Dude. I've been more of a hard rock and modern blues kind of guy all my life. This extra time at home with the COVID stuff has given me time to dive into different stuff I probably wouldn't have otherwise found. I've become a die hard country fan over these months. (Good country, not the pop stuff). Sturgill Simpson is pretty much the reason why. I don't even remember what rabbit hole I went down that brought me to his music, but holy sh*t, am I glad I got here. He's freakin' amazing.
If you dig this and you're a blues rock guy you'll love his album Sound and Fury.
I found these guys last night by accident . I can't do anything but listen to them over and over again. For everyone that' wants the old stuff back it won't get any better than this . I have never seen anyone live .but if they come to Morgantown or Charleston wv .I will be there . I can't wait. You guys are awesome.

That's a fine list of artists, but Long White Line is Aaron Tippen's song, Call me the Breeze is JJ Cale's song, and Memphis Minnie wrote Levee Breaks.

This kills me. I had tickets to this show and couldn't get there. Saw him in Hampton Beach in '15, and will see him again in Mansfield in September, but still would have liked to make the Orpheum show!

Love song choice JJ Cale being my favorite artist and Sturgill Simpson a great artist and he worked on rails as I did as a Hog head ( if familiar to this term as he would or should remember these old timed RR terms) I did however find sound quality is not as good as I would like or he desired but I know to a small degree the limitation of recording live.OD CD 206 Seattle.

I challenge you to listen to "a sailors guide to earth" from start to finish.....if you don't dig it like no other album you have ever heard.....then....sadly, your ear holes are broken beyond repair.....and....that good sir....is a travesty that you will, unfortunately, suffer until you face your maker at the end of that long white line.
