      Still super happy with it!

      I’ve been super happy with for awhile now. I’ve since gotten different bars and have mounted ZumoXT to it., you can see that in my newer videos although I haven’t done a Zumo specific video for it yet.
      Thanks for watching.

    Nice setup. Was reading that you've changed it up a little. I purchased a used 300l with one set up already with the metal bracket arms that connect via the top triple clamp pinch bolts. Mine has a usb/voltmeter and Garmin 396 as well as Touratech locking cradle. Wired to switched power but also has a seperate power control like yours.
    So far I like it but it vibrates quite a bit. I'm thinking it's to do with the metal
    brackets acting in part like a tuning fork of sorts. The GPS shakes so much at times I can't help but chuckle at it. Wondering if your more universal setup mounted to the bars might have less vibrations?

    • @Crittermoto
      @Crittermoto  Рік тому

      Hey thanks for watching and sharing your setup.
      As for vibrations: honestly, I have zero vibrations. Everything is snug n tight. Yes I upgraded to the Garmin Zumo XT and also have the Touratech locking mount with it. I can glance down at it at any given time and see r everything clearly.
      So not sure if yours is due to the metal brackets like you think or not. Hope you can find the issue tho. Cheers!

      Looking at your style arms now as my bracket broke clean off just above the mounting points. :( In rewatching this though I realize the height would be an issue with obstructed view of the guage. Running 1 1/8 bars so no top bar. Not sure what I'll do but can assure others that the little fairing setup makes an appreciable difference if you're of shorter stature.

    Hello.
    could you please show how you fixed the tower to the crosbar? thank you very much, greetings from Portugal

    • @Crittermoto
      @Crittermoto  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, I’ve replaced my bars since this video and it is now set up a little differently. When I did have it on the crossbar what I did was:
      I had some thick rubber spacers left over from various other mounts. I used that to wrap the crossbar to get it to 1” in diameter then the AS mini simply clamped down on that.
      I hope that helps.
      Cheers!

      Hey Dale, I never had an issue without the vibration dampener however having said that, the phone I was using was one of my older ones and I rarely took photos with it. I’ve since updated this setup and am now using the Garmin ZumoXT as my source of navigation. The Garmin I now wear on my body and where the Garmin used to sit I now use as a mounting point for a camera.
      I’ll have an updated video of the setup soon.
      Cheers, and thanks for watching.👍🏻

    Nice setup! I am looking to buy the AS mini fairing that includes the mini tower and am really curious about how you “McGyver’d” the quadlock mount on there? I use quadlock to an really want to use on the mini tower. Was it hard and how did you do it?
    Thanks🙏🏼❤️

    • @Crittermoto
      @Crittermoto  2 роки тому +2

      I’ve not been disappointed with mine 👍🏻
      The AS Mini fairing comes with a mounting bracket for the Quadlock system to mount to. The Quadlok system: I took it apart and used a longer bolt to attach it to the AS. But before I did, I put some 3M double sided tape between the two. This stops the quadlock from spinning.. It wasn’t hard.
      Cheers!
