Long term fan here and I truly adore his videos. Having said that, I bought the Pixel 9 on pre order. One of the major reasons why I pre-ordered was that my Moto Edge 30 was showing a a exchange discount of Rs. 20k. And there was a promotional discount of 1k, so I paid 59k for the phone. I used to buy moto phones because of the stock UI, I have used 4 moto phones only because of this reason, but the camera stutters and un optimised software is a big issue, clicking and sending a photo via whatsapp camera is a solid 45-60 sec task. And I always wanted a pixel, and using a pixel: the device feels alive. The haptics the animation are just chefs kiss. The camera is beautiful and more apps need to support HDR file sharing and playback. Yes, the phone heats up if you constantly take photos and videos because it is taxing. But, using a case you can barely feel it. Yes, tensor g5 will be ground breaking blow everything out of the water, but pixel 9 the base model is a beautiful smartphone and it'll give you joy while you use it. Also, 9 pro will not be priced aggressively, false hopes.

@@martinjohn7513 yes, from the front and sides it's very much and apple industrial design but from the back it's distinct. One thing is, the phone is heavier compared to 6.1" iphones and thick. Using a case, it feels chooonnky as cases tend to provide camera protection and the thickness is especially noticeable coming from a moto edge 30.

But normally, bad one reports very regularly, good one reports hardly.
      Human psychology and statistics.
If 1000 people buy same phone, and 950 are satisfied by product; then hardly 10 will write that they are satisfied.
But out of remaining 50, almost more than 25 will write that product is bad.
So only by looking at comment statistics, product is 2.5 times bad; which is actually not a true analysis.

Anyways I'm also using a pixel phone pixel 8 pro actually and tbh it does get warm while using outdoors navigation and all stuff I'll not say over heating.. but it does over heat when i play some games casually again when I'm outside in collage campus no fan no ac sun light and max out brightness.. but I'll say the brightness drop is less noticeable compared to iphone my friend have one a 14pro max and his phone drop brightness like within 5-7 minutes outdoors compared to mine that drops brightness after around 15-20 minutes that too js less noticeable@@radiologistanonymous2353

Exchange deal or not, you’re still paying same price. You didn’t get old phone for free. IMO, Pixel isn’t for Indian consumers. It’s priced like a premium yet only good thing is software, nothing else. Hardware has been poorly made. Hard pass.

Here’s a structured summary of the key points from the Pixel 9 Review & FAQ video:
    ### General Impressions
    - **Pixel 9 Overview**: Focuses on the user experience after a week of use. Video aims to answer common questions, especially whether the Pixel 9 is a worthy upgrade and if it can be recommended to friends and family.
    ### Battery Life
    - **Battery Specs**: 4,700 mAh battery.
    - **Performance**: Idle drain is minimal, which significantly improves battery life.
    - **Screen-On Time**:
    - Heavy usage: ~5.5 hours
    - Mixed usage: ~7 hours
    - **Overall**: Good battery life for a compact smartphone, especially impressive due to low idle drain.
    ### Heating Issues
    - **Pixel 9 vs. Pro Series**: The regular Pixel 9 heats up more compared to the Pro models.
    - **Vapor Chamber**: Unlike the Pro models, the Pixel 9 does not have a vapor chamber, contributing to more noticeable heat during tasks like camera use or heavy multitasking.
    - **Thermals**: Still an improvement over Pixel 8, but heating is not completely resolved.
    ### Charging
    - **Speeds**: Pixel 9 is not equipped with fast charging seen on other Android phones.
    - **Performance**:
    - ~50% charge in 30+ minutes.
    - Full charge takes over 1.5 hours.
    ### AI Features
    - **Pixel Screenshots**: Useful for organizing screenshots.
    - **Pixel Studio**: More of a gimmick; not extensively used.
    - **Gemini Live**: Provides conversational AI support but is more of a standalone feature compared to Samsung's more integrated AI.
    - **Gemini Subscription**: 1-month free with Pixel 9 (12 months with Pro version).
    ### Camera Performance
    - **Main & Ultra-Wide Cameras**: Same as Pixel 9 Pro, except for the lack of 5x zoom.
    - **Ultra-Wide**: Offers great coverage but suffers from slight color shifts.
    - **Zoom**: Digital zoom up to 5x works well; at 8x, still delivers decent detail.
    - **Front Camera**: Noticeably better on the Pro series compared to the regular Pixel 9.
    ### Gaming
    - **Not Recommended**: Pixel 9 is not ideal for hardcore gaming. Lacks high graphics settings and constant FPS performance seen in Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices.
    ### Conclusion
    - **Recommendation**: Overall, the Pixel 9 has solid performance but is not ideal for power users looking for top-tier gaming or fast charging. A solid choice for everyday users focused on photography, AI features, and moderate usage.

Great, exhaustive video. I guess more than any other reaction, I am quite pissed with Pixel 9. It is so expensive yet has all these issues. At that price point, you need to provide some better reasons for people to pick it up. Another issue is the dismal offline channels, most of the Reliance Digital and Croma stores don't even have the stock, it is almost like Google is not even interested in selling these phones, and they are just for geeks at this point. As a Pixel user who was looking to upgrade, I think I may mostly go with iPhone 15 or 16 now.

I like the pixel but I just can't see the price making sense when your ready just getting a Mid-Range phone I mean you can get the new iPhone 15 for 800 USD the Samsung s24, and many others where you win with the pixel 9 is if you did a trade-in and got the phone for free or his significant discount. I think the price is this way cuz next year it's supposed to have the Snapdragon chipset but who knows 🤷

For people who are buying phones for gaming,
Please if you're really interested in gaming stop paying more for mobile games a phone that costs more than 40k is just overkill for mobile gaming if you have money then I would suggest you to ditch your high end mobile buy a mid ranger and go for pc/console gaming those are many many miles ahead

I'd say 12mp for 90% of pic ie action and 50mp for landscapes and not action shots.

What is your current phone ? and What you do ? Both are important question to buy new phone.
If you want phone, where you need finished product with least amount of issues, and somehow you don't need windows system very regularly in your life; go for Apple.
If you are tech enthusiast and kind of ticker your phone a lot and experiments a lot, go for pixel.
But still for same amount of money, Apple is better choice on any day.
