Hospitals will still gouge the client even with medicare for all. I'm on Medicare and can't afford to go to the hospital as their charges are so far beyond what medicare covers. One surgery of 1.5 hours I was billed $164,000. $38,000 for the recovery room, which was staffed by........not a person..... but monitors. I'm not encouraged for America when there is so much greed in the medical industry, not just the insurance companies.

In fact, US healthcare costs per person are more than double UK gov't 's and a bit less than half Canada's subsidized healthcare systems. So the US could probably have medicare for all right now for the same costs they subsidize now. M4A in government funded systems is not only cheaper and more efficient but more humane as citizens can see a doctor of choice anytime, go to ER/hospital anytime and have surgeries without additional cost to their monthly income based rate. I'm very mixed on Dark. I binged it over the course of a week, but it's clear to me that the show should have stuck to a more manageable scale of complexity. Stick to three time periods, don't include 1921 and 2052, and keep the stakes limited to finding who's abducting children. Tons of stuff feel extremely forced in order for characters to get where they need to be (a certain cop attacking a certain kid). I haven't watched the others yet.

The only way I see MFA getting put up for a vote and passed is if there's enough generated enthusiasm in the house and senate, and the president (whoever they are) is championing it to get passed too. I need to see if Dark has a new season out because the end of the most recent season I watched was just so.... bad. lol. I wanted to like the show so bad. Once people experienced the ease and stress free experience of Medicare, there's no way they'd go back. I have tons of friends & fam in deep red Oklahoma, and they LOVE their Medicare. None can explain to me why it's a right for them but for anyone a year or more younger they should be thrown to the wolves.

Katie surprised me in that all of the shows she mentioned, I've already watched and largely agree on her assessment. Matt did not in that everything that he mentioned I have not watched nor plan to do.
I'm very mixed on Dark. I binged it over the course of a week, but it's clear to me that the show should have stuck to a more manageable scale of complexity. Stick to three time periods, don't include 1921 and 2052, and keep the stakes limited to finding who's abducting children. Tons of stuff feel extremely forced in order for characters to get where they need to be (a certain cop attacking a certain kid).
I haven't watched the others yet.

Catholics didn't used to be against abortion. Even the Christian evangelicals weren't against it universally, though it was debated.
But there was a strategic move by the right wing political / religious alliance when FDR was in office and pushing for universal healthcare to frame unborn feti, previously seen as unsouled until birth, as alive and abortion as murder: just to confuse the issue. It worked and changed the world for the worse.
Medical business should not be allowed to be a free enterprise public or private business. The temptation to exploit the opportunity for gains is too tempting and people should not be subject to the cost affects of that. What greater leverage does someone have than your health or the health of someone you love, what wouldn't you pay to feel better. Listen, You want awesome shoes? great. find a company that makes dope shoes and pay what you will. You need health care, well... welcome to the world of being over charged for inadequate care and a system that incentives long term treatments over cures, and wears an iron glove of legally mandated over inflated health care payments. I wasn't looking at the screen at the time, and for just a second I thought the actor John Krasinski wasn't a complete CIA pawn.
The only way I see MFA getting put up for a vote and passed is if there's enough generated enthusiasm in the house and senate, and the president (whoever they are) is championing it to get passed too. Bernie isn't going to do it, he's too afraid as we saw last month in that garbage e-mail he sent out saying MFA would not be fought for in his stimulus package. But if enough house and senate members, will probably have to be new blood cause those in now sure as hell won't fight for it either, then it very well could.
As for Bernie, don't bother with him. He's too busy giving head to Biden to think of the country. He's a Democratic loyalist. Sure, he gave votes a reason to vote, but he was never going to push for their support. If he really cared, he would've pushed MFA already. Would've gotten to every Dem he could, then went to every state and pushed voters to get their representatives to vote for it or be voted out of office. He didn't do that. We need to find a better candidate with a strong backbone.

Benjamin Predmore ..if you want some good Belgian shows, (not the Walloon bullshit) watch Professor T.....it is in Flemish, but has English subtitles!....Also, learn Flemish (Dutch) it is a very simple language to learn, although French is also easy to learn.
A logistical nightmare? Try running everyone’s healthcare as a central planner. Government can only shut things down. It can’t start things up. Movie theaters are allowed to open by government order last weekend in Texas. And they didn’t. Most things are far too complicated for central planning.

I need to see if Dark has a new season out because the end of the most recent season I watched was just so.... bad. lol. I wanted to like the show so bad. I think the actors are good, the first season was good, the premise itself is alright, but by the end of that season I was just like "is this really where they wanna go with everything that just happened?" I just wanna go back to it having the same feeling as season one, eerie but not outright fantastic.

Our best shot now that Sanders has inexcusably rolled for the second time, as Ventura has stated that his values align most closely with the Green Party platform, and as Nina Turner is making #DEMEXIT.sounds, would be a #JESSIENINA2020 run, either with the Green Party, or if there are too many internal issues and ego problems in the Green Party to allow that to take place, then independently or with another left party, or best case scenario, with a coalition of.every left party out there. A Jesse / Nina team could have what it takes to bust through the corrupt "Democratic" and Republican parties' blockade against democracy and challenge their incessant servitude to their corrupting donors, the military industrial complex, etc.. As a nation, a species and a planet we don't have time to waste. We need to.get something going to end government corruption and force it to.resolve social and economic injustice and to devote itself to unifying the planet in an immediate and profound effort to restore climate health, devoting all the necessary resources toward that effort.
