wow - that really looks awesome and I looked at the finished product - wow! - going to try it and try too the tip below looking up eye shadow instead of the mica - there are a few MMF books that I would like to try out with this - so hard to get a good finish on them - this might be my answer - thank you for posting this
Hi Aaron, thanks for this tip, I tried it and it worked really well. I also tried it with watercolour and that works well too, although there isn’t the shine that the Mica has.
You might be able to use eye shadows in place of the expensive micas. You can get them at dollar tree for like, um a dollar. Eye shadow has mica in it and I use it in crafting in place of mica frequently. Just a thought.
I used eyeshadow it worked great to color it but was kind of messy when cutting it got all over my fingers which lead to it on everything else, any tips on this?
What a great idea. Makes the books look so much more interesting.
"Pigment of your imagination" love it!
Thank You. This was just what I was looking for. I wasted a lot of money trying to recreate this. I have all these supplies at home!
Your welcome.
Thank you so much! I’m very excited to try this. Take care. 😊
I've been looking for a video on this subject. Now I found one. Thank you!

Thanks Sharon!
I'd like to see the book with the folded design on it.

Thank you for the idea!!!
Thank you. Beautiful.
Thanks I had some mica left over from my soap making !
Can you share a folded book after painting i5 so one can see the effect?
If you wanted to add color to a 180 fold would you do the initial folds then add the color to the front edge, or would the process be different?
Thanks🎉
Question… the added glue doesn’t make the pages stick together?
If I’d waited one minute longer my question would have been answered. But I’m impatient 😂
@@paulacoley6278 No worries Paula.
If you were to add color to a 180 fold would you do all the initial 180 folds and then paint the front edge? Or would the process be different?
Meifwa- I don't know. I've never done a 180 fold.
I would imagine so. Just hold the book extra tight while you paint.
Awesome thank you
You're welcome Noreen.
