MINI FAIRING TORQUE SETTINGS FOR CRF300L When mounting the mini fairing to you bike. The 4 bolts you need to remove are called "Top bridge pinch bolts" (in the video they are referred to as "Top triple clamp bolts") and the torque setting is 29NM Torque for the CRF300L.
I emailed adventure spec to see if the tail tidy was suitable for the Rally as it only stated the L. They couldn’t give me a definite answer as they hadn’t tried fitting one to a Rally, which I thought was odd as surely they could potentially double their sales if they tried. I purchased one anyway and I’m happy to say that it does fit, only suggestion is they could have made a dust cover to seal off the hole where the wiring goes under the panel
got the mini fairing for the crf300l. It doesnt block the screen which is great but it does block the top bar of indicators/abs/engine/high beam lights which is a bit annoying. I'm tempted to just grind 1cm off of the bottom so i can see.
The so-called dedicated mini fairing for the crf 300 still obscures the warning lights...... So I took it to the local fabricator who made good with an anvil and a 4 1/2 lbs lump hammer, which is nice.
@@garfieldus yes I was being a little sarcastic about that, it's just pathetic that they can't get something like that right and I cancelled my order for all the rest of the stuff they do.... it took 14 phone calls and numerous emails to sort out that they hadn't sent me the 250 mini fairing..... But all is not lost attach the mini fairing using only the higher strut clamp bolts... Oh and best of luck getting a torque wrench in there .
@@ianharrison5263 Haha, ok. I had thought of making a bracket to lift it in the same way as just mounting it on the top bolt but I think the brake pipe coming from the reservoir will interfere with it.
Hi@@ianharrison5263Apologies you had a bad experience, we try our best to give as much information as possible in the descriptions. This product also has a dedicated write up and extra photos explaining exactly how the fairing is positioned once fitted. Some nice bits there. Just done my first service on the 300L Done all of the GWT TET now, it’s a great bike for that. Think il get the mini screen for it next. (Wind buffeting is a ball ache.)
I'm not sure if this has been fixed but I bought the 300L specific AS Mini fairing last week and it completely hides the top of the instrument cluster. This includes the indicators, ABS light and everything else on the top row of the cluster. Beware...
How do you feel about the 300LS? It’s basically the same bike only a bit shorter in the suspension. It also shares the lackluster suspension of all the other 300 models.
Anyone else experience a loud vibration from the fairing at higher RPMs or speed? I notice the second I hit 63mph, the fairing starts buzzing so loudly I can feel it in the bars and hear it through my helmet. Same issue anytime I accelerate over 7500 rpm’s. Was thinking about placing some rubber spacers between the plastic and the bracket.
what are the 250 and 300L mounts made of? I just got the universal but I know the plastic mounts aren't gonna hold tight off road. Just a matter of time before the screws strip out too. I'd like the CRF model but I ride a 2023 WR450F.
Hi there, I personally have the mounts on my bike and they have held up very well on off road, long distance travel. Have you had a problem with yours as yet? If so just email us and we can look into it www.adventurespec.com/contactus Thanks
Wondering if there is a work around to installing the luggage rack but also keep the passenger pegs? My partner rides sometimes with me. Possible? Love the bike, waiting on mine!
Hi there, thanks for watching! This isn't something we have tried to be honest with you, but I'd suggest checking out the last image on the listings which might help you - all the dimensions are there: www.adventurespec.com/shop?search=CRF300L+rack&order=name+asc Thanks
Did you do a drop test for this radiator brace? For instance, drop the bike from a stand point to fall partially on radiator. I'm not convinced this thin plate of aluminium can protect radiator in that case.
Check out this page, we list which products fit the different models: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/which-honda-crf-will-my-parts-fit-64#scrollTop=0 Thanks
I have the mini fairing installed on a Crf 300l, and I am not very satisfied. When you drive on roads in poor condition or easy dirt tracks, the support does not have enough rigidity and vibrates, so if you have something installed on it, for example a mobile, it can be released and dropped. I'm not sure how to solve this problem. I'm trying to look for adjustable aluminum tensioners so I can anchor the mini fairing on one end and the handlebars on the other, but he didn't finish finding anything.
Hi there, if you follow this link you can create a ticket with head office and they will be able to discuss this with you. They would be happy to give some advice: www.adventurespec.com/contactus Thanks
MINI FAIRING PHONE MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS If you're wondering how you'll mount a phone to the Mini Fairing then I assume most people will use a Quadlock. In this case then I bought the following: 1. Extension arm (50mm) - Motorcycle Handlebar Mount PRO www.quadlockcase.co.uk/collections/shop-motorcycle/products/extension-arm-pro?variant=41287233110191 This is what you'll mount to the mini fairing. I tried the the Flat rectangle 2 hole base first which you can mount diagonally on the sat nav plate but your phone will end up at a slight angle if you do this so don't go down this route. 2. Knuckle Adaptor www.quadlockcase.co.uk/collections/shop-motorcycle/products/motorcycle-knuckle-adaptor-motorcycle-scooter?variant=18336668188787 So you can adjust the angle of your phone on the mount. You could get away without this perhaps but your phone will be mounted at the same angle as the back of the fairing and won't be adjustable. 3. Vibration Dampener and whatever Quadlock lever head you want (standard or wireless charging) 4. An M5 x 20mm bolt, nut & washer (An 18mm should be fine). This is to affix the Quadlock extension arm to the Adventure Spec fairing. 5. You'll need 8mm & 10mm spanners and 3mm & 4mm Allen keys. I didn't bother adding the raised sat nav mounting point to the mini fairing as it's not needed and it raises the phone mount out even further and it already comes out a lot with the knuckle and the dampener. Mount the extension arm to the bottom right hole on the mini fairing then angle it up towards the middle of the mini fairing. Don't fully tighten it as there'll be a bit of fiddling getting it at an angle so your phone is straight. One you've added on all the quad lock bits (keep the knuckle adapter loose at first so it swivels still) then add your phone and tilt it all the way up until its perpendicular and touching the fairing (phone will be facing the sky). This will allow you to ensure your phone is straight before tightening the bolt on the extension arm. You should be done now and can add the front coloured part of the mini fairing to it. When mounting the mini fairing to you bike. The 4 bolts you need to remove are called "Top bridge pinch bolts" in the video they are referred to as "Top triple clamp bolts" and the torque setting is 29NM Torque for the CRF300L
Have I missed something or do the side rails really only mount in 2 places with m6 bolts and what exactly does the radiator brace attach to because it looks like it just attaches to itself and the radiator and not back to the frame so not really doing anything…
The luggage racks are mounted as you describe. The radiator brace creates a 'cage' around the radiator that prevents lateral crushing and is mounted to the frame of the bike. See more here - www.adventurespec.com/shop/as-hrb-0037-adventure-spec-honda-crf300l-radiator-brace-938?search=300l#attr=
Why didn't you guys design the mini fairing to match the top part of the headlight portion ( v shaped ) instead of making it look almost ( m shaped ) just to go with the flow of the top part of headlight plastic and make it much cleaner?
Hi there, that's the design we went with this time! But we're updating and changing all the time, if you want to make suggestions check out this link: www.adventurespec.com/product-development Thanks
Hi Guys, ARE YOU SURE that the REAR RACK, don't fits/mounts/ in a RALLY model of CRF300L 2021/2022 ???? really ? I don't understand ....... why didn't you make a single bracket (with usable screw holes) for the 2 all models? (Rally and Normal CRF300L ) Thank you B.R. Luca

I like the look of those side racks. Do you know if the left one would clear a camel tank? Or would they have to use the same holes at the bottom?

This is the same radiator brace design that we have used for our other bike model hard parts, that have all been used and dropped while riding!

Stock suspension? Curious cause I need bags but can’t figure what to get. Too much gear on this bike would

So what’s protecting the tail light wiring from stones kicking up under mudguard
