Thank you, Cindy! I really appreciate this tutorial. I’ve just done a heart pattern as my first book folding and can’t wait to advance. I’m so grateful for stumbling onto this vid right now. Thanks be to our algorithm overlords. 😁I’ve learned so much more than I ever hoped!
Cindy you are a gifted teacher and so easy to follow, I love that about you, and thank you. The only thing I found which is difficult for me is the music it is very distracting. Other than that a wonderful how to video.
From what I can tell in the tutorial, the color is from the little piece of colored paper she put under the fold. The pieces that are cut further in expose the colored paper, and the rest of the edge of the page hides it. For more than 1 color, I'm guessing you have to just refer to the original design while placing the colored papers.
You cut every mark that you make. You will always have an even number of cuts. Then, you can fold the odd number of tabs, or the even number of tabs. Folding the even number tabs makes your picture sunken into the book. Folding the odd numbers makes the picture stand out and the background sunken in.
Hi Loretta! We are looking into that for you. Cindy has retired, so we're trying to get in touch to get some more information. For the patterns to work you have to input specific information about the height of the book and the number of pages.
This is very, very neat. I enjoy your style. Thanks!!
Wow this was really cool. Works probably take me a long time to complete these but I’m going to give it a go. Thanks for teaching us.

Card stock is what Cindy uses for color in all these folded books.
Hi, how to know if we must cut or fold ?
You cut every mark that you make. You will always have an even number of cuts. Then, you can fold the odd number of tabs, or the even number of tabs. Folding the even number tabs makes your picture sunken into the book. Folding the odd numbers makes the picture stand out and the background sunken in.

You mentioned a combination fold, but that is where you fold in (diagonally) the first and last tabs.
And I am flabbergasted that you can do this so fast! It takes me weeks to get a complicated pattern done!!! (But I work full time. )
