Best advice...
My brother and I spent a lot of our childhood playing Timesplitters: Future Perfect together. The fact we still don’t have a remake with updated graphics and modern controls is criminal.
Funny enough, Homefront the Revolution on PC has a hidden remaster of TS2 tucked away. Not too hard to access and easier with a mod to extract JUST TS2 as a standalone executable. Google "Homefront revolution TS2 remaster how to unlock full game"
Time Spitters Future Perfect. Oh god. I remember having so much sooo much fun.
Ah, Jaisus, TimeSplitters 2 was just one of my formative gaming experiences, on split-screen co-op. What a fun game that was!
If you have or buy Homefront the Revolution on PC you can access a hidden remaster of TS2 inside of Homefront. You can google how to access it, takes a few tries but its not too bad to do.
There was a mode on timesplitters where you had to avoid getting set on fire. Still one of the funnest game modes in games.
Flame Tag and Virus iirc
Man I would love another and a revisit to "the darkness" games. The vibe, lore and gore was just fantastic and done well
EY Jackie!!!
When it comes to FPS, timesplitters 2 is the GOAT
Facts!!
If you have Homefront Revolution on PC you can access a remaster of TS2 inside the game.
Level editor and unlocking all the game modes and skins was the hardest I ever went in a game as a child.
I've always wondered where this game has been. Always had a blast playing infection with my bois as all the different kind of monkeys
Hey Jake, you frequently talk about your love of Batman. What are some of your favorite Batman storylines in the comics. And to follow up, Have you read Batman: White Knight? If not...10/10 recommend
Maybe a bit of a cheesy comment who wont be seen much many, but I wanna say thank you for bringing this series some modern day attention, as someone who was been waiting for years, and years for a return to this nostalgic classic. I am grateful for using your platform to shine light on the beauty of this series.
With big name Hollywood actors finding their way into big AAA games, what actor/actress would you love to play as/with?
Really awesome to see your thoughts on Timesplitters! I'm right there with you on bringing back that feeling of couch co-op FPS like it was. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question and the thumbnail is great ;)
I still remember when Time Splitters 4 was a thing. This series stole hundreds of hours from me as a kid. The co-op, multilayer options, and the insane amount of unlockables were amazing. I'd kill for just a remaster of TS2 at this point.
Timesplitters split screen was awesome! I played on gamecube, the campaign was awesome as well. Tough to go back and play now, would be great with some updated physics in a new engine and whatnot
ur uploads are a really nice distraction from life I appreciate u a lot
My favourite FPS series for sure ❤
It has so many great features.
Golden eye was the four player first person that was fun for the entire day, all in the same room.
Such an honour to have my question answered on one of your videos! Thank you Jake!!! ❤️

I played some timesplitters 2 with my buddy on parsec last year and we thought it was still awesome!
I love timesplitters
Glad others did too
fuck yeah, you're gonna love Jeff Lemire books. He's one of my all time favorites. His Animal Man run is bonkers.
Jake. Thank you for answering where you get your shirts. I’ve asked that many times.
Who is your favorite music artist of all time? What is your favorite genre?
Timing of this is great lol was just talking about this game the other day, would be cool to see a modern version of Timesplitters
The timesplitters franchise is probably the first person shooter I've had the most fun with. I was basically unstoppable in future perfect on Xbox live. Sure do miss seeing my gamer tag scrolling across the title screen as a ticker showing my achievements to the world! Seriously what an incredible game.
Many fond memories playing these as a kid
I’m so happy to hear people talk about timesplitters. I played that game so much 😂
Im 32 with three siblings who are nearly a decade younger than me. We didnt have much common ground in terms of things we loved together back in the day, but TS2 and TS:FP were two of those games that brought us all together, quite the pinnacle of split-screen arcade multiplayer as far as the mid 2000s went. THe siblings and I still quote the character selection lines from time to time. Trust me, Ive been eyeing that TimeSplitters Rewind project thats been in the works for what feels like a decade now. Im hoping there'll be a day where I can drag my computer out to the living room and play that with my siblings on the couch one more time. I love jackbox party pack nights but man I know thatd be something the four of us would love to see here in the near future.
Bat cave really came along well, happy for you bro
Hey Jake! Always appreciate these videos, and was curious as to what your "guilty pleasure" game is, as in whats a game you always return to for comfort, or keep close to your heart regardless of replays? Cheers!
I endorse this 100%
Time splitters and red faction were stand outs in my childhood. Cheers for unlocking those childhood memories!!
There is an independant team that is doing a remake of the 3 Timesplitter (single player and multi player content) called "Timesplitter Rewind". But it is taking a lot of time because the team is not that big (and searching for new members to help out) and they have to remake all of the assets of all the 3 games so it is quite a lot. But so far what they have done seems really good!
There's already a project in the works called Timesplitters Rewind. It's been in production for a while but it's slowly coming along.
Time splitter future perfect map building was just mind blowing to me back in the day.
Build a map and then able to play it for a Playstation 2 game was crazy.
Then the multi-player character roster of that game is insane and some had hidden moves.
The weapons same story.
This game won't ever go away from my number one spot.
Finally! Content I can get behind!
This was class! Thanks jake ❤❤
I love going back and checking out the old TMNT comics I was really into back in the 90s. For me that was kind of the pinnacle of the turtles comic book era and damn that shit was violent and awesome. I tried to get my son into it who is starting to dabble in comic books, but after seeing the cartoons for so long, he can’t get over the whole white eye aspect of the comics. He says them having white eyes freaks him out a little bit. It still blows me away how they made all these children’s toys and cartoons with those comics as a base point considering how bloody and just off-the-wall violent they were I remember that used to confuse me growing up that they were doing a cartoon and it was supposed to be for kids.
Timesplitters multiplayer was my childhood, so many hours of hilarious fun. Campaign was so over the top and hilarious. Absolutely loved the game
Have great memories of waking up early at my cousins before the rest of the house and playing couch co op Halo and Diablo 1
Timesplitters 1 and 2 was my FAVORITE games as a kid. I would love a remake
Jake, your video game ideas are consistently interesting. I absolutely love the idea of a Frankenstein game! The graphics would need to be exemplary in order to fully show off the hideous, patchwork putrescence of the monster.
Thanks for answering my question! I like a lot of Jeff Lemire's work. Descender/Ascender is great. Gideon Falls is phenomenal! Both have great artists with distinct styles. If you're looking for a new artist to get into, my suggestion would be Tradd Moore. His art is so trippy and his latest work proves he's got writing chops too. If you haven't yet, check out Silver Surfer: Black and Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise.
I’m 27 and time splitters is one of my favorite games of all time. Still got my copies plus the digital downloads.
If you have a PC, Homefront the Revolution contains a hidden remaster of TS2 you can easily and quickly access. If you dont own it, a key for steam is like 4$ on average.
I’m not alone! lol I loved those games. I am shocked we haven’t gotten a future perfect reskin. I miss having map makers for multi player and traditional coop for sure. These games had tons of content and challenges everything a good game should have.
I got to play the Serbia level demo of Timesplitters 2 at PlayStation Experience Expo in London many years ago before its release and fell in love with it. I’d love to see it brought back even as a HD remake.
My childhood best friend and I would play timepslitters 2 on the ps2 with bots ALL the damn time, some of my favorite memories growing up.
OMG, I loved this game series, always played as R109.
If they remaster and reboot I would preorder so fast. Those games got me into fps games with my dad when I was a young kid. Same with the first two red factions.
Lmao my wife and I were feeding our baby and you read my question out loud! I gushed so hard thanks Jake and great video like always my man ❤see you sk8r boy
Sorry im late, i watched on release but forgot to comment (I love your commentary videos btw very cozy and refreshing, I love a good yap)
- QUESTION -
What are your thoughts on the or feelings on the state of beyond good and evil 2? I loved 1 as long as I can remember - not so much on game delays or industry timelines but the content of the game itself, scope, ships, story - I really think after Starfield, Star Citizen, and NoManSky that people are hot on evaluating what space games can or "should" really be
Let me know!!!! : )
Please bring it back omg I want it need it love it!
I will never forgive Embracer for killing TimeSplitters again. WE WERE SO CLOSE!
Timesplitters 2 couch co-op was such a great time!
The thumbnail for your Before you Buy for driving games could be you behind the wheel of the game's car.
Back in the 2000s, most multiplayer games had clans that fostered an amazing sense of community. I was in a CS:S clan, and hanging out in our server gave me some of my best teenage memories. Did you experience anything similar? Do you think online gaming has lost its ability to foster these tight knit communities, and if so, do you think there's anything it can do to bring it back?
My friend recently tried to join a clan in an online game, and immediately heard straight up racist and homophobic rants in the clan voice chat. Yeah, I think it has lost that ability as the gaming community has become so infected by fake toxic gamers who just want somewhere they can hide and be a loser because obviously they have nothing in their lives. Most people used to game just for the joy of it, I have to go out of my way to carve out time for gaming in my life so I damn well play something I enjoy, now I'm convinced at least 20% of 'gamers' don't play a single thing and just want something/a bandwagon to be angry about
How are you feeling about manor lords? I love how natural the city building is and seeing people go about their lives so immersively. I would imagine you'd enjoy it a lot as a chill game.
Obligatory comment: great stuff, man! Looking forward to the next video. 😊
I'd be curious to what your top 3 game soundtracks would be?
I find that indie games have the coolest OSTs, like Katana Zero, Child of Light, Transistor etc go so much harder than AAA stuff.
Hey Jake! Always look forward to these videos I have a question for you!
With AAA Games being unsustainable by most companies what gaming franchises that are considered AAA would you think could be successful with the AA type treatment (Shorter, More focused narrative, smaller budgets) ?
2:17 Serious Sam! The Fusion package is great, I think you can do huge LAN lobbies too
Hey Jake! Long time, no ask. I think people discount how we all develop secondary skills. Your favorite reviewer might have also developed into a crazy good editor, for instance, but it isn't a point in conversation. Do you have any cool secondary skills you want to talk about?
Great video. I agree with the love of comics. I read and collect 80's and 90's Silver Surfer and Fantastic Four comics due to it having sentimental value from my childhood. With all of your interests, how much time of your day involves playing games? With all of life's responsibilities, it takes me long periods of time to finish games.
What would your ideal Resident Evil game be if you were to have creative freedom? Any time period, any characters (new/existing), any setting.
Personally, I think the RE4 remake was incredible, but I miss the gritty horror vibe of RE2/3 remakes. I would want another game with the classic zombies
There’s a whole fan remake that’s been going on since like 2018. They post annual videos with updates. It looks great
Hey Jake! Been a long time user (since 2015 I think), great content as always. My question is do you have an obscure gameplay feature or mechanic that you would want to see come back. For me it was the taunt system from the old arena shooters like Unreal Tournament where your character would talk shit after loading up 6 rockets and blowing up someone. I guess due to toxicity issues, these days they don't have these or maybe just fun commentary like in the SSX or the burnout series. These used to add so much character to the game.
i wish these q&a videos were more frequent
Proud of you today and everyday. xox.
The Lego Delorean is epic. Especially if you have the hoverboard from the Lego Dimensions set to go with it!
LOVE THESE! Top for me is future perfect
Screencheat is a cool Steam game with some fun, fast-paced Timesplitters multiplayer deathmatch vibes. The twist? All players are invisible, so you have to ghost one another to get a kill!
They should bring back timesplitters, I’d totally buy that
With the Max Payne remake being Remedy’s next thing, what are some things you’d like to see? Aside from graphical updates what are you expecting?? I’m stoked to see more of this
I love your dog!!
For QnA:
What’s your 5 most played games in your catalog?? Would love to know what games you continuously go back to.
What was the aftermath like of the Metal Gear Solid cologne review video? I love that video!
Just finished watching you on fps. Here for my monthly dose of user question... I mean "Q&A" 😂
Love the shirt on the topic of silent hill what is your favorite in the series Also if you could have a survival horror game that's been dead but could see it being resurrected what would it be
I live for these, thank ya Uncle Jake!
What're your thoughts on X-Men '97? I didn't grow up with the original show but will certainly be going back to watch it once this season of '97 is done! Episode 8 😰😰
Jake, I’m in the same boat as you with not really reading new comics anymore, but you should check out the 1991 8 issue series of Challengers of the Unknown. I bought all 8 issues at a flea market when I was a kid and fell in love with it
I played Timesplitters when i was 19 so technically not a kid but loved it. My friends thought it was too dorky, they were more into Socom. Funny thing is we were in the army already doing this stuff in real life. Seemed boring to me to do a simulated thing we do in real life but to each their own.
For the next QnA. What your opinion on the console generation as a whole, we are already 4 years into the lifecycle and I just can’t imagine yet another console coming out from Sony or Microsoft in the next 3 to 4 years. We have barely any new games worth taking about this generation
You should do a video on Timeshift. That game felt revolutionary when it came out.
A Van Helsing game, in the style of modern God of War, where you take down the Universal movie monsters would be a good time
Army of two series was a great couch co-op that I wish didn’t end
With the Returnal announcement and video game adaptations generally top of mind due to Fallout etc. right now, what game(s) would be your dream comic adaptations? Curious to get your take as a comic fan! Thanks for the awesome videos
I watch all Jake’s videos, even when I have zero interest in the game / content being discussed, because something about his voice calms me so much. He could do a 3 hour in depth analysis on tax legislation and I would genuinely watch the whole thing
can you give us a brief tour of your new home office? I want to see some of that cool swag and decoration stuff you have in the backgrounds and on the shelves.
Hey Jake great video as usual. I’m really looking forward to dragon age dreadwolf. Inquisition was my first ever dragon age game n I fell in love with it. Was wondering if you were excited for the game n if you could share some news bout it.
I gots a question for you
1.) Do you think Sengoku Basara will be remade?
2.)
Do you think a sequel or a reboot of Crash of the Titans would work
Hot take but I don't think so: Crash of the Titans Crash is the best looking Crash with the Tattoos
I straight up forgot about this game (time splitters 2)!! It was so much fun. I miss couch coop pvp but to be fair i wouldn't play them now. My besties are grown up and in different states. But man.. back in the day, playing red dead, golden eye, Turok were the best times.
In case anybody doesn't know timesplitters two and three are available on the Xbox live marketplace and they constantly go on sale for about $2.50.
Hi Jake! You are a casual wrestling fan right? Who is your current fav WWE Superstar? Do you aware of the current Triple H era?
God damn it. Thought I was an announcement video lol
Hey Jake, long time gamer, first time caller here. I really like the phrase "video game-ass-video game" and think of it whenever I start a new game.
On that note, my question is: what is the rubric like for a game to qualify as a VGAVG? Is it mostly gameplay based? Can a "bad" game still be called such even if it fails to be on par with other great games? Loaded question, but would love to know what else goes into the phrase.
Thanks for all your great content and all the best!
I've played both Titanfall 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy this year and both made me think of video ass video games in the best possible way.
Car face is so good lmao
One of my favourite underrated games is "The Thing" ps2. It followed John Carpenter's film really well. Had a great atmosphere and the trust system was pretty unique. Do you think it would be a good time to make another "The Thing" video game with today's technology? Or which John Carpenter film do you think is ripe for a video game adaptation?
Ou I'd love a Universal Monsters game! Also I've always been curious on where your "Pizzas on me" catchphrase comes from?
Also how do we claim these pizzas? (lol)
