4 tablespoons of MCT oil per day works beautifully. My Ketones go to 1.5! i would have have to fast 48 hours and excercise to get those numbers bc of bad insulin resistance and lots of daily stress factors. And the brain fog is gone, i sleep deeply. And by day 2 my hunger is gone. This is amazing 😂😂😂 best keto cheat ever ❤ 👏 🎉

@@debbieodonnell2482 i suggest start very slowly with the MCT oil. Like every 3 days up the dose just a pinch and eat with other foods so it absorbs slowly. First just dip a small spoon and eat that. Next time eat a few drops and so on. If necessary take your meals with digestive enzymes. The effect of MCT oil is short, it wears out in 4 to 5 hours. Don't give up 😀💪

22:45 minutes to get to slide about MCT oil turns into KETONES. At age 71 I elect to put 1 tbs MCT oil in my coffee 3 times a day. FASTING made easier. If I get rapid BM's --- with zero hunger GREAT. Decrease appetite, improve memory, lower glucose, lower inflammation, decrease cortisol, decrease blood sugar. MCT oil 3 day or 72 hour FAST.

    .
    Very slow and steady.
Not kidding myself that it was all fat.😂
No MCT oil but I was using coconut oil in my cooking.
Mooved onto pastures new, as I didn't need to lose any more weight.
I also managed extended fasts that peaked at 48 hours. Felt awesome, thought I'd miss eating, far from it

@@LifeIsWonderful675 My guess is she has so many of the capsules made for the business that that is why she used them. But definitely a hassle Versus the quart of oil in larger quantities. I usually just turn the bottle upside down and squeeze it for a bit to add MCT to coffee I sorta estimate how much. I know it’s at least a table spoon or Two a day lately. It’s been a long time since I used it consistently. Mixed keto carnivore diet with days of standard American. So not good. This last week I did fasting and am trying to clean it up significantly. I hope this helps your seizures. That has to be pretty tough. There is a very good doc on ‘Low carb down under’ that is often used when specialist can’t figure out problems. 👋🏼 I have to say this may be true. Another IF/Keto Doc explained at KetoCon that if we fast a lot and stay low carb for a long period of time our bodies can decide to stop burning fat as fuel and instead store it causing dimpling on the skin. I’m 55 and have been IF-ing (varying fasts from 15hr-3 days) since 2017 and I’ve acquired these pesky dimples and it is VERY hard to get rid of! I’m resistance training, doing yoga, walking and just started hyper-volting the heck out of my thighs 2 days ago 🙏🏼 this helps!

I really haven’t found a reason or motivation to fast longer than 36hrs - 40 hrs. I am not sure it is benign to fast longer than that unless for serious medical reasons like Dr Longo’s studies on cancer patients and Dr Boz’s experience with the 72hr fasts for her mom. I would consider some sort of targeted fast for a very specific medica reason. Otherwise, for regular maintenance, 36-40hrs is a couple of times a month is good for me.

A way to take MCT C8 without crunching handfuls of pills, especially for anyone who drinks coffee, is to buy powdered MCT oil and add it to your coffee. In addition to promoting ketones, it happens to be the best-tasting substitute I've found for cream. It "whittens" coffee like cream without adding any flavor or sweetness. It does cause some intestinal gas so start with half a scoop and build up. By using MCT C8 in my coffee, I extend my fast by several hours. Note, you do not want to use plain MCT. I did a double-blind study on myself. I saw a cheaper version of MCT and switched to that. After a couple of months, I noticed my weight going up. Then I realized I had accidentally switched to plain MCT and not exclusively MCT C8. Back on C8, my weight is going back down. I happen to use the 2 lb. Nutricost powder on subscription from the "big river". I also use Intentionally Bare Pure C8 Organic MCT Oil in my salad dressing. You're wasting money buying capsules if you compare $ per gram buying powder or a container of oil.

But they don't do it that way. and trying to make contact with them for over a week every day or so. I finally got a response 8 days later was can't return items that had been opened. Dr Boz team took so long to reply to my request with no real solutions to my problem. So I chalked up as a lesson well learned.

Since I'm eating my sardines during my 4 hour eating window, would you still place me in Zone 6? Or does the Sardine-Challenge count as Zone 12? Thank you!

In my opinion most non-structural back problems are caused by inflexibility. Fighting existing stiffness during stressful episodes causes inflammation. I had sporatic back issues over the years until I made an extreme effort to work out the stiffness in my back in my 50's. I realized that despite the weight training I was doing, I had no strength in my back because there was minimal spinal mobility. I even gained half an inch in height.

As far as supplements are concerned, I never buy anything in pill form that can be purchased reliably in bulk. And as for MCT oil, I have always had issues with coconut oil and diarrhea. When I started MCT oil I bought a bottle and used no more than one teaspoon an hour, either in my coffee substitute (chicory) with my cream, or off a spoon. It is tasteless, and leaves no aftertaste, so no reason to buy gelcaps.
