- The internet has been melting down with news about SRAM's Eagle AXS Transmission and Code Ultimate brakes - but how does it all actually ride and perform out there on the trails? Well, we've been testing all of the new gear for 3 full months and our verdict is in - push play to hear more!

i love the idea of doing away with the old hanger mount to provide a solid and exact location of the derailuer for accurate shifting purposes, especially the deletion of b & hi-lo screws…..thing is though …that the lower paralelogram/jockey wheels now become the sacrificial lamb when it comes to damage….but i’d rather all the benefits of the T derailuer system over a bending hanger…
Good review boys. Looks like Sram hit it out of the park. I wonder where that pine forest is... ;)
Can we use the X0 model chain with the XX cassette? What is the difference at chains? XX chain more durable ? Or they are same at durability?
Not getting any chain slap? Im getting a lot of chainslap on my megatower v2
Hey guys, awesome insight, looking at building up a new bike in the near future, did sram give a price guide for all there new gear, would definitely be interested
Yeah like $3000.00 usd
I do like the idea of motorized shifting, but as soon as I hear, somebody say, “it’s not shifting” which I’ve already heard,
I’m out.
Need to be tested on ebikes
Oh great let's make MTB riding even more expensive . 🤯
Let's pay bike manufactures exorbitant amounts of money to remove a perfectly good system and replace it with one that improves the derailleur cable and now the hanger for a negligible improvement.
Un fortunately there are plenty of riders out there that place more emphasis on bling and coolness than on the simple joy of riding . well ,i guess if you've got the funds go ahead and opt for a world of pretentious coolness .
There are a ton of manual systems out there that work great! With new high end products appearing, lower end products tend to get more features and/or decrease in price. So let's see what the future brings - a 25 dollar generic disc brake today is better than anything I could have imagined owning 20 years ago. I also don't think the derailleur hanger is going anywhere - at the "worst" all bikes in the future are going to use an UDH. Which is a good thing for bike owners AND shops at the same time.
