will be perfectly good and perfectly just. That's the best answer we can give to a grieving parent who lost their child.

"Only if they're predestined" is the only doctrine compatible with calvinism
Psalm 51:5 - Even David himself was not just born in sin, but conceived in sin. God is fully loving and fully just. It is enough to know that his determination, whatever it is, always is right. And, yes, I have lost a child.
What about the children and babies from evil nations who were killed by the Israelites?
2 Samuel 12:23 also speaks to this, that all babies go to heaven.
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
1Cor7:14
I will never buy into justification by death. It has hideous, terrifying connotations.
Every one of these an inference. I want to believe that all children go to heaven but none of these vague possibilities convince me.
You have little faith
But Jesus said, "Permit the little children, and do not forbid them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens."
Matt 19:14
Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven, their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.
Matt 18:10
@@davidgodoy826 It's not about lacking faith. Ppl who say that dead babies go to Heaven just want ppl to take their word for it, even though the Bible clearly states that Christians ought to test EVERY doctrine against scripture. That doctrine is clearly not preached or implied anywhere, therefore it is false.
Todd doesn't even show any proof he's probably just saying that so he can justify his god being fair!
Father of Creation Father of Resurrection. Cross of the Creators Christ, I David unite us we.
I don't understand why the enemy pushes murder through abortion other than having the mothers commit murder against God.
So good !!
Deuteronomy 24:16 KJV
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
We don't inherit a sin debt from Adam, we inherit a sin nature from Adam.
the baby non responsive is one of His Elect- may we always remember His Grace my brother.
@@ctswag4204 yes, we do , which is why Christ was to come as the second Adam undefiled by the seed of Adam.. we are adopted into His Family by Grace ..”no one is good”ALL have sinned. But His free Gift. hope i interpreted your comment correctly my friend
Well Spoken!!
