I have a 81 FXWG . bought it in 88 at Fullerton H D CA still ride it after 31 yrs. Have some up grades . single fire electronic ign electric start an kick . Techcycle starter kit 3 inch belt drive S & S stroker 514 cam. .Its clean I just ride it for pleasure. runs great.
The Wide Glide would be my favorite Harley, but I refuse to deal with tube type tires. I've been stranded way too many times by tube type tires, and almost killed a couple of times when the tubes blew out at 80 mph on the highway
You would think as much as the dog is around the bikes he would be use to them and pay no attention. lol ! I like the handlebars on that year they are a lot more comfortable for me than some later ones and modern handlebars.
Seems kind of goofy for Harley to give you a kicker but the bike needs 2 revolutions before it sparks. Is that a Dyna 2000I ignition in it now? ps-you got some kinda eye man, to notice there's new paint on the caliper but the nipple is original!
@@HuntingHarleys Stock points but this came with the electronic ignition didn't it? V-fire something-something...? At 4:25 "...the original ignition system you can't kick them it takes 2 complete revolutions to start them..." Yeah I forgot this video is 7 years old.
the 1980's, most of them, had the turn signals mounted on a "stud" through a tube off the top triple tree, same with the 1977 - 79 FXS Lowrider. SOME 1980 FXS's also had this, only the early ones as HD was still using up old parts
HuntingHarleys hey Todd have you ever tried to put bear in a side car? To me it mainly looks like he really just wants to ride with you, my last dog use to love going for rides on my four wheeler and always wanted to go on my Harley but obviously we never figured that one out...but if I had a side car I know he would of just loved it!! If there's a way to protect your seat from his toe nails I'd try him out in your classic sidecar bike...:) that would be a kickass video...lol
that 57 FLH is wa too nice and way to valuable to risk Bear doo doo paws all over it. if I ever get a junker, then I will see if he will go for rides and if I hit the lotto, I'll buy a junker just to give him rides!
HuntingHarleys ya I completely understand I know that bike is of Museum quality no doubt! Come on everyone keep your eyes open for a beater side car bike for baby Bear......Lol :)
I have #13 off the line in 1984. These bikes were the most beautiful from factory HD ever made.
Great number!

That dog is priceless😂😂
I was at Malcolm Forbes New Jersey home many years ago and he had one these mounted on a wall like a deer head.
Verry cool. I wander though what dogs perseve when they hear these old harlies. They seem to not like them.
Love this bike, just love it. It's a shame they don't sell it im my country.
Doodoo has a heart of gold...now come on dad your not going without me.....lol
I have one of those same Harley emblems but...can't decide wether to put it on my battery case or not....

I didn't get him until he was two years old, that is why. I am working with him and he is slowly getting better.
HuntingHarleys
Yeah he'll learn just takes some time
DANG THAT SOUNDS NICE!
that dog say ''HEY THAT IS MY BABY, GET YOUR ASS OUT OF IT''
Nice. Missing oil cooler, sissy bar with leather bag. But still, nice for its age.
sissy bar and bag were standard "extras". IE, many were ordered without. Oil cooler also, having one in a cold area of the USA was a bad idea.
I love that dog!
+SuperTroutwhisperer the doodoo was the best ever
@@HuntingHarleys sorry for your loss brother. I had to put my dog down a year ago. Wish they could live as long as us.

nope, only sold 3 parts too
My 1980 FXWG has the Yankee T/S mounted on the triple tree. Is mine correct??
